I suspect your idea about the N0x sensor is correct as that was exactly what was happening when mine went. It wasn't cheap!!
  2. Been there, and got the bobble hat!
  3. Which is a load and therefore will affect the reading,
  4. Which isn't what we asked for. What we need is the resting voltage with nothing connected after atleast 3 hours.
  5. Low battery levels causes all sorts of funny "problems". Take a resting voltage reading.
  6. Alan555, You need to find a better garage!! If you stated where your location is a member here might be able to suggest somewhere.

How much does WBAC offer you?
  8. You didn't post them in this thread though, so how were we to find them?
  9. If all of those are not working I would be looking at where the wires bridge between the body and boot. I wouldn't mind betting that they have broken. Adopt the KISS principle and look at the simplist thing first.
  10. Top bulb is the DRL, bottom one the fog light.
  11. The same speedo and rev counter unit was fitted to several VAG models, not just the Yeti.
  12. Has anyone checked what fault codes are being produced? This could be something as simple as a faulty reductor ring on one wheel.
  13. Well that certainly isn't my experience of the Niro Self Charging Hybrid. My charge figure can easily reach 100% on long downhill sections, and the braking effect is very useful, and I am continuously now getting +60mpg.
  14. Simple answer, no. Full answer, no. Changing the oil is cheaper than a new engine.
  15. I suggest you try spending a couple of nights in one of those Go-Pods before you buy one. They are VERY small.
  16. Had both. Fixed: You bang your shins if you aren't careful. Always available. Convenient. Removeable: Tidier. You don't walk into it. Need to get on your knees to fit it. Quite heavy. Have been known to get jammed.
  17. When we started to look to replace our Yeti nearly 18 months ago we found there was very little choice in our price range and requirements. We needed a petrol following my retirement but it had to be able to tow a 1100 kg caravan and still have a slightly higher seating area. Choice eventually came down to the Hyundai Ioniq, the Kia Niro HEV or a Volvo. The Hyundai would only just fit with the towing requirement, the Volvo was just too damned expensive, so we bought the Niro and are very pleased with it.
  18. My garage left their Tapley Meter in the footwell of my last Yeti when I took it in for it's MOT. They were VERY grateful when I took it back.
  19. There was no light in mine
  20. Corris is on hold due to Covid, unfortunately, so I haven't been over for months. Hopefully we can restart soon.
  21. A member on the other Yeti site highly recommends the Gates stuff.
  22. When I had mine done the dealer was cheaper than the local garage!
  23. Which means that to get to the EGR valve some of the transmission system has to be removed, which is why it is so expensive.
  24. And they came as 2 and 4 wheel drive, and changing the EGR is different on them. The 4WD is MUCH more complicated, which is why we need to know.
  25. Before we can tell you whether the price is fair we need to know what model and engine you have. Certainly for a 4x4 it is an expensive thing to change.
