Citigo Automatic
Many find a 3 door the most awkward. There needs to be space when parked to get a bigger door open to get in and out so maybe Disabled Spaces needed. Reaching back to get a seat belt can be an issue with 3 doors that might not be with a small 5 door car. Sometimes it takes someone with disabilities or who are infirm to know what suits their needs as someone without the problems can get the needs wrong. IME the Small car with the easiest access and the most room for 2 not small people in the front and even one in the back was the Toyota iQ. The CVT was / is great. Better then the Smart box, and more room in the Iq than in a Smart. What a Pity they were discontinued and what a shame they have not been reintroduced as an EV. The big doors could be an issue if someone came and parked close to you and then you could not get the door open to get back in the car.. The passengers seat slid forward and they still had lots of leg room to let a full size passenger behind them, or get a wheel chair in via the front door. The car is as wide as a larger car for the front space.

Best spark plugs for Fabia VRS mk2?
@thomasaspin You must remember well when you had not even managed to get to be a helmet. You managed to have some howlers. You should remember what you had when having issues.

2012 Skoda superb paint fade
@ashskoda Welcome to the forum. ? Do you mean since you got the car from new, or since you got the car used. If you can check at sometime with a detailer or paint shop and have them measure the paint thickness. See if the Factory paint or a repair from being in transit or since on the front and door. PS Contamination comes from the environment. Basically in the air / out of the sky. So Industrial fallout, acid rain, rail stations, factories, near places where spraying goes on, chemicals, farms etc etc, or maybe where parked and sun, or reflected sun, sea salt from being parked at seaside

Skoda Kushaq
@mac11irlIt has a different wheel base from a Karoq. (It gets as standard some safety related stuff that has been a requirement to be standard in the EU from the factory for a few years.)

Front brake noise
Just a small smearing of copper grease on the rear of the pads.

Front brake noise
@LambdelorianWelcome. The issue with brake squeal and the need to try different pads is certainly known to Skoda. If it is a characteristic of the car then the Engineers messed up. There will be new and used Fabia mk3 at the dealership without this characteristic, so are they faulty and those buying these cars missing out? What actual job or position / Job Title of the person at the Dealership saying this to you? Was it a Service Desk person / Service Manager or a Technician? Get them to put it in writing with their name and job title that they tell you Skoda do not know, and also have them put why they are not telling them of customers issues. ? Why did Skoda approve the discs and pads being replaced if they are unaware of the issue? The Dealership never footed the bill.

My Tesla Model 3 - so far
@Luckypants I really enjoy driving EV's and have tried most out that were available up to the end 2020. I wanted to be able to lift bikes on and off the roof carrier easily, even electric bikes. Not easy with a high roof vehicle without a step or wall to stand on. Really my needs and experience of having one would not be the same most EV drivers unless leasing from Motability. I chose the e-Corsa because it was just a car for having a good drive in for doing nothing much and not looking like an EV, It had to be good for 150 miles without needing charged when 2 people on board. (Turned out it can just about some times when needing to get someplace in a hurry.) That was choice out of many i could have had from the list with some having lower advance payments at the time. (This year / this quarter, there are some really good deals for anyone wanting an EV through Motability.) For me it is under £63 a week to lease with no other costs because i am not paying for electric. No insurance or servicing to pay for. I would have a bigger car with more range if i actually needed to have an EV rather than just wanting to run one when it suits me. One that can tow a car transporter with a car on at least. When i do get back to my regular journeys of 150-300 miles a day once or twice a week i will use the e-Corsa if not in a hurry and the charging is free. (Some places i go are charging to charge now and if it is cheaper or the same to use another car i might instead of charging and waiting about.) If i can charge the car and it be parked and go for a bike ride i might well but charging places can not be counted on if in a hurry to get someplace.) I can do the 300 miles in a Petrol or Diesel for between £30-60, i do like being able to do that for free when i can. Today in winter i would not take the EV just incase of road closures or diversion because of the weather and i would only be able to get 110 miles at main route speeds. I could go for a trip around the hills and glens where there would be regen, that is if there was no lockdown and still get 150 miles or so driving alone in the cold weather. The thing is that you have the option to turn back, but still you need to think of range, getting to chargers, and will the chargers work.

