  1. Some people don't understand the use we make of our cars, Jerry. That sentence is why I thought the endoscope might be useful.
  2. Jerry, borrow an endoscope and see if that will help.
  3. Unless it was a LOTUS!!
  4. You are correct Tony, the Chinese lengthened model had the spare mounted on a swing-away mount, however due to European (and UK) regulations that would not be allowed as when turned outwards it obscured the lights on one side. It is why LR had to mount the rear lights in the bumpers of the early Disco and Freelander.
  5. Well said, Paul.
  6. I wonder if the OP has notified his insurance company of those alterations/additions?
  7. As alaways. I've always got a couple of various sizes in the garage, all picked up from mine. Mind you I did refuse the huge thing they use of calcium deficiency in cows!
  8. Try you local vet for some used ones.
  9. I hope the person that serviced the Haldex unit drained the oil out of the correct unit! We've seen that mistake before.
  10. 1.2 doesn't need the water pump doing as the belt doesn't drive it, as far as i understand.
  11. That isn't stated by Skoda. It is time only.
  12. I must be getting confused about which Amundsen is which, then. I know that on my 2015 model with an SD card I could just download the new maps.
  13. Time traveller? If you've got the SD card equipped unit you don't need to buy a newer card, you just download the newer maps onto the old card.
  14. He does seem to make a habit of it!
  15. Jerry, There is a thread over on the other Yeti Forum about replacing that exact part.might be worth looking at it.
  16. A quick search on here would have shown you that this is caused by a failure of the GPS aerial on the roof of the car, generally due to water ingress into the aerial base unit. If drying it out doesn't work then the only cure is a new aerial.
  17. Having seen the actual Yeti with the 'copter on top I can tell you that the suspension on the car had been modified with solid links to stop it dropping on the springs. There was no roll cage inside.
  18. Yes, which is why I put a laughing emoji
  19. Your totally incorrect comment that trailer tyre pressures are mentioned. As has been stated the second figure is for the REAR tyres.
  20. And pigs might fly!!
  21. That is definitely NOT a standard Yeri sound! The previous owner has obviously added something to cause that.
  22. If it is a 140bhp model then it MUST be a 4x4. All 140, 150 and 170 models were 4x4's. Only the 110bhp was available as either a 2 wheel drive or a 4 wheel drive.
  23. Don't think I can be much help, I'm afraid. My set up was a Motorsport UK rally safety unit that used to sit on the top of the dash, with two wires direct to the battery through the passenger door and a mag mount aerial with the lead through the back passenger door.
  24. Those prices are ridiculous! Even Halfords would be cheaper, and they'll fit it too, however I'd go to one of the local tyre and battery places and get them to do it. And I would agree with Trevor M, Tayna Batteries are an excellent company and sell a good range of batteries. I've bought a few from them
  25. The explanation in the Handbook about the Off Road Button is probably the best written section. Well worth reading.
