Rattle in drivers door
So, rather than pi55 people off by making non posts on ancient threads to get your count up, go back to the hello section and say hi to some fellow new members. Or float over to the social zones where you chit chat about life the universe and the number 42 until you get you pm access enabled.

Guess the Hire Car.... Mac's 2019 game
My missus is on her second 🤣 I don’t disagree, it is a bit under powered but it’s ideal for the driving she does 90% of the time

The Sandero? I’ve not been inside one, but I can’t imagine it being much alright…

P0101 MAF No Limp
What way was it deleted?
- Hello Everyone

P0101 MAF No Limp
You can try and it might work. It depends on if it’s just gummed up or mechanically just failing. But essentially it’s sticking open so your getting more “air” in the chamber than the maf is metering in when you lift off after a long consistent run. So the ECU thinks it’s a maf problem. If you search my username and egr you’ll find my symptom development guide I did up. In the end I had mine blanked off and mapped out for 20% the cost replacing.

Yup! Exact same early days symptoms of a sticking egr

What’s the safest way to travel with large dogs in the back seat?
@poulter Just to note that the mod, admin, and site owner doesn’t take kindly to using the site for free company advertising. I note they’ve removed the corporate hyperlink since this morning. From prior experience watching this happen that’s a gentle first step to remind new members that unsolicited advertising is against the rules. next couple of steps tend to involve the ban stick… If you want to become a site sponsor then I’m sure a little advertising space might be available 😊

CTHE/CAVE Engine...Whats the diffrence?
I see mods have done some cleaning since I saw this before on the new content feed… can I offer a tip? Next time there’s a huge data dump coming that needs to be edited a lot - Do it up as a word doc so you can take your time and put it all together and change as needed. Then copy paste or just upload it as an attachment

So what did you get instead? BTW, you’ll be back in a couple of years 😂

Octavia revs
Hi, Does the car do long journeys or lots of short ones? Holding the revs hi like that is (in my experience) the exp trying to run dog regents and failing. Or… If it’s only at start up for a few minutes and then drops down it could be the ac system trying to build pressure and failing if it has had a refrigerant gas leak.

Anyone looking to sell - vrs estate.
Have a look in the market place, Anyone who is thinking about it will have to put an ad there as non-freedom member selling or advertising is frowned upon and swatted quickly by the mod team.

Deleting attachments
Morning, If viewing on mobile - Tap on your profile pic, to bring up the account menu, then tap on “my attachments”. Select the files you want to delete, then tap on the Bin icon. It’s probably very similar on a pc/laptop browser, but I can log into Brisky on my work laptop due to security restrictions by our IT dept..

Hello from Budapest from a Greek
Hi there 👋 I’m sure Colin and the (very small) team will be glad to hear you like the site 🙃 Hope you’re getting on well with your recent purchase?

Front brake pads and discs for Octavia mk3 1.6 TDI Diesel 105hp? Ordered wrong ones last time.
FS is visible on the carrier in first pic, so they are an FSiii calibre and if you measured the diameter of your old disc at 276mm that’s what you want - Discs and pads for 276mm FSiii calipers

DPF issue
Okay, should be long enough, but the rpm may be too low. the DPF system needs a sustained run over 40mph and rpm between 2000 - 2500rpm. In my mk2 that means sitting about 55-60mph in 4th gear (5speed manual, your gearing may vary), and for about 15-20mins to complete the regen process
-
DPF issue
That means the dpf isn’t getting to regen frequently enough. What kind of driving does the car do?

Hello for the second time
Welcome Back! If you know what email address you used originally, and ask Colin, he may be able to find your old details and do a password reset for you? There was a provider change in the last few yrs and a lot of old accounts got a bit lost in the transfer.
- RIP FABIA🪦

How to start a new categorie
That’s for a site admin to take care of. I do know both Colin and Dean are pretty busy at the minute, but I’m sure it will get added to the forum as soon as they have a chance 👍🏻 In the meantime, just start your new threads here in the mk4 section, and put it in the title that it’s for the face lift. Then once the new sub is added, mods can pull them across easily. That said, Colin doesn’t usually split out the facelifts into their own model sub.
