Octavia iv real elec range
The 1941 update is to the infotainment system only, so will have no effect on the powertrain. More likely is the colder wetter weather affecting the power drain (wipers, heater, etc.) and hence the range.

Timing belt change
SKoda UK have recently fallen into line with the rest of the VAG world and removed the 5 year "suggestion". There are plenty of threads on here giving the updated schedule.

I've used the CR2032 in all 4 fobs from my 2015 and 2016 Octavia 3's with no problems.

VCDS: C10B2 F2 - Module for High Beam Assistant - Function Restricted due to Mirror Dimming Over-Temp
Looking at the temperatures in the fault code details it shows 72 and 74C which suggests the module is running hotter than expected. Has this just started happening, is the ambient temperature unusually warm?

KESSY FOB Failure Post Battery Replacement
I've seen similar problems with CR2025 batteries, my theory is battery internal resistance differences (causing voltage drop under load) as they measured the same voltage down to the 1mV level on my 3 1/2 digit DMM on no load. I always uses CR2032 batteries now (a bit of a tight fit) and have had no repeat problems.

VCDS: C10B2 F2 - Module for High Beam Assistant - Function Restricted due to Mirror Dimming Over-Temp
It's intermittent and only happened once - clear the fault and see if it ever comes back or whether it was just the module having a hissy fit.

Fuel gauge not working - Error B103E1B
Sender mechanically working, gauge working - what's left? Wiring and sender electrical side. Check the sender resistance changes when you move the float, if that's OK then it's time to check the wiring between the gauge and the instruments.

Setting Timezone & Daylight Savings Time
GPS is sufficient - but VAG have a long history of getting clock setting wrong, e.g. on the B7 Audi A4 even if you have sat nav fitted it ignored the GPS time when setting the time on the instruments and even offered the option to set the time on the sat nav from the (wrong time) on the instruments!

the truth about electric cars
... except on the van, my brothers 1970 Mini van still had the sliding windows (yes the upgrade from a van to a Clubman Estate 2 years later was very welcome!).

the truth about electric cars
My brothers 1972 Mini Clubman estate had the board fitted in production, as did my 1983 Mini 1000 saloon.

Setting Timezone & Daylight Savings Time
On your previous Mk3 Octavia there was a simple VCDS/OBDeleven coding change to enable auto DST change - I've done it on both my Mk3 Octavias.

New car challenge
Toyota Aygo mark 2? Simple to drive and maintain and reliable.

Climate control etc
Older cars used fixed vane compressors and a clutch - so the compressor was either off or fully on - but for several years cars have used variable vane compressors which only use as much energy as needed. In my book that's a significant move on in technology, and fuel saving.

Infotainment Problems Now Sorted?

Best Winter Tyres
Low Rolling Resistance is achieved by a harder compound which has less grip. Personally I studiously avoid any tyre labelled as "eco" because I'd rather have grip and protect my life and property.

keep buying the wrong main unit for octavia mk 3 columbus head unit
The key word there is option, that's the price DIFFERENCE between the base spec radio and the Columbus upgrade not the full price of the Columbus - so many people make this mistake.

VCDS challenges
Look at the serial number on the cable, maybe even post it here (Ross-Tech will ask you to do that).

2011 model Skoda Laura
AFAIK Skoda don't publish the speed of the Diagnostic CAN bus, you'll have to use the trial and error method.
