Guess the Hire Car.... Mac's 2019 game
I believe if one scrolls back a few yrs of this thread to circa 2018/19 I got a Tipo in Northern Italy when we went to Venice. It was grand. Drive grand. Felt grand. Was kitted grand. Fit the at the time 3 of us and the bags and baby crap. I do see the very very odd one around from time to time but they are a rare vehicle this far up Northern Europe. Edit - page 1! The first round of this thread 😆

Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update
Hello, is there any upgrade available for this? Please use a translation tool for posts on the site, as the default language is English and I know the mods don’t like to start giving out warnings for wrong language stuff.

Did the mechanic put a diagnostic tool on? My first guess would be Mass Air Flow sensor getting inconsistent readings causing fuelling problems. Try unplugging it, and see what it does then. If it settles down and doesn’t do the bounce there’s your answer. Without the sensor plugged in the ex just reverts to a default condition and an assumed airflow rate and fuels according to that.

Also, assuming it’s the same across models, the heat only comes on when the rear demister is also turned on. So get the knob turned as close to heat as it will go (as said they don’t line up) and turn on the demister. Should work then.

My son wants to fit a Ram Air Induction Kit - views? help!
Nor do induction noises apparently…. I know it’s hard for a male brain to comprehend that this is peer reviewed science debunking a myth but sadly we must use our own noises (words…) to try and glean affection from those we find attractive 🤣

Fitting OBDII Adaptor to 2023 Octavia VRS
Hi John, Have a look in the owners manual, it’s usually shown on the dash board/ cabin layouts. But in general with VAG cars it’s located on the lower panel area of the dashboard below the headlight switch near the drivers door. It may have a little cover over it or not, I don’t know the exact layout of a mk4. Also, Just buy an obd11 or carista or elm327 Bluetooth dongle off the internet, install the relevant app on your phone sync them together and have fun. The elm327’s usually use Torque as the app. In which case pay the few pennies and get the TorquePro version. Gives you much more useful information and diagnosis options.

My son wants to fit a Ram Air Induction Kit - views? help!
It will make precisely no difference to the engine other than make more noise 🤣 At the end of the day it’s a citigo so while it it handles like a go kart it’s because it is. (My wife had one for 8yrs, I know exactly what they are like 😂) However, the engine setup is such that a ram air is going to look cool as fk down the Tesco car park of an evening but it’s really not going to do anything. Insurance implications - @DAN@ADRIAN FLUX or @ChrisKnottIns might have a little advice on that front?
