  1. I've seen a lot of people towing trailers that look like this when the indicators are on 😂
  2. Mine started doing this when it was 2 years old. As you say only when cold and damp. I never got to the bottom of the problem or bothered to fix it as it was so intermittent.
  3. I had similar with mine. When it went to the dealers they said it needs a new fob which was around 400 quid. I found a chap in Wales who did it for under 50 quid. If you need details let me know. My car was only 4 years old.

  7. Seems weird but I had a set of these in my daughters fiat 500 that threw up errors. Ebay cheap crap.
  8. These are not the standard bulbs. Any led lamps need coding in. Mine were showing an intermittent fault until coded.
  9. Mine always comes up with that when the tank is low and on the informant as a fault. Same thing for washer fluid etc.
  10. Does it stop your screen going mental. My screen when it's cold does all sorts of **** changes radio stations dials people from my contacts. Nightmare.
  11. Totally agree I love the octavia. I've had four since 2005 all vrs and one fabia vrs petrol which was fun but unreliable.
  12. OK lovely. I have vcds. Does it all come with instructions.
  13. Hi. This is my build and software on a mib2 octavia 2016. What is involved if I want to update to the new menu system and how much would a DIY job be.
  14. I seem to remember you hold the key near the start stop button then press it. Mine did the same but my kessy car key was faulty full stop. I got a quote from the main dealer 380 to replace and recode but managed to find a reliable chap to repair it for 40 quid.
  15. I have just had my key repaired postal service and I can't recommend this guy enough. My kessy key stopped working so I took it to the main dealer after trying batteries. They said it needed replacing at a cost of 380 quid. I sent it special delivery on Monday to this chap in Wales and 40 quid later and returned today Thursday all working. A decent honest bloke. Give him a go.. I sent a what's app message and he replied straight away. His name is RAF SABIR 07742504123.Hes an ex electronics repair guy and knows his stuff.
  16. I just has a quote for a replacement kessy key £380. Scandalous.
  17. My battery lasted just over 3 years and I replaced it myself for a bosch which was just over 100 quid for my diesel vrs. 300 rubs is a bit steep. It's a 20 minute job even with the coding. The bosch is a far better battery and turns over far quicker than it ever did from new.
  18. I booked mine in today with the main dealer. Diesel vrs water pump and cambelt 599. I didn't think that was too bad as I remember paying 700 quid for a mk1 vrs for the same several years ago. One quote for the same job was over 1k.
  19. Mine did similar with a 4 year old battery so I replaced it. It's like night and day when turning over now. Also the start stop kicks in all the time now.
  20. I too had a dtuk box which when my car was under 10k miles was a pain in the bum and kept going into limp mode. I tried several programs and still had loads of issues. I decided to give it another go when the car was at 20k and have never had a problem with it and have used a number of programs. I can't work it out but it's still on at 45k and the car is running fine with that and a pedal box.
  21. Yep from superskoda and no additional tax or duty paid.
  22. They are great. I have the exact same ones which I bought 3 weeks ago. Easy to fit with a screwdriver under 5 minutes in total both sides. Delivered in 2 weeks.
  23. They ship to the UK. I had a delivery 2 days ago from them.
  24. I would use some switch cleaner it's not abrasive and won't do any harm. I have used it on loads of switches with great success https://www.screwfix.com/p/wd-40-specialist-contact-cleaner-400ml/92716?tc=YA5&ds_kid=92700046638549236&ds_rl=1243318&ds_rl=1241687&ds_rl=1245250&ds_rl=1245250&gclid=Cj0KCQjw-LOEBhDCARIsABrC0TnbvWf20x3nNSk9OJIk5hgcyu7EwC6DdC4fZkKukGydfuULPLOSfWgaAlkuEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
  25. Funny enough I placed an order yesterday and was wondering on time. Seems a long while. I had Ali express items come in a week so I can't see pandemic making that much difference
