If you know better, why doesn't it work? Of course it has a LIN connection to the gateway for the multifunctional steering wheel. The vehicle has more than one LIN connection.

Because your entire system is built on a clock spring in the LIN. Why don't you use the right parts?

Once again. If there was a 5Q1 clock spring before, dismantle it immediately. A 5Q1 spring is a LIN participant of the BCM!!! Not a participant of the CAN!!!!

Why are you installing something that wasn't previously registered in the CAN gateway? Let me guess, a 5Q1 clock spring was installed before? I strongly recommend that you do not move the vehicle and dismantle it immediately

Share a Autoscan from your Car. Which Hardware you have installed?

There are two options: 1) You have a competent mechanic or automotive electrician, or whatever it's called where you live, who knows how to use diagnostic tools. 2) In my experience, it sounds like the clock spring, but I would replace the steering column switch unit and the clock spring... Don't forget to back up your data before the conversion, then code it to the vehicle.

The only thing they do with it is give the alternator a 100% lin signal so that the alternator delivers full power. This tells the vehicle nothing about the battery.

What's the point of this? How do you know that this tells the vehicle there's enough power in the battery?
