Read the Warranty. That is a Oil & Inspection Service. (Oil Change and look see.) The Warranty requires the Vehicle serviced to the Manufacturers Recommendations, Schedule or Regime. Well it left the factory on Variable / Flexible Oil Service regime. If changed to Fixed Oil & Filter Services that is when the Service or Oil Service or Inspection service shows. 9,400 miles / 372 days. The Fixed Service Regime is not Recommended, scheduled or advised untill some Tech / Fitter changed it to that.

Not 205/50 R17, but 205/45 R 17,s or 215/40 R 17,s are often fitted. The Polo GTI, Seat Cupra & Audi A1 195 Twinchargers all came on 215/40 R 17s, So many threads on ther subject in the past 16 years,. A 215/40 R 17 fits in the spare tyre well.

I use all sorts. Clean glass with white vinegar or meths if I don't drink it and rub with old newspaper then Rain X, fog X clear glass or whatever. Buff with old y fronts or a soft cloth. Treat window rubbers. Or not bother sometimes. Today I did most of that 3 times. Brae nicht the nicht, fair drawing in.

So many new and nearly new and hardly used EV bargains about though. Cars cheap as chips. Cost to Public charge is high or pretty much as fuelling an ICE costs. Home charging is no place near the cost of liquid fuel, but there is a charger to pay for. Unless like me you use a 3 pin plug cable. eg, 350 miles for £8.00 or so while Petrol or Diesel @ £8 a gallon or so might take you 35-60 miles.

I would avoid a 1.4 TDI with a DQ200 DSG. Some advertised are pretty high mileage. Just a case of finding one well maintained. Hopfully someone here has had one and knows if the fuel efficiency is that good.

The reduced Oil Refining facilities in the UK and none in Scotland is not good for Transport Fuel or petrochemicals security in the UK and the reliance on LNG from the US is a risk. The Scottish Dual Fuel Ferry Glen Sannox that has been nothing but trouble & hugely over budget has been running on diesel since July. A major issue that seemingly was not life threatening. We will see..... A valve and sensor issue and lack of shared information from a manufacturer about updates and modifications to the owners / operators/ staff maintaining and sailing the ship.

Light Goods and HGV,s will be fuelling up with DERV for many a year. as will many millions of diesel cars, and petrol cars will be getting fuelled up for a decade or 2. As to BEV,s, plenty people that can offroad park and charge off the road are still not buying or leasing BEV,s. The wish and dream of Politicians or Interested parties is just not happening at the pace they would like.

Price-gouging. Three Monkeys Government / Government Agency. Supposedly the Competitions and Markets Authority found no evidence of that by UK Fuel Retailers. Or 'Widespread Price Gouging in the UK'. Obviously they are incompetent and not fit for purpose. I have never understood why only one Competitions & markets Authority, or as the were called Competitions Commission. @Warrior193 I ever had any showing of Automatic Gearboxes temperatures on the dash with any of the dozens if not hundreds of 2 pedal vehicles i have had since the 1970,s.. Plenty had a Overheating warning including VW Groups with a DSG or Tiptronic. Never had a VW Group vehicles with an TC Automatic.

I suspect AI is no more sure what the Auto Box service regime is from Skoda / VW than the Main Dealers Service desk staff are.
