Xenon headlamps help!
Ignore the safety police, buy a ballast and a bulb and swap them back for the MOT. It isn't illegal to have Xenon headlamps, lots of cars have them.

A Fabia with a GT Bumper
It's the torque, torque is cheap when you have a 2.0. It's night and day compared to the 1.4 and it pulls cleanly to 125 mph, the 1.4 couldn't get close.

A Fabia with a GT Bumper
Sorry girls, having owned both I can report the 2.0 is much quicker but is a little thirstier, I don't mind spending a couple more quid on petrol though and it is just so RELIABLE, I have had nothing at all go wrong with the drive train in six years.

Multiple warning lights
That doesn't mean there isn't a wiring fault though.

Multiple warning lights
Sounds like the alternator may not be charging properly, get it tested.

What does this switch/button do?
It is but it's an unnecessarily fine line if you're going to accede to every vexatious complainant, particularly if they've decided to take offence long after the thread has moved on with no escalation. Misunderstandings do genuinely happen.

What does this switch/button do?
No-one us being rude to anyone, there is just good-natured banter, surely even you can tell the difference?

Interesting HU/Radio Mystery Problem?
A lot quicker than 45 mins outside rush hour.

A Fabia with a GT Bumper
Now that I remember, I had a 1.4 16V back then when I joined eleven and a half years ago. I'd been on the VW forums prior to here with a rare manual Sharan VR6 (a 135 mph lorry) and an even rarer Passat GT 16V estate before that (Disneyland to Calais in 2 hours dead). I like obscure models but tend not to put makeup on them.

fault code p0130
A leaking exhaust would certainly explain your symptoms. I wouldn't bother getting under it, take it straight to a fast fit place and let them get it up in the air and show you.
-
A Fabia with a GT Bumper
You girlies will insist on using each others first names when sharing makeup tips so I'm afraid I don't know who you mean, now that I look again I see the reference to a 'slayer' which I'm guessing means a 2.0 MPI to you?
-
A Fabia with a GT Bumper
You correctly pointed out that it's not standard on the PD100, as the only live member with a 2.0 MPI I felt it incumbent upon me to correct the record using experience rather than guesswork, it's how engineering is generally done in the real world. Mine does have the twin tailpipe backbox but they're bent and slash cut to point at the ground and hidden behind the bumper.

Mine didn't.

1.9tdi 2001 struggles to hold 70mph on slightest hill
PD100 has a VNT, this is why they'll remap to 135 BHP. MAF is not the dominant input on a PD, it's more for fine tuning and emissions, I'd be looking for a vacuum leak preventing the actuator from giving full boost.
-

I think you could just unplug the MAF and see if performance improves.

Fault codes
Just swap out the crank sensor and ignore these thread spamming postcount monkeys...

Injector Problems
It certainly is, I've probably driven more than a quarter of a million miles since 2014, I'm always staggered how little some people drive, I guess if you live in a big city you don't drive much.

It's like a red rag to a bull... ...lol
-
Monte carlo black bits
Yes, smother it in black lipstick if you want a goth pig, alternatively drive it some first and fix any problems before worrying about tarting it up when the weather gets better. If you really can't wait, go and buy a load of tacky crap to slap all over it for Christmas

What does this switch/button do?
Maybe it was a cost option, I don't know or even care, I've never used it.
-
What does this switch/button do?
May I remind you that you said something completely illogical about a locked glove box. If somebody tells you something stupid you don't HAVE to repeat it to us.
-
What does this switch/button do?
The 1990's called to remind you that thieves used to steal car stereos and alloy wheels. Nowadays notsomuch.
-
What does this switch/button do?
But how would the thieves know it was locked unless they'd already broken into the car? I don't understand where this 'advice' is coming from unless it's from the fecund imagination of a complete fantasist. The 'secret' document compartment is for the folder containing all the manufacturers manuals and other books which is what's hidden in mine.

Circumlocution much?

What does this switch/button do?
Yeah, drivers side doesn't work any more and last time I put it on for a passenger my smartarse youngest daughter complained it felt like she'd wet herself.
