Superb estate advice
Welcome. Chalk & Cheese there. Brown Leather comfort, auto & AWD, lovely and a little more in servicing cost. As to residuals, how long are you keeping them for? First thing to ask about the L&K if there is a FMDSH is, has the Haldex been serviced. It is a 3 year item or sooner. Looks like it could be new discs on it which is not a bad thing. so basically, What servicing have they had in the first 3 years and since? Has the Brake Fluid been changed or have they just had basic Oil & Filter & Inspection servicing?

Dealer software update - advice
I posted that for the OTHER RECALL ACTIONS. 'Recall-actions' as in Service Campaigns, always worth reminding the Service Desk Staff that say 'There is a RECALL'. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions we know your car is not part of the 'Voluntary recall' for Euro 5 TDI's. We know they are not really RECALLS when the Registered Keeper is not notified.

Service Costs - Confused or Naive
You have to be as bare-faced & as hard necked as they are. I have borrowed a demonstrator before now and refused to return it until they shorted out the Mot failure and show me the part they said it needed at the Free Service & MOT that had the parts replaced the year before when they had failed it before selling the car. I have borrowed a demonstrator and refused to return it until the Deposit & Interest was in my Account after the Dealership had failed to order a car and played me on for months and months past the time it was supposed to arrive. With some playing them at their own game is picking up something in the dealership and saying you are trying to rob me for the price of windscreen wash you never actually supplied and cheating the HMRC as well. If they say they will call the police tell them to do just that and explain what you have done trying to take money by false pretences. You find that Scottish Dealerships and the ones that do this deception / fraud as a common practice will reconsider the invoice.

New or improved hubs announced, Government EV Loans in Scotland and free & no longer free public charging places..
Angus Council has decided that the cost to charge will be 23 pence per kWh at their chargers. The going has been good while it lasted. I will charge in Perth & Kinross now where free if that lasts and at Tesco occasionally at Free Chargers for maybe an hour or so on a 7kW charger. If needs must my home tariff is 18 pence a kWh for another couple of months. 45 kWh @ 18 pence £8.10 @ getting 3 miles per kWH that is for 135 miles. After that then to charge my EV is 45 kWh is going to be £10.35 with Angus Council.

? Was their keyboard faulty so they could not just tell you? Once you find out what the TPI or Service Campaign is about on your particular car then it is time to consider. It can not be a Recall or Critical Safety Recall since the car was never Recalled, so one of those Skoda Secret Service 007 Service Campaigns, on a need to know basis. Owners need not know unless car at a Main Dealers. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-recall

As a member of the human race with some brain cells still i was not suggesting doing that. Skills in the Motor Industry & Car Engineering sector with those trained to whatever level seem to take longer before lack of ability or laziness are discovered.

Cop26
The Craziness & the Simply Clever is that taking it to £35,000 gets you it for £32,500. Well while they are available.

Build Times for new Karoq
Skoda UK the Importer is not one Skoda it is just part of VW UK really. Call handlers, communication managers & Senior Customer Resolution Managers like Kate Laws are just employees that are part of a rather poor set up in the UK where treating customers like mushrooms has got worse in the past decade. Keep them in the dark and when required shovel them some sh!t.

You might as well knock up City and Guild certificate or NVQ,s that you are a qualified Motor Mechanic or technician if committing fraud by production Vat registered invoice / receipts.

Automatic gear box problems
Bump for @badger115 There are better threads that will cover the fault you have and @Mickmartinmight be able to point you in the direction to point your mechanic in.

Emissions / Particulate Filter questions
Good. So your car is built 8 years before 'Gasoline Particular Filters' were introduced to Skoda's. Only a few threads on members having regen issues with them so far.

I agree but then you have limited space. Plenty Roof Baskets that fit for around £99 on Ebay & Amazon. There are threads someplace. Bigger basket carriers than this. Someplace there is a pic of the one i have on my 3 door Shogun. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/458836-expedition-roof-rack I will take pic later when lighter. Steel Carrier that was about £79 and comes built, alloy ones are lighter.

Emissions / Particulate Filter questions
Don't go driving about more than you might need to and wasting fuel just because the car is a TDI. You do not need to drive in Sport mode. If you find your are starting to have issues with the DPF then you might need to be doing longer trips. How many miles the car has done now over 10 years might well make a difference. Skodas have VW Group engines so the DPF's are across several makes of cars and the DPF's are in diesels since 2009 so much of a sameness over all manufacturers as how diesel cars and DPF's might behave.

Electric vehicles and charging
They are least get used with people parked and charging which is more than can be said for Stirling's Castle View Park & Ride with 40 7 kW, 20 22kW and nobody using them. Only 4 rapids. Free Parking & Free Charging. Chance of them working is not that high. This better not be the future, money wasted as people are wanting to go on their journeys and need reliable fast charging if people are not going to Park & Ride. *Visited by travellers in caravans which stopped EV drivers from being able to go near the place and charge and the action Police Scotland took ZERO, not ZERO CARBON.*

Buy borrow or hire a trailer. (Tyre pressures do not need to be at 3 bar) Doh, wrong thread.

So that is £35 for a Pollen Filter & £45 for an Air Filter. Money for old rope just the same. Includes disposal of the Old ones, unlike about 9 years back when Skoda Main Dealers were trying it on with charging for Environmentally friendly disposal of Oil & Filters when servicing cars.

- Octavia II Intake Manifold Actuator
Welcome. Your question has been missed here. A mod can move it to the Octavia Section.- Engine, gearbox and suspensions retrofit
Best ask the person that is going to do it what they can do and what they want you to get.- Insurance break, but retaining your no-claims discount
2 years is common. AF says longer, I have had 3 years of NCB sitting unused while covered on a Motability car but not for a long time since.- Delivery times?
Maybe try a call or email yourself to Skoda Specialist Cars Dundee part of the John Clark group and you might well get a truthful reply, maybe even a pleasant surprise. - Octavia II Intake Manifold Actuator
