Any sign of the MIB2 Amundsen 2024 map update yet? Usually it appears around November.

11L/100km equates to 25mpg UK. The only times I've got fuel consumption that bad in a car was in either a 4.2L V8 RS4 or a 1.8T S3 that had been hugely over-boosted (never in an Octavia not even when in London traffic), so if that's a genuine figure then given your temperatures in the low to mid 20's Celsius it doesn't look right. Either you have a heavy right foot or maybe something like a binding brake or other mechanical problem.

The spec of Octavia IV models has changed regularly, often the reason given is component shortages (also the reason given for some VERY long delivery delays).

So successful that the VED revenue dropped so much (as manufacturers found ways to get meaningless in the real world low CO2 test results and purchasers followed) they had to reverse it!

... but you knew those changes were irrelevant because the fault existed before them - something you didn't mention until a later post I'm out.

Try looking at all your rear bulbs too, when I looked at the Leuchte channels on my Octavia it looked like there could be an error which reports a faulty rear bulb (can't remember which one) as a front left sidelight.

Then mentioning those changes was irrelevant and not helpful - you should simply have mentioned that the problem existed beforehand.

Then it's best to carry on this discussion in that original thread, since something you did there has caused the problem so the context is VERY importaant.

My previous 2008 Citroen C1 had EU4 109g/km emissions and cost £20 per year, its replacement was a 2020 Toyota Aygo (badge engineered version of the same car) had EU6.2 99g/km emissions but cost £150 per year. Oh and my previous 2015 1.4TSI Octavia had 129g/km emissions but only cost £30 per year, so for a period I had a car with lower emissions having Road Tax that was 5 times as much!!! The difference? - Road Tax changes by politicians in the years between 2008 and 2020.

What happened to make the menu item disappear? Any coding/adaptation changes to 5F, any fault codes showing in 5F when scanned with e.g. VCDS or OBDeeven?

The sidelight bulbs in my Octavia with Bi-Xenon headlights are W5W halogens.

SInce there is no iV version of the Octavia 3 it seems you have posted in the wrong forum? As Rooted asks do you maybe have a Superb not an Octavia?

VAG have made changes post Dieselgate to default to the settings used when the WLTP figures were measured. You would be best posting in the Octavia 4 forum, as other owners may have found some tweaks that work?

The key phrase there is IMO, there are multiple opinions all of which are right for the individual.

I've ordered from Kopacek/SuperSkoda several times both before and after Brexit, and never had any problems. Before Brexit they would accept and deliver orders of anything on their website, but post-Brexit they have a policy of only delivering items of a size that Royal Mail will accept due to "paperwork issues" - and they have refused an order I attempted to place for the bonnet struts for an Octavia 3. So as I understand it your order for a rear diffuser should never have been accepted.
