  1. AdBlue is AdBlue and there is no difference in brands. Who it comes from and what numbers VW give it matters not a bit. (The German Automotive Industry Association owns and licences the AdBlue brand.)
  2. The REVO Stage 1 was rubbish with a CAVE engine and REVO were not advising to have it after a while. I tried it just to see on my own car to compare with APR because a friend was thinking on being a REVO Authorised Dealer. It was crap compared to the switchable APR map i had before and went back to. I have no idea what they wrote for CTHE engines once they were able to unlock the ECU and not open up the ECU. Maybe someone here had a REVO remap on a CTHE. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/442311-the-joys-of-remapping-stage-1 http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/302195-fabia-mk2-vrs-late-2012-on-cthe-14-tsi-engine-remaps
  3. I can not find anything Old Man of Storr. Bayfield Car Park. There are 2 locations there. no. 61778 showing occupied. & 61777 Then there is 50730 showing 'Unkown' it is at Lisigarry Court as well just across from the other 2.. Only 1 site shows with the 2 chargers on PlugShare. Isle of Skye Candle co. has 2 7kW AC,s. & Marmalade Hotel. Restricted.
  4. Good. Best place. They will do the DSG oil change if you and they think necessary. It is not really but they know best.
  5. @farazvRS It is a timing chain. Was it the 2 belts you had changed that are usually done when the water pump is replaced? I would not let them near it. Your issue was the REVO Stage 1 remap as they had for the CAVE engine and opening the ECU was rubbish and too aggressive. Compared to the APR. So are you running 98 ron or more unleaded. Have you ab upgraded Air Filter / air intake as was used in the Polo GTI were you are. Battery moved to boot. Already in boot with the GTI. ? What spark plugs did you fit. And did the DQ200 DSG get if needed the software update 34H5. Done from 2017 on some 2013-2015 . PS. Was it both oils changed in the DSG.
  6. Guest_ replied to Brijo's topic in Skoda Yeti
Autocar likely just copied as someone somewhere in the world wrote. Is the club only active in England or is it the UK?
  7. Yes. Full Main Dealer Service History, or Full Service History, Yet they are often showing what is maybe not done, or not showing clearly what was like spark plugs, air filter and pollen filter. Brake Fluid change is not enough, or a visual brake inspection, rear brake drums need a clean out and serviced.
  8. Welcome. The Car is OK after all these years so that is all that matters really. ? When was the Spark Plugs last changed, and the air filter checked or changed, also the Pollen Filter? Brake fluid due again sometime, or needs testing. There really are not just 'Inspection Services'. You can not just pay for one of those. (There used to be an 'Inspection' for those not getting Dealership Servicing for the sake of the Corrosion Warranty, back with some Dealerships, that was a con. So it is Oil & Inspection Services, and Annual Oil & Filter services for a Citigo, Fixed regime, 12 months / 9,400 miles. No Variable servicing. They changed the terms from Minor & Major, or Interim & Major in 2019. They love to confuse.
  9. Welcome to the forum. Handy if you show in your signature the Car info. So is it a 1.0TSI?
  10. It really needs to be a total idiot that would say that driving styles can not impact economy. Then there are driving modes, and heater / ac uses, tyres pressures, but the main thing is if regen or coasting is used. ........... We will see if Skoda can turn out a very efficient BEV. & how near to this it actually looks.
  11. Welcome. Luckily a member called @Carlston might be along and can tell you all about sizes if you do not see them in the many previous threads in here or in the Wheel & Tyre section.
  12. First get Rust Inhibitor / Converter on it and any other chips to the metal. Then look on Youtube at the hundreds or thousands on how too,s. Or look in the 'Styling and car care' section on this forum and there are various threads on 'how do i' do this or that.
  13. Public Charging prices other than Tesla and some Local Authorities are just crazy expensive. Even Local Authorities Rapids in Scotland can be up at around 70-80 pence a kWh around Glasgow. 55 Pence Edinburgh, @Premier Inn next to Ikea Grasgow and Braehead Shopping Centre. The Braehead chargers were not working or 7 kW AC,s were giving out at only 2.3 kW for free. Osprey charger @ Steam Wheeler are 79 pence a kWh Grid Serve @ Premier Inn are 79 pence a kWh. I used a CPS Council charger nearby that was working @ 57 pence a kWh. x 20 = £11.40 for about 75 miles. Before i used a Tesla Super charger @ Heartlands, @ 51 pence a kWh. x 20 = £10.20 for about 75 miles. (offpeak would have been 40 pence a kWh) Before that a MFG near Edinburgh Airport. @ 79 pence. x 10 £7.90. 35-40 miles. 25 kWh in South Ayrshire @ 37 pence = £9.25. 33 kWh at home @ 22 pence is good for 100-120 miles £7.26. .................. Not a mention on charging in or around Edinburgh and the cost. But anyway Tesla non Tesla charging is about the cheapest way to go and get Rapid or Ultra Rapid Charging. But if you are buying 100 kWh @ 64 pence a kWh and getting 3.9 miles a kWh then £64 for 390 miles. In a diesel getting 50 miles per gallon. then 400 miles is 8 gallons @ £7.09 a gallon, = £57 ish. BP Chargers @ South Queensferry 85 pence unless maybe subscription and 69 pence a kWh. Then any Edinburgh City Council are 55 pence a kWh. I was only getting an indicated 90 mpg because coasting downhill for a few miles and 60- 65 mpg on slower roads but 55 mpg average using ECO PRO mode other than when bored and arses on my rear bumper in average speed camera areas or where speed camera vans are common.. (edit typos.)
  14. It has a DQ200 7 speed twin clutch DSG. Which has 2 oils and no Service Schedule, or recommendations to change the oils. Just as it was in February. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/521302-karoq-16-dsg
  15. Treat stone chips ASAP, at least with nail varnish or something until they can be touched up properly. 'Simply clever'. As to Zinc Inclusion than at Dealer Services the FULLY TRAINED TECHNICIAN doing the Body Inspection should spot that. This is the Body Inspection that Skoda UK will usually say there is no record of, and that the 12 year corrosion warranty T&C does not say is required, annually, bi-annually or periodically. Any Skoda Approved Used car getting the 100 point check should have that picked up on.
  16. Someone posted last year asking the same just not a pole though.
  17. @ballcock do you mean the £2,208 37? How much of that shows as the MCU without vat,? It actually looks like not as much as it might usually cost including fitting. Taken what the brakes and serviced usually is. The real issue is the MCU,s and not fit for purpose and high time VW were admitting so. Edit. £1,482 as first quoted. ??? That looks like Skoda or VW contributed. Parts of part of part and labour.
  18. I looked at Google and UAX DSG and found used / refurbished and 7 speed. So being a 2019 2 litre tdi I guess a DQ381. But others that know for sure can maybe say. That would be the servicing at @80,000 miles at the latest. Best be sure and then maybe go earlier. ! How many km has it done now?
  19. I think it is just the nature of the BMW / MINI 3 cylinder petrol engine. (is it the one with the 48v mild hybrid). It is does has a bit of a thirst when just the 134 bhp petrol turbo doing cold starts, not cold weather, just short hops.
  20. SKODA_Warranty_Terms_July_2023.pdf
  21. The great escape. After the rain.
  22. 'Engines switching off' is a very different feature than 'Coasting' with the DSG,s and it disengaging from gear and 'freewheeling'.
