  1. the "says its Haddock on the bag" was a bit small looking so i did an extra fish finger. and home made chips.
  2. its not cooked properly unless you need to chisel it off the can i also havnt had on in years. a colleague of mine had never had one! he's 36. me and one of the girls in the office were talking about random old food from our youth and Frey Bentos came up. he had never heard of them. he went and bought a couple of them the following week and said "yeah, theyre alright". hes bought more since though
  3. check out @FUBAR's thread about his android HU with bluetooth, gps etc. ebay job, and was very happy with it
  4. morning @CrassAss is it a hatchback or estate you have? first, easy, place to look on both would be that the seal is sealing properly. get some coloured chalk and rub it all over the seal on the car side. then get a damp cloth and rub down the hatch side. close the boot gently (to not force the seal) and open it again. the chalk should transfer all the way round, if theres any gaps, then its not sealing properly. the fact you say the seal has water in it points towards that, may need a new seal.
  5. on the petrol in lawnmowers.. i got my petrol mower in lidl in 2020. height of covid middle aisle special but with a briggs and stratton engine and a metal case. i havent drained the fuel once in 4yrs. in fact the first petrol i put in it had been sitting in the 5litre gerry can for 2 yrs. and it has yet to take more than 2 pulls to start. same plug on it still too. sometimes i think comes down to luck...
  6. yeah, its okay once you get the feel for it. but it was a crash course last weekend 🙄
  7. im now a podcast editing pro had to do a re recording as the audio quality on the first one (last weekend) was ****e as the midmcrophone was terribly clippy. so, i trialled a different approach. Missus mac recorded the segments on on phone with BT handsfree, and emailed them to me. and tonight ive stitched the bits together, made the spacing sound natural, got the speed just right, editted out the rustling noises at the ends of recordings. and after i export this clean version ill add the royalty free background music i selected. career change in the offing???? p.s. dont worry, im not drinkin the screen wash
  8. i didnt see thw first half because i was digging out a stump as part of my planned flood alleviation works to the side of the house as it had stopped raining. i saw 10mins of the second half.. and then i couldnt listen to giving out from 2 uninterested spuds who wanted the tv. wont lie, fairly gutted 😞
  9. and those headaches will be made worse when Ireland stomp all over England later this afternoon
  10. i cant remember exactly, as its a long time since i recall it coming up on here last, but do a search in this sub section for NGK and Gap you should get some hits. edit... search result.. this one has details
  11. gap check those plugs.. also i am 99% sure that mapped 1.8T need ngk plugs (with a corrected gap) search that in this sub forum for the exact spec and if its really really really not the plugs, get your coil packs checked.
  12. Lady E is right, i specifically did not say where i am or what i am actually doing at work in case it might be interesting...
  13. Congratulations Gaz no, not a proper pensioner until the state starts paying you
  14. I am at work. it is dark. it is chilly. it is not currently raining. i am waiting for ither people to do their jobs before i can do mine again.
  15. Road Runner Cartoon creators' rules
  16. Update.... 7hrs simmering... and eating dinner at the athletics track car park after dropping sr in for training. jr in the back with his dinner, before we go "training" too in a few mins
  17. Spud Jr got Conjunctivitis a couple of weeks ago, just before we were due to gon on holiday, then missus mac ended up with it too! great fun doing eye drops for 2 people 4 times a day, esp when one of them is only 4yrs old 🙄 worst part was when Jr's first eyedrops caused all the blood vessels in his eye to rupture.. god love him it looked like he'd been stabbed in the ey for about 4days until it started to clear itself out.
  18. oh I know, ive had it before, when someone takes offense to their big 4x4 or Merc being passed by an un washed old Skoda, but when i then have to re-pass them I just give socks for 2-3 mins and leave them well behind. I cant do that in the restricted work van, so end playing silly games for miles..
  19. if we are going to talk about motorway etiquette... if you overtake me, thats fine, but for the love of whatever deity you choose to believe in PLEASE continue at your overtaking speed for a while and sod off down the road? yesterday, i overtook the same blue Kuga 4 times in 20miles, because they kept passing me and then slowing down! I'm driving a van thats limited to 125kph. thats ALL I can do so the cruise control gets locked in at that, the end. if you overtake me, its because im going slower than you were, otherwise you wouldnt have caught up to me. stop slowing down to less than 120kph after passing? please???
  20. well, then see the hidden content below...
  21. Thanks Lee, that'll do it. Abd in case anyone starts, its not censorship, posting is still fine, it just allows for those who find extreme (not the right word but best i can think of right now) humour, such as the Viz content, unpleasant to bypass it and keep the giggles going. So, actually, if everyone could use the spoiler and a tag line if posting something MAY seem extreme or offensive, that would also help. again, not censorship just keeping the openly visible content "gentle" for passers-by
  22. do you really want the answer to that?
  23. I have a big pot of beef stew on the low bubble since 930am. thank God for working from home days.. and a biig long teams meeting that i could have on in the kitchen while peeling veg
  24. I have to be completely honest @@Lee i dont find these at all funny. i enjoy satirr, and lampioning, and pi**taking, but that strip is just someone as vitriolic as the protagonist venting their own dislike of the "other side".
