  1. I see mods have done some cleaning since I saw this before on the new content feed… can I offer a tip? Next time there’s a huge data dump coming that needs to be edited a lot - Do it up as a word doc so you can take your time and put it all together and change as needed. Then copy paste or just upload it as an attachment
  2. So what did you get instead? BTW, you’ll be back in a couple of years 😂
  3. Hi, Does the car do long journeys or lots of short ones? Holding the revs hi like that is (in my experience) the exp trying to run dog regents and failing. Or… If it’s only at start up for a few minutes and then drops down it could be the ac system trying to build pressure and failing if it has had a refrigerant gas leak.
  4. What browser are you using? I use chrome on my iPhone (work) and android (personal) phones
  5. Have a look in the market place, Anyone who is thinking about it will have to put an ad there as non-freedom member selling or advertising is frowned upon and swatted quickly by the mod team.
  6. Morning, If viewing on mobile - Tap on your profile pic, to bring up the account menu, then tap on “my attachments”. Select the files you want to delete, then tap on the Bin icon. It’s probably very similar on a pc/laptop browser, but I can log into Brisky on my work laptop due to security restrictions by our IT dept..
  7. Hi there 👋 I’m sure Colin and the (very small) team will be glad to hear you like the site 🙃 Hope you’re getting on well with your recent purchase?
  8. FS is visible on the carrier in first pic, so they are an FSiii calibre and if you measured the diameter of your old disc at 276mm that’s what you want - Discs and pads for 276mm FSiii calipers
  9. Evening, Welcome to the forum! What are you thinking about buying? No matter what it is you’ll find answer to any questions you might have and some honest reviews and owner experience 👍🏻
  10. Okay, should be long enough, but the rpm may be too low. the DPF system needs a sustained run over 40mph and rpm between 2000 - 2500rpm. In my mk2 that means sitting about 55-60mph in 4th gear (5speed manual, your gearing may vary), and for about 15-20mins to complete the regen process
  11. That means the dpf isn’t getting to regen frequently enough. What kind of driving does the car do?
  12. Welcome Back! If you know what email address you used originally, and ask Colin, he may be able to find your old details and do a password reset for you? There was a provider change in the last few yrs and a lot of old accounts got a bit lost in the transfer.
  13. Hi, Welcome to Briskoda! That was a really crappy thing to happen 😔 I’ve had 2 cars decide they no longer wanted their engines so I know how your feeling after finding that.
  14. That’s for a site admin to take care of. I do know both Colin and Dean are pretty busy at the minute, but I’m sure it will get added to the forum as soon as they have a chance 👍🏻 In the meantime, just start your new threads here in the mk4 section, and put it in the title that it’s for the face lift. Then once the new sub is added, mods can pull them across easily. That said, Colin doesn’t usually split out the facelifts into their own model sub.
  15. Morning, Welcome to the forum! That looks like a very well maintained and cared for Yeti. Hopefully it stays pretty much trouble free for you 👍🏻

Morning, Welcome to the forum 👋
  17. Moisture in the antenna base on the roof. My Amundsen+ satnav in my mk2 occasionally throws a hissy fit like this, had me somewhere in the British midlands once, while I was driving around near home in South Tipperary… Ireland…
  18. Looks like a light surround for a latch? Looks like the seatbelt latch
  19. Yup, On a mk 1 you moved the switch to the dipped beam position (12 o clock) then push in and twist clockwise until it stops. Then pull out to remove the switch assembly. Can’t see the basics of the switch type having changed much..
  20. Pretty sure there’s a few Brisky members could’ve saved you 3quid 😉
  21. Morning and Happy New Year! Welcome to the forum (possibly the first new member of 2026!
  22. I’m starting the spin out for people to discuss Linux (including myself..) Have at it here @Lee01 @Graham Butcher and @MikeTheThinker Leave me chuckle thread alone 🙃🤣🤣
  23. Hi and welcome to the forum! I’d suggest moving the discussion to your other thread in the Octavia section, As you’ll get better input from more users in the issues you’re having there than here 🙃
  24. Welcome along, And, if you get into contributing, yeah, you’ll be busy diagnosing gremlins for people 🤣 What age/ spec Octavia did you pick up?
  25. Given you’ve had the egr replaced and the dpf, even though does seem similar in symptoms to that failing… Does that engine have an N75 equivalent? Ie the boost actuator solenoid. Sounds to me like cold running is causing the turbo to not spool up. And it’s being chucked into limp mode. Thus it’s okay going down the hill as there is a lot less load on the engine.
