  1. Replaced the steering wheel with a Sportline version. Dressed it up with paddle shifter extensions (AliExpress) and a Superb nameplate (Kopacek). Old Wheel: 3VO 419 091 S CWE New Wheel: 565 419 091 E BGW
  2. I put a start-stop memory module - brilliant as it keeps the start stop switched off, or on, depending on how u left it, and u still have the option to use it at ur command. No errors. No warnings. No tricking. Beats permanently disabling it by coding it out.
  3. The one I have that has a separate switch to turn the charger on/off, including the light illumination.
  4. I'm pretty sure with mine, the Since Refueling resets each time I open & close the fuel flap. Maybe it's also knows when the fuel is filled to the top, and then resets it. Don't know. But u can also reset the Since Start & Long-Term fuel data in the Instrument Cluster settings menu.
  5. Sorry, unfortunately I don't know which hardware revisions didn't have wireless AA, and which revisions onwards started having it. Correct, the SW version alone may not fix it for u. It's the HW version that u need to look for. As @Patent said - take it back to them saying wireless AA no longer works for u. Ask them for the part number of the unit they removed, including it's HW and SW version - so u can compare.
  6. MIB 2.5 and MIB3 units r vastly different hardware & software wise. An MIB2.5 will not work a mk3.5 (facelift) Superb, or on anything that came with an MIB3 unit originally. I haven't heard of anyone retrofitting an MIB3 unit into a previous gen car, but it would involve changing a whole bunch of other control modules, including the gateway. With regards to ur wireless Android Auto not working - the initial MIB3 units did not have wireless AA - they only did wireless CarPlay, and wired AA. It was only later that they added the hardware for it, with the newer units. So if they swapped ur MIB3 unit with one of those older versions, then it would explain why u don't have wireless AA anymore. Does Android Auto still work when u connect via the cable?
  7. Overkill - no, when u consider the Kodiaq RS TDi, which was Bi-turbo, was producing 240 Hp, 500 Nm. The Kodiaq RS TSi only gets the DQ381 gearbox.
  8. Don't think so. Would most likely require a different clockspring part. None of the Skoda models thus far have capacitive sensors in the steering wheel, so not sure if the brains r there to understand it, or if it can b coded in. Maybe the mk4 Octavia, and mk3.5 Superb have it, with this new steering wheel, but I don't know.
  9. No, it's not the same paddles across the VAG group. There r different ones, mixed n matched across different models
  10. I've had these for 2 yrs plus. They're solid/strong and fun & easy to use. AU $15.77 21%OFF | Aluminum alloy steering wheel DSG paddle shifters for Skoda Octavia Rs 2018 Paddle Gearbox Car Accessories Covers https://a.aliexpress.com/_mrJi0jU
  11. On the Maxton UK website, the cost is £101.95. By the time u add shipping and convert to AUD it becomes a lot of $$$$ https://www.maxtondesign.co.uk/skoda-superb-mk3-prefacelift/spoiler-cap-skoda-superb-iii
  12. Indeed, which is why I'm putting the extensions on it. Much easier to use then, and fun.
  13. Currently yes. But if u were driving straight on a highway/freeway - even with ur hands on the wheel, the steering rack will get no input if u don't tweak it, hence the lane assist will instruct u to take over after 12 secs. But with the other version, it will know ur hands r on the wheel, without having to tweak the wheel.
  14. Flattened Gandalf's steering wheel today. Got the Sportline steering wheel for a price I couldn't resist. Original wheel - 3VO 419 091 S CWE Sportline wheel - 565 419 091 E BGW Swapping out the wheel was quick and easy. I did not disconnect the car battery. With the car running, popped out one side of the airbag clip, turned the wheel over, popped out the other side. Left the airbag module in the wheel, straightened the steering wheel, turned off the car and left it for 20 mins to "sleep". Then unclip the connectors, remove bolt with M12, to remove the wheel. Put Sportline wheel in place and tighten bolt, taking care to put it in the exact same spot/alignment. Plug in the connectors. Push airbag module into place. Done. I do miss the DSG paddle shifter extensions though on the Sportline wheel, so I've got a new set on the way, similar to the one I had.
  15. ah yes, that way. would certainly love that as it bugs me when the car tells me to put my hands on the wheel when i've been holding it the whole time, but going only straight! i heard the current Passat B8 has that "i know ur holding the wheel" feature.
  16. thankfully these aren't, unlike the VW cousins - theses new ones r still proper buttons. a big relieve as i haven't heard off anyone praising capacitive touch style buttons.
  17. Umm....read the 2nd post above..... But yes, loving it still.
  18. This cost me $110 AUD. Maxton would've cost me $400 plus. Kopacek one would've cost me about $400. Original Sportline one would've cost me about $600. It was a gamble I took and I was surprisingly pleased.
  19. The bolt being referred to. Easy to access and do. Just make sure u have a breaker bar to get it loose, and u torque it back up to 140 Nm.
  20. I have those same tyre sensors, same TPMS module. They should come pre-paired to the module. If not, as @langers2k mentioned, then u need a specialist TPMS diagnostic tool to program the sensors. These aren't cheap, or readily available. Also, this type of TPMS module can only b paired/programmed with 4 sensors max. So u can't have a 5th wheel spare sensor, or another set of 4x sensors for ur winter tyres n expect them to show. Also, the tyre pressures won't b read until the sensor has been rotating inside the tyre for a few meters at a minimum. This is to determine each sensor's position relative to the module. The first time I installed mine, I drove a good 100m or so before the tyre pressures were shown on screen. Part of the initial learning/calibration I'd say. After that, it only needs a few meters of travel to see pressures.
  21. I too recently fitted a boot lid spoiler. Got it from AliExpress. Happy with the finish, fit & quality, given it costs a whole lot less.
  22. No, the spacers r not required. The 245 tyres do not rub anywhere. But if u put too wide a spacer with 245 tyres, it will rub on the outside, fender. I put the spacers for aesthetics.
  23. Orange/Brown = CANBUS Low Orange/Grey = CANBUS High
  24. I don't know wat the connections should look like when connected to the BCM module as I tapped into the CANBUS high & low at the blind spot module (master) inside the rear bumper. I've got the same part numbers as u, from AliExpress.
  25. @knorac- that error looks like it's not connected properly to the CANBUS. Does the module have the parameter file loaded in it? Also, where have u sourced the permanent 12v power source for the TPMS module from?
