1.5tsi ACT cambelt change interval revision?
Wish I’d had those screen grabs a few months ago, they’d have supported my case against Skoda UK via the Motor Ombudsman when my Skoda retailer changed my cambelt at 5 years old in July 2023, only a few weeks after that bulletin was released telling them to cancel bookings!

1.5tsi ACT cambelt change interval revision?
Not sure where the 10 years has come from. Whilst in typical Skoda UK fashion there is plenty of confusion out there, the 5 year blanket interval has increased to 15 years, no mileage limit.

Routing rear dashcam cable V2
Another reason to try and avoid using the roof lining is the DAB receiver is up there somewhere. Dash cam wiring routed close to the receiver has been known to disrupt the signal.

Routing rear dashcam cable V2
No tips I’m afraid, other than to find a better garage. I had a rear reverse camera fitted and the wiring was routed under the plastic sills. I’d sooner figure out how to lift the sills than drop the roof liner…

PCP settlement
That’s not my reply… The OP was clear in their question, but hasn’t provided enough information for any of us to provide the correct answer. Nevertheless, it’s clear to me that those claiming to have ‘cancelled’ their agreements meant to write ‘settled’, ultimately confirming to the OP that they were able to keep the incentives after clearing the finance in full. Far from confusing.

PCP settlement
That’s a lot of words when all that was required was to simply replace the word ‘cancel’ with ‘settle’.

Routing rear dashcam cable
We used to be in Haxby too (Forestgate), but moved to Strensall 20 years ago. We’re now a little a further out but very much love York. Small world 👍

Routing rear dashcam cable
The SD card slots were on the early Kodiaq’s only, their function has largely become redundant on the later models with the car updating itself and wireless technology for mobile phones meaning there’s no longer a need to store your music on an SD card. The same applies to the DVD slot that was also there on early models.

Brake pads replaced after 50k - reasonable distance ?
Just look through the wheels, a visual inspection is all that’s needed. When the braking material gets within a couple of millimetres of the backing pad then it’s time to think about replacing them…

Yellowish foggy LED headlights?
It is a known issue, a few owners have had them replaced under warranty. Strangely one of mine is also suffering, it’s like a very thin layer of dust inside the lens. It looks very similar to the fallout from the plastic dashboard materials that can contaminate the inside of the windscreen.

Routing rear dashcam cable
There have been plenty of owners who’ve routed the feed wire up through the headlining and regretted it. The DAB antenna is close by and the electrical interference from the dash cam wire (even worse if excess wire is coiled up), can interfere with the DAB signal. Most professional installations route the wire down through the plastic sills and carpet instead. Good luck!

Changing Air Filters
The cabin / pollen filter looks quite clean. It’s a charcoal filter which makes it look dirty even though it may not be.

Eco (cruising) - how does that really work ?
There is an Eco mode for the smaller petrol engines which deactivates a cylinder. There is a selectable Eco mode on those models with ‘mode selection’ that adjusts throttle response amongst other things. The DSG gearbox has an Eco mode that enables coasting. All utilise various on-dash symbols. The OP has a diesel, so that rules out the first option. The OP is also unaware of the ability to select Eco manually via the mode select feature, and as it resets after each ignition cycle anyway it is fair to assume the vehicle in in ‘Normal’ mode. The OP has confirmed they have DSG, which through the process of elimination suggests what they’re seeing is the gearbox coasting mode. So, to answer the original question ‘can it be made to do it more often’ then the answer is yes and no 🤭 Yes, if Eco mode is manually selected at the beginning of each journey via the ‘mode selection’ feature, or no, if left in Normal mode…

Bulb list
Something isn’t adding up. You mentioned you have the word ‘Halogen’ written around the outer rim of the dipped headlight projector lens? You do not have the height adjustment control next to the headlight switch. These two scenarios cannot be together. One is incorrect. A few of us have asked, what trim is your Superb?
-
Bulb list
By ‘ALS’ are you referring to Auto Levelling System? If so then yes, the self levelling dipped headlights are xenon. If your headlights are halogen, then they won’t be self levelling and will have the ability to manually adjust their height using the knob next to the headlight switch. On xenon equipped Superb’s this knob is omitted and blanked off. It could also be that the car left the factory with xenon headlights (standard on the Elegance and L&K) and that they needed replacing at some point. Replacement xenon headlights are expensive and as such it has been known for owners to replace them with cheaper and more readily available halogen headlights. Also worth noting is that even on Superb’s without xenon headlights, the chrome headlight washer caps are present, which sometimes confuse people into thinking the washer jets are present and operational when they’re not.

Kodiaq sat nav
I admire your persistence, I gave up on the inbuilt sat nav a good few years ago. The app called Waze displayed on the headunit using Android Auto or Apple CarPlay works so much better for me. I just start typing the street name and nine times out of ten it’s the right one.

2021 Kodiaq RS - Towbar
The vRS does have a different set-up in the area of the towbar. As linni mentioned, here are some images of the sound actuator… Isn’t the battery in the boot on the vRS?

Buy nearly new Mk 1 or wait for new order book?
It’s a tough one. I am more than happy with the available power, but then when towing I drive fairly sedately. I’d imagine if you prefer to get a hurry on then you might find it underpowered, but then some find the 1.4 / 1.5 TSI’s inadequate when not towing, whereas I think they’re quite sprightly.

Diesel or Petrol
My 1.4 TSI Kodiaq tows our 1.5 ton caravan with ease. Sure, the extra torque of a diesel would no doubt improve things, but the little petrol engine is more than adequate.
