  1. Unblock your scuttle drains and clear all the debris out of the scuttle, you've been parking under trees I deduce.
  2. Garages hate replacing the bushes because you have to cut them up to get them out and pressing the new ones in is a pain, hence replacing the entire wishbone with a bush already pre- fitted is the favoured option.
  3. Ok, I stand corrected, must be for the power feed I guess.
  4. I believe the main wiring loom is probably the same for both types, you just need a pair of mirrors and the switchgear together with the loom extensions from the A pillar multiplugs which you'll need to pull through the rubber boot on each side. The mirrors do not connect to the electric window motors they are separate because they aren't electronic, they're purely electro-mechanical.
  5. It's worth fitting NGK Iridium plugs if you're keeping the car since plug wear kills coil packs and these engines eat plugs.
  6. Are you serious, it's done 230k, everything will be totally worn out, you can buy another one with half the mileage for a few hundred quid.
  7. I dare say if he pops back to the garage that did the work they'll be able to rifle through the box of knackered spark plugs and lambda probes and give it back if he asks nicely
  8. It's going to be cheaper to just buy another old Fabia with less miles, there are plenty about, I only paid £400 for my 2.0 on ebay, it cost me £350 to get the clutch done in January.
  9. No, this ain't the 1980's, every aspect of an engines performance is under the strict control of the ECU, you need to get it remapped.
  10. ANY PD130 turbo will fit multi-poster boy! Stop spamming and wait for us to get in from work and answer you.
  11. Any PD130 turbo will fit and work just fine, it doesn't have to be for a BLT.
  12. That looks like SMF, it's a big lump of cast Iron, DMF is smaller and a lot lighter and much more expensive.
  13. Low fluid makes squelchy noises, it doesn't just stop working and since there's no oil level sensor it wouldn't put the lamp on. You're barking up the wrong tree.
  14. Your radio has blown up by the sound of it.
  15. The sensors won't see the towball, you're overthinking this dramatically, they will see the trailer or the plastic shed if that's what you'll be dragging though.
  16. You have an air leak, probably the vacuum pipe to the brake servo, check all the pipe joints for splits wherever they're shrunk onto a hose barb. You definitely have a front wheel speed sensor issue, often the reluctor ring is damaged during incorrect front wheel bearing fitment rather than the sensor itself.
  17. I had it when someone had hit mine up the back, turned out that the back panel was distorted so I beat it with a big hammer and a wooden block until it would latch properly.
  18. If you shorted one of the lights then a fuse would definitely have blown, you just haven't found it yet, keep looking.
  19. I'd check the battery first, low battery voltage will shut the PAS system down and put that light on.
  20. I know, something smells fishy to me.
  21. Yes you should remove both driveshafts, hubnut is 36mm bi-hex. You'll have trouble getting the car high enough to get the box out so leave it under the car pushed to one side while you replace the clutch, I assume you have a support beam for the engine.
  22. No, it can't be done for less than the cost of a takeaway meal. Seriously, the use of the car is far more valuable than its sale price, £20 won't get you far in Ubers.
