All in Service Plan Warranty Saying faulty clutch is not covered on 33k mile 2021
It is 4 years old and not driven by you since new is it? Yes they can be faulty products. There were 2009-2012 then A Global Recall excluding Europe, then a Service campaign on ones 2013-2015, now done 3 times in Australia, then issues 2015-2018 and the TPI. But that is no help to you because like thousands of others you are going by the T&C,s and not The Lemon Law like in Australia, or countries where VW get bent over for stuff not fit for purpose for 6 years.

Kamiq Engine Oil Dipstick
For dipsticks difficult to read i dust a little French Chalk on it before Checking the Level of the oil @ Normal Operating temp as it is supposed to be checked, parked on the flat and 'A few minutes after the engine is off' 4 or 5 is a few. Always check as well when stone cold, so that you know where the oil is before a trip. Compare checked At operating temp, then once cooled down. Operating temp is the correct level. But then you know how much higher above the cross hatch it will be once cooled and even more oil is in the sump.

Roomster - sometimes slow to pull away, is this normal?
If changing oil in a DQ200 DSG then 'Simply clever' to change both oils. Maybe around £200 done at an Automatic Specialist, or nearer £300 at a main dealership. But first best to have the engine running efficiently. The spark plug schedule is 40,000 miles / 4 years.

Roomster - sometimes slow to pull away, is this normal?
Welcome. So a 105 ps 1.2 TSI DSG. Maybe try the shifter back to S as you come up to roundabouts and see if it revving higher before changing up as you move off helps things. Is the servicing up to date, when were the spark plugs changed and the airfilter looked at or changed?

Where is the fuel filter located ?
@fabia29 Gas stations have filters for the fuel passing out of the underground tanks and the petrol / diesel pumps on the forecourt have filters. It certainly not Angola where your location is.,

4.5 Tyre pressues
Go with what suits your use, comfort and safety, grip / traction rather than fuel use reduction. You know how the car is loaded or not and driven, and where. You can adjust the pressures to suit the weather. Summer in the UK is 2 seasons away.

Castrol Edge VW 504 00/507 00 Black Friday deal
VW Group / Skoda recommended CASTROL for many years. Nothing special in the way of oil. Dealerships used QUANTUM, just the same performance in the way of an oil, and now it is Quantum from Fuchs. The Oil to the specification might be cheaper in the price you pay. It is not crap though if to the correct spec.

Squeaky brakes in reverse... but not always!
It is almost certainly the brakes making the noise, so what more can be said. Once the pads are worn a bit more it might go. How many miles done in 4 months?

Skoda 2016 2.0tdi purchased Regen every 30 miles
Tesco Unleaded or Momentum 99 Super Unleaded & diesel comes from Greenergy who produces Fuel for ESSO in much of the UK and delivers it. But not all ESSO Filling stations with Petrol or Diesel are selling the same fuel as Greenergy produce /import. It can be the same, same spec / formulation, but that is not to Say from TESCO filling stations is the same as from the ESSO one. location location location.

the truth about electric cars
So much of the painful stuff announced in this latest budget is not applicable until 2028 / 2029. I suspect there being a General Election called early anyway. The Government & Cabinet Ministers do seem very detached from the day to day real world and how it is for many workers or non workers of whatever earning levels who do not get their days to day living expenses and travel and accommodation, utilities etc paid for because of a job they got elected into for a while.

Which oil?

-

the truth about electric cars
Yesterday i read the article in 'This is money' and mention in the first 3 years the BEV would still be taken to a MOT Test Center to have the mileage checked, and the government / Tax payers would cover the cost. Yesterday almost every comment i read from EV drivers being asked about the cost of EV,s and would the 3 pence matter, were home chargers or business drivers. Discussion now on BBC Scotland Radio. Nobody seems to mention the 20% VAT at Public Chargers and the cost of charging possibly 10 times those home charging at offpeak. PS. Yesterday my trip cost £4 from the home charge & £6.50 public 50 kW charging. It will be a minimum £30 for the return trip if i do 7kW AC charging @ 50 pence a kWh. or £42 if i Rapid / 50 kW charge in South Ayrshire.

Wet belt?
It is simple enough, VW Group modern petrol engines do not have wet belts. Did AI / Meta, Google not say that?

Twil
'They' do just say just anything lots of times. & you are not tied to Main Dealers. There are Independents with Licensed equipment, even ones that are Ex VW Group Master techs. So not just the gear and no idea like many Techs / Fitters. ? Who told who @ Skoda. Was this Customer Services or just some Dealership Employee?

Wet belt?
It does not have a wet belt.

Superb mk2 2.0 tdi - how long does it take to get to temp at this time of year? (November)
@Dann2707 Is it at this time of year where the ambient temp is down near freezing rather than OOP North were it was into the teens maybe. Is it the Coolant not getting to an indicated 90*oC on a 30 minute / 17 mile drive? It should do, maybe in half that even at zero*oC. What is it getting too? What is the oil temperature indicating it gets to?
