  1. Global. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions
  2. Global usually means World Wide, except when VW Group decide that Global or World Wide does not include Europe as they did on 2012 with DQ200 DSG's.
  3. @NavcomicThese RECALLS apply in the UK, and Registered Keepers should get letters, but only if their vehicles are part of the build series involved in the Recall. Registered Keepers do get missed, and Recalls even fail sometimes to shows 'Recall Actions / Service Campaings / Workshop Actions' on the Skoda VIN checker even when a full 'Safety Recall' http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions
  4. With the DVLA Safety Critical Recalls VW Group / Skoda get Registered Keeper details from the DVLA to contact them. There are times that VW Group persuade the DVLA that they will do Voluntary Recalls and no need for a SAFETY RECALL, and they have dealers with cars for sale that do not even get the Recall Action / Service Campaign / Workshop action carried out. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/511789-skoda-recall-fyi http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/337617-skoda-secret-service-campaigns-no-recalls-being-done-briskoda-forum Last week. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/511593-absesp-recall-45f4
  5. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/511788-skoda-recall-in-israel http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/337617-skoda-service-campaigns-no-recalls-being-done-briskoda-forum 'Global' eg, Around the Globe, World Wide, not excluding Europe / UK. But obviously not all are involved. . http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions
  6. @AvocetVehicles that come with a 'off-road' mode / button, have the software that does that, calms down the accelerator.
  7. Time will tell for the UK across the models. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions http://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-recall Check 2017 Octavia rear wheel bearing RECALL. Any reason it shows for 2017 and then disappears off the DVLA site?
  8. Welcome. Hopefully someone will be along that can help. Maybe someone that has done it. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/475545-vrs-without-paddles.
  9. Because no more than 250 Nm & FWD, and not 2.0 TSI or TDI's or PHEV's.
  10. @bolixYou are right to doubt it. If they are no more than 250 Nm of torque and FWD they might well have a DQ200 /DQ200-e. But no 2.0 TDI or TSI or PHEV has a DQ200, they will have DQ381,s or DQ400-e's.
  11. Channel 4 are running a story on the millions of Defeat Device affected cars still on the road in the UK 7 years on. That is VW Group cars but also others. It is time that the UK Government had the Manufacturers buying up the cars still on the road that are those that have the defeat devices. Maybe have those that got compensation hand in the cars to be scrapped. The SMMT are as usual giving guff statements as they are only bothered about manufacturers and not the generalpublic.
  12. There are sellers asking ridiculous prices for used cars and this can be because of the supposed shortage and because Dealers & Traders might have paid too much in trade ins or buying from auction etc. You will be paying a premium from a business / dealer / trader but getting some consumer protection more than private purchases. Prices are all over the place and you need to decide what is good value, or worth the price, or desirable. 9-12 year old cars are plentiful in the UK and at different prices around the UK so it is just a case of finding what you want. Just be aware of additional costs of maintenance and servicing if stuff is not up to date with the previous keepers ownership and budget for having to have stuff done and who you will be having do it for you.
  13. A Briskoda member posted that their car was in for a service at a dealers in Ireland and they fitted an engine cover. I assumed a new one. Maybe wrongly. Post by @Hairy_Joe3rd March 2023. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/502882-vrs-engine-cover-recall/page/4 @Coburg The provider of Skoda Customer Services in the UK might well say they have no contact with Skoda Head Office, well that really can not be a truthful statement and they really need to contact SKODA / VW UK regarding matters they are clueless about, as are dealership staff.
  14. Welcome to the forum. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/511557-axle-stands-jacking http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/504330-axle-stand-points-guidance-please
  15. Such is life with an EV. Swings and roundabouts. Spring has sprung and people can enjoy the roads other than when stuck behind caravaners, or caravaners charging their car in remote locations for free so that they can power the caravans during the night from the car. Then there are those rocking up much more often to charge when towing as the efficiency is pathetic when towing what ever the weather temps, but especially in colder weather.
  16. @RoddersUK Sorry I have never had anything to do with Euro 6 2.0 TSI's and just see what others put on this forum or social media. There are plenty about with the knowledge or experience. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/503525-raceline-remap
  17. @RoddersUKdiscussions on the spark plugs, air filter or any other hardware and anything else concerning tuning a vehicle is what should happen with the Tuner before they touch the car. They are supposedly the person with all the gear and more than ideas, and one would want them to be totally familiar with the engines. If they are not i would not be using them. No point me just quoting or linking the correct plugs or gap from a standard car. Those are easy enough to check up on. http://opieoils.co.uk
  18. People Remap cars with engines that are not running right, and without sorting out issues first. 1.4 TSI / TFSI 132-136 kW Twinchargers had issues, that was from the Factory and with standard parts, plugs and Engine Management. An APR Stage 1 map, a change of spark plugs from OE and not using the Castrol Long Life oil and 99 Ron and you were on a winner. The REVO stage 1 remap was and is crap. In my and in others opinion and experience. It was just not right as they had it when used on a road car. They did warn you about the engine issues, and their dealers still did remaps, and on dodgy engines. Said it was for 98 ron super unleaded and they could not say where in the UK there was 98 ron as it was already only 97 or 99 ron min on sale. They were hopeless with Customer Services and failures that were down to their Software & not the actual engines. There was a Company Person that replied on here quite a lot and was just clueless. SHARK. So RaceLine. were trusted. I trusted APR with Twin chargers. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/392363-remap-options-fabia-vrs 2011 when the Twinchargers in a Fabia were on sale for a year. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/206191-remap-for-mk2-vrs 2013 http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/290877-fabia-vrs-twincharger-remapping ................. REVO did and still do make customers aware of issues and potential problems. As did i very very often. You can only try telling people, they might ignore that warnings.
  19. Are the 150 or 160 PS just the 1.8 TSI's and the 200 ps the 2.0TSI?
  20. Is that possibly an option for Cloth seats rather than leather?
  21. @jobjor can you how an example of an advert or something with the L&K (k) ? I assume it is not Combi / Kombi / Wagon, or as known in the UK an Estate car if cheaper.
  22. The place selling it has a reader they can plug in. Even if they are not mechanics, especially if they are not mechanics. Common, So that they can clear 'Fault Codes' before road tests. & after them... They never got to be where they are without having at least the skills of a Kerb Side Auto's sales person.
  23. Well worth it if they were not done at the 'Full Service' 1 year ago, and they have not been looked at.
  24. No idea if this will disappear as well. Premiere starting at Mid day.
  25. First maybe tell what engine, gearbox and age of a vRS Estate. Is it a TDI? Is it a manual or DSG. Test everything on a road test of over 20 miles. AC etc, Cruise Control, acceleration etc. Handling, brakes. Service History, not just Minor & Major Servicing. Fixed or Variable, Pollen filter, Air Filter, brake fluid changes, anything more than just Oil & Inspection Services? What tyres are on, are the brakes looking good, is the windscreen looking good, is the spare wheel in the spare tyre well, the kit, the locking wheel nut socket.
