  1. @Bac Welcome to the Forum. Nearly 5 years since @akopczyk Signed in to the forum.
  2. When there were Service Books up to about 2010/11 in the UK there was a page after the Service Page for the Body Inspection, and that Was Minor & Major / Annual Servicing. The Inspection was supposedly each 2 years. The Skoda Inspections have never been in the T&C,s of the Corrosion Warranty. Never stated as at any period, annual or biennial or periodic. Skoda UK often says 'Inspections not carried out'. Well if they are required a Full Main Dealer Serviced Vehicle with No Record of Inspections tells Skoda UK who it is not doing 'Inspections; and Reports, and noting Corrosion or poor body repairs. That will include 'Skoda / VW Group Approved used cars.
  3. Over 2 million BEV,s now registered in the UK. Lots sitting new or used and not on the road. There will be growing numbers as there are more First Registered every month. The numbers sitting Sorned or 'In Trade' are kind of important.
  4. Which Brand was the 97 ron minimum and the 99 ron minimum you were using as it is not all the same formulation for 99 ron E5 around the UK and it can have from 0-5% Bio Ethanol. Pence per mile is not meaning much if you are not saying if you use / buy Supermarket E10 95 Ron or the Branded higher cost or the likes of Tesco Momentum 99 or Sainsburys 97 E5 or ESSO, Shell etc at maybe 6 or more pence a litre extra. *** Late October til March and maybe later than March this year is a different formulation of Gasoline sold in the UK. Less Hygroscopic.*** A bottle is a bit less than a gallon of petrol was before the price hikes, so if it gives you more miles extra than 4 litres of petrol purchased at current prices then fair enough. say 8 miles from a litre of 95 ron. 388380a097b04fe693a8c27db8bb4974 (1) (2).pdf 6ca06d648b9541e78fa838fece4a1a23 (1) (2).pdf
  5. The Fabia 130 got 177ps. Easy enough to Repmap a Scala 1.5 TSI (& the DQ200) to that and upgrade the suspension. But void the warranty. Who knows what Skoda might do as a production Scala if VW Group allowed them to.
  6. Were the plugsnever changed at the 40,000 miles / 4 year service schedule? Changing the Coils and plugs was a nice little earner for Halfrauds. How much did that cost? So, Plenty reports of Exhaust Emission Lights / Engines light coming on late March. Coincidence other than Middle East fuel crisis is that Winter Formula E5 & E10 petrol stops being distributed to filling stations late March having been sold since Late October into November. So did you fill up near the time the Engine light first came on? PS. A Skoda main dealer should have on the system if the Recall Action involved your car and if carried out as there was a DVLA Safety Critical recall, and any other Software updates should show if done.
  7. You are not siphoning out so just think how you fill at a petrol station. Long tube like gun into the filler hole. So use a long funnel. ( If you were siphoning, Long Funnel and put the Siphoning tube down that.)
  8. @Ultima You know if the Police will do anything once you speak with them. Station, on phone or via the Community Officer or who ever. & put your concerns in writing to The Police. PS. Since you know what is happening you need a Police report number and to tell your Insurers now of attacks on the vehicle.
  9. Many Fleet or Motability cars are just allowed to be serviced on Variable / Flexible service regimes. Ridiculous with Motability IMO. I see advertised 32 2022/2023 1.4 TSI PHEV Estates on Autotrader from £10,899 High miles, and then quite a few low miles. Even a Cat C. XXXXXXX EDIT, sorry there are mixed in there MHEV,s and non PHEV,s.
  10. If it is the 2019 i looked in your profile to see what Servicing & Maintenance has it had in 7 years. 2 or 3 Brake Fluid changes by now should have been done, were they? Have the brakes ever been serviced?
  11. 1.4 TSI PHEV,s were supposed to be on a Fixed / Annual Oil & Filter change. But then if they were seldom being charged and run on Electric only no harm with the engine as it has Long Life oil and is getting fired up lots and hopefully at the good operating temperate. The DQ400-e DSG Service interval is @ 40,000 miles or sooner, Oil & Filter. Spark plugs replace as well. The air filter needs checked it might never have been looked at and with Full Main Dealer Servicing & FMDSH might not get replaced or looked at for another 2 years. Has the Brake Fluid ever been replaced?
  12. I was assuming some error while the flaps closed.
  13. @Spooky211 What oil did you use 5w 30 FS III ?
  14. What year is your 1.2 TSI? Look at pinned thread at top of the Fabia mk2 on the Oil Filters and wrong sizes.
  15. Closing the air intake so as not bringing in fumes.
  16. Inspection in 364 Days is fine. Just remember that is Servicing Oil & Filter change is a year and counting down.
  17. Is there any option for Oil not 'good'? There seems to be something 'Lost in Translation' from the Software the German Company VW Group bought. Long Life oil is not 'good' and Non long life 'Bad'.
  18. @davegr Sorry to see that you are expecting everyone to just agree with your point of view or that you think they will have the same experience as you with new vehicles in the UK.
  19. Time to lobby the EU & EU Commissioners then and your MP or Transport Minister about what Legislation was introduced on Mandatory features that in some cases are poorly implemented by manufacturers on some models. Good luck with that. Or just buy pre 2024 vehicles if your driving style is nor compatible with 'supposed safety features'. If the vehicle as sold is unsafe contact the DVSA / Dft, The PM and Secretary of State for Transport & your MP.
  20. Current sort of comparison. 350 miles paying 75 pence a kWh @ 3.5 miles a kWh requires 100 kWh = £75. 350 miles in a diesel getting 40 mpg is 8.75 gallons. 185 pence a litre / £8.41 a gallon. = £73.60 Obviously there can be cheaper or more expensive charging and better efficiency just as there can be cheaper or more expensive petrol or diesel and better or worse MPG,s. (Ignoring home or workplace charging as many will not be getting that on trips away. Just maybe for their first battery charge up.)
  21. Pretty much so for a Porsche Panamera
  22. 3.3 miles a kWh is rather poor for the way he drives which is very canny. They are a big heavy lump though.
  23. The thing about Oil Service reminders, that is for Oil & Filter changes. Best you know when stuff needs servicing and maintenance & not just visual inspections. Main Dealer Servicing involves very little. Extras, Pollen Filter, Air Filter, Brake Fluid Change, Spark Plugs replaced, Fuel filter diesels can cost extra & the Air Filter might never even get checked.
  24. Oil at max or below when new oil in is one thing. The issue is as happens with Servicing & Techs, Fitters, Apprentices etc. Cars engine needs running and up to Normal Operating temp so 90*oC indicated, not just left ticking over and warm. Then the Level is checked on the flat after parked 'a few minutes' so 4 or 5. Then any topping up required. So really that is the Road Test after a SERVICE. Not the off a ramp and back to the Customer parking / collection area. VW Servicing that a premium is paid for often has this missed.
