  1. This will be why the car is still at the charger this morning. The DC has had to be disconnected and the charger is still locked in. The drivers door handle is out. Why it has not been recovered from the bay is anyone's guess. Likely it will be weeks before the CCS is available again. Maybe months.

@croquemonsieur It does not have a similar effect. And the 1.0 TSI and 1.5tsi ACT might have the same DQ200,s, their mapping is rather different though. With a DSG you can get into anyone's car and drive and move the seat, the mirrors and get comfortable and if you want D, S or manual shifts there is the selector at your left hand. No need to mess with any settings the regular driver might have chosen.
  3. The Girvan Harbour CCS might be out of order for some time as the cable has been disconnected. It is locked into a Jag.
  4. Yesterday in Girvan where there is one Rapid Charger a New Beige Jaguar EV was plugged into the charger the whole day from early morning until night and locked in so stopping anyone else using the DC charging. New charge is 37 pence a kWh, 60 minutes max charge time and a £30 overstay. They were maybe fine getting a full battery for £30,00 and treating the charger as theirs for a day. Maybe not even 30 x 37 pence plus £30 as i have seen chargers where there is the penalty charged but not the electric charged for. There are places where it might be a kWh tariff for 40 -say 60 minutes then £1 a minute and people just stay til full, as it is just money. ...................... Lots of money...
  5. @shempy Do you want a Real Spare with the identical tyre circumference / total diameter to what is on the car. Or are you after an Emergency Spare / Steel wheel narrower and tyre that fits in and is not lifting the floor and nearly an identical circumference of tyre?
  6. Is it not showing that pressure for the car loaded? Run a bit lower if that feels too hard. Lacking grip.
  7. No. In the UK you can not. There are countries where you get a Remap or Tuning Box that VW approved. Seat do then or Cupra. But you can not remap in the UK and keep the manufacturers warranty. ABT Sportsline. There were dealers that supposedly did REVO in the UK and said the Warranty was valid. It was not. Not the Manufacturers Warranty.
  8. More bhp but the same 370 Nm. More magic for the WLTP /RDE2. If you remap yourd as you see in the warranty t&c,s you are not running factory approved software or hardware. So invalidate the warranty. But life is too short. Just do it and if something breaks fix it.
  9. They can tell you all that now when the ECU is integrated. As happens when there are fatalities.

Is everyone talking about the same 'sport' as in the shifter moved back from D to S. Holds the gear up change to a higher RPM. Rather than settings using the centre display and a Sport setting there?
  11. Actually the problem is problem ones not doing what they should. Ones working correctly are coming along the road and plenty of us have Matrix lights. Not all stupid.
  12. @Chickenlickin How are the rear drum brakes if your car has them, have then had a clean out / service?
  13. You would have to ask a few dealers, Skoda car dealers, drug dealers , casino croupiers etc. The Screen shot was for Skoda Dealerships was it not?
  14. Up North we have 'Car Collections of Scrap vehicles' that say they want paid to take your car away. Up Aberdeen way ones that say not interested but deliver it and they will give you something. Around Tayside and Fife there are those with Websites and e-mails that bother to reply and give a price and might want cars in the area. I have had them agree to collect cars up Aberdeen way when there anyway, or it has been something that they wanted and they paid actual proper 'Cash Money'. They would rub their hands in glee to get your car.
  15. Maybe give a Briskoda member a chance to take it even if for Spare and them breaking it. It must be worth at least double the 'Trade in offer', & I can imagine the person offering the p/x seeing them getting £600 + for it. I would be wanting at least that sort of money if there is a valid MOT.
  16. @silver1011 IMO better done than not. Even if i had one from new i know how i floor the accelerator, do double kickdowns etc. Time will tell when there are more 8 year old ACT / CODs, with the parts fitted at the factory if VW Group cared about owners / buyers or was it all these 5 year old and older FMDSH cars in trade and that the Dealers might need to be spending 6 hours or so on. Or less labour hours when they were footing the bill and not customers before the car was back into a dealer as a Skoda, VW, Audi , Seat approved used car.
  17. Chinese whispers. Cam Belt Guidance change (1).pdf
  18. Sell. Advertise. Maybe on Briskoda.
  19. Shock horror. Porsche Main Dealer servicing is not 'Much Cheapness' and neither is the tyres for a Porsche EV. Not more expensive than the same size as fitted to any car though. You make you choices and pays your bills. *If you want to drive an ICE vehicle after 2035 you can, but maybe you will not be able to buy or First Register a new one.* Unless there are changes in the next 11 years. Armoured Range Rover & Jaguars are used in the UK quite often for Diplomats and Politicians or just VIPs,. Royals as well, but they might have some armouring in their EV,s. BEV for some Government Ministers for photo ops at Wind Farms etc. Alok Sharma MP, COP 26 time etc.
  20. ^^^how about telling us what the Tyres are, what size and what pressure you have them at?
  21. @lee8810 Ask at a Skoda dealership on Monday. Get them to book the car in for the repair / Workshop action under the warranty.
  22. @kentdale What is the RECALL for? Is it to check the protective Mat, car with DSG, protecting Brake Master from heat.?
  23. Be sure to find out what is being done. Every Single thing. Is it getting its 2nd Pollen filter change. Has it had one changed before? Has the Brake Fluid been changed? Has the Air filter been looked at. *Can you not do those yourself?* So, Top chart is Fixed Price cars 3-10 years old as it was pre 2020. Prices. How much are they wanting in 2024 for any of these. Interim or Major service? .................. Then a Fixed Service Regime guidance as Skoda started showing when they went Oil & Inspection Services in 2020. Has the Haldex been serviced at 3 years / 30,000 miles. @ the Last Service. If you have a DQ381 DSG the service is at 80,000 miles, or best before that. IMO.
