  1. Probably no pre teen child available there that knows how to use the equipment.
  2. There were OEM Filters for VW Group manufactured by Mahle in England until 2020/ 2021.
  3. The Peaq is going to be even bigger & looks like it might be available before the Epiq. It is a real shame that Skoda could not of got out a BEV Estate before more SUV shaped models.
  4. People fake everything including filter, brake pads, even discs. Not only in China but in the UK / Manchester.
  5. I looked to see you are in Estonia. Where did you buy them from, not some trusted trader? Where they a bargain?
  6. Are Skoda no place yet with a Small EV, £17,000, £20,000, Under £25,000 The Epiq ? I thought the Peaq was going to be something smaller but i totally got that wrong with it being a 7 seater and bigger than a Kodiaq. ,
  7. Private Hire driver, car a necessity and tool of the trade. If £3.00 extra a tank for Tesco Momentuim 99 or Sainsbury 97 ron feels better than 95 ron then 'simply clever' surely to use it. Its an overhead and not a big one.
  8. Yes they can do Servicing without. Oil & Filter and Inspection Servicing. Then there are those with the Licensed Equipment that can do Servicing and do it properly & update the Service Record online. That is more than many Main Dealers Techs, Fitters or Apprentices can do. Some can not be bothered to reset the servicing on the car. Or look at an airfilter before 6 years / 60,000 miles. Or change a Filter each service of a DQ381 DSG.
  9. There were many that never had The Fix because not compulsory and of no benefit to the owners. They might have had issues, but many will not have. Sadly there is something far wrong with your car or the Injectors supplied.
  10. What a pity you had the Fix done but then at least your car is still going which is not tru of many 1.2 TDI,s that were done.
  11. Where ever you fuel will have Filter from the tanks to the Pumps then the pumps have filters. There will be hundreds or thousands of diesel vehicles in your area that fill up there so surely local Mechanics would see many cars with FUEL issues. Did your 1.2TDI get the Emissions Fix carried out, new Software / Engine Management applied?
  12. Lets hope there no haters that thinks throwing a brick at your EV is payback. PS. There is plunge pricing this afternoon of 15% at many of the Main Public Charging providers. I just received a email. 15% off some pretty expensive tariffs.
  13. Shirley, you have the car. Put on the Rear fog light then no need to wonder.
  14. REAL WORLD EVing. Who is it that is going to issue a Parking ticket at chargers that are not in areas covered by Parking Wardens. Parking camera companies can send notices where they have contracts. or there are Private contracted wardens. The are EV drivers just as bad for using charging bays to park yet not charge. There are people out their without the brains cells they were born with, or are just stupid and lazy. PS. Parking Attendants were posting Parking tickets in Angus at cars on chargers that were no longer charging, yet it was faulty chargers often cutting out and leaving the vehicle plugged in and no longer charging. Big clue, RED Light showing Charging Off. That could be someone pressing the emergency button. Quite common because the same Greedy Barsteward local business people would keep hogging chargers back in the days the charging was free. The thing was the Car Parking was free after Covid and the ticket machines were covered and the council had passed free parking. What really pees me off is PHEV,s abandoned for ages on a CCS charger when there are plenty AC,s they could be using. Too lazy to get their cable out and use it. Too stupid to not think they can use the AC Tethered lead.
  15. ^^^ Yes a 1.4TSI Kodiaq Scout.
  16. I was kicking my self for not getting my deal fixed when 6.9 pence a kWh which would then have received the 3.1 pence off when the price came in. I did thankfully at least for for the 5.99 pence a kWh for 12 months. As far as the public charging possible increases time will tell but surely it must being going up. For now there is only one way i get free charging & that is at National Trust For Scotland chargers which is OK if there for a few hours and i can get a charger that is available and not blocked by a ICE vehicle. Only 7 kW charging but then i am paying £13.15 a month for my membership. I will be visiting Culzean Castle more often and staying for longer each visit. Just not buying their very very expensive food or drink when there.
  17. Not just the Aberdeen City Hydrogen bus scheme a failure and the cost is not just for the busses it is the Hydrogen Hubs so far that cost many millions. The Hydrogen scheme for heating homes in Fife a failure. The full costs from the public purse for the various schemes in Scotland will be revealed fully very soon. After all there is an Election in just 3 weeks. Somebody has obviously made money. Many will have.
  18. @Williami33 Wonderful. Do you have any pictures showing how bad it was? Did you have the support of the dealership and did they photograph and submit the Warranty claim. Did it require an inspection by other than the Dealership workshop or warranty manager?
  19. The 1.0 TSI is simple with a Simple locking tool. Plenty have been messed up by people without a clue or the tool. Which is not more than a few quid, unlike that for doing a 1.5 TSI ACT. PS. Euro 6 1.0TSI,s with a GPF are only 9 years old now.
  20. I would expect them outside London to be cheaper as even the National Minimum wage is higher for London than the RoUK. As well as properties and rent. There is nothing special about Servicing an Octavia or Superb that any good garage can not do. Use an Automatic gearbox specialist for servicing a DSG.
  21. Good Independent VW Specialists can have Licensed Equipment / Software & Tools and even better trained technicians than main dealers, often ex Dealer Master techs. So all the gear and more than ideas, Some can even do Warranty Work and Recall actions.
  22. Of coarse they run OK in the EU / Europe / UK and elsewhere on 95 Octane petrol. But even if there is no noticeable economy improvement on higher octane in the UK at National Speed limits there can be even more efficient running and that might just be smoother driving. Good that the choices are there to buy what ever it is you want. So lets stick to 1.5 TSI,s that as the WLTP came in VW messed with to get WLTP & RDE2 certification. They messed withe the Mapping / Engine management. They built in a lack of torque with some. Eventually a DVLA Safety Critical Racall was started. This was about the Kangerooing. Not only Manuals but more noticeable than a DSG. But both might have got the 'Software upgrade'. Some were not deemed to need it. Then that should have been that. Fault cars, cars with issues fixed. Well some even later, are just not quite right and if 97 or 99 ron makes them feel better then that is that, if not then know. Then there are spark plugs, best not leave them too long unchecked with a 1.5 TSI ACT.
  23. Try TIMPSON,s Shoe repairers & key cutters. 3 in the Bristol area. They can code keys. Well some can.
  24. VW Group do not say 1 Litre in 1,200 miles is normal. It is 'may use as much as' That is depending on Conditions. & for every engine from 44kw up petrol or diesel 3,4,5,6,8,10 or 12 cylinders and they have put that for decade,s. It is not actually 'Within tolerances', some oil use here is more than a 2 stroke might use. Lemon of an engine.
  25. At least Tesco showed testing results. 14 years ago. 388380a097b04fe693a8c27db8bb4974 (1).pdf 6ca06d648b9541e78fa838fece4a1a23 (1).pdf
