Coding during brake conversions is always a tricky subject. If it weren't necessary, why would the OEM bother? Even the ABS control unit has a data set. Coding activates different parts of this data set. To put it dramatically, you're essentially converting the brakes from a Fiat Panda to a Porsche. The control unit, however, still operates with the Panda's data. This means that in very rare situations, which will likely never occur for some people, your entire braking behavior could go haywire.