Best spark plugs for Fabia VRS mk2?
@AmusedMusselIs the ESSO Super Unleaded in your area not now 99 ron (Minimum) ? Can you explain please why you say DENSO plugs do not have such a long life as NGK plugs? The Service Life of the NGK's or the DENSO is said to be 60,000 miles. The VW Group Service Schedule for Spark Plugs is given as 40,000 miles / 4 years / 2nd major service. Plugs can go 40,000 miles or 60,000 miles. They might not be lasting that long in a 1.4TSI / TFSI 132-136 kW, or a remapped engine. Or 1 plug might not. I had 4 DENSO plugs that were in a Twincharger for 30,000 miles & it was running stage 1, using 99 ron and occasionally 102 ron. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/426905-2013-vrs-dead-any-advice 95 Unleaded or 97/99 Super Unleaded. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/314283-super-unleaded-and-normal

Fabia 1.0 TSI 110HP DSG-7 - tips, tricks, advices, experiences...
The DQ200's are pretty smart, and they are used in more than 48 applications in VW Group vehicles with different mapping. A DQ200 DSG can totally ignore the drivers choice of gear in manual if it will potentially damage the box, like going down gears and to too low a gear for the speed or RPM. This can be different with some Wet Clutch DSG's especially with a diesel that can really cause issues if you select too low a gear and the car does as told.

Best spark plugs for Fabia VRS mk2?
@AmusedMussel Maybe @Mickmartinwill look in on this thread and say what plugs he is now running his Stage 2 mapped twincharger with. NGK as a manufacturer of spark plugs are not really the issue as many have used them for years in vehicles. When i first started working on cars & bikes 50 years back there were Champion or NGK to choose from in garages. The issue is their application with the Twinchargers and that VW Group have never admitted an issue with the OEM plugs on engines they produce that can have issues. So NGK will blame 'User Error' or Dealership fitters error' rather than addressing the Elephant in the room. VW Group's head in the sand. The NGK that many use for remapped cars are fair enough, but when used in a sporting way like track, hillclimbs, sprints or just fast driving they can have a short life. 5,000 miles or less. Or one plug can, the other 3 might be fine. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/237997-bkreix-or-bkr8eix-spark-plugs *Worth remembering the REVO stage 1 map was terrible and more than 1 member posting in this thread ended up with dead engines. There were posts / threads about actions concerning REVO being deleted from this forum.* My post at bottom of page 1, 13th October 2013. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/246959-ngk-bkr-7eix-2667 A NGK bkr6eix thread. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/340481-anybody-tried-them

Maximum Tyre Size
@ColinDIs @Carlstonactually a human member or a Bot? I did wonder if it was a special feature of Briskoda. It is just that the member never says where they are, where they drive, what they drive, Then they have links to the full choice or Steel or Alloy Rims, Tyres, Suspension and brake parts world wide. The obsession with smaller rims might be brilliance or some coding error.

Scala SE 110 DSG Day 1 Review
@sparckzero Getting out of 1st by 6mph is not a bad thing, it is a 7 speed box and 1st really is for starting off, and for going really slow, or coming to a stop. Getting to know the car and 'Driving in / running in' it will help lots in getting to know the DQ200 7 speed twin dry clutch DSG. Getting to know there can be a delay from brake pedal to accelerator and moving. 'S; just lets it go to a higher RPM before shifting up. In winter on the factory fit tyres even after the pressures are set and the TPMS reset it is a balance between getting away without wheel spin and getting off into traffic. TC/ASR will have the car cut drive if there is wheel spin, and nip the brakes and that is in 'D' or 'S'. On slippy slidy / icy / snowy roads it is handy going back to 'S' when off the accelerator to slow down and getting braking / deceleration without using the brakes @terrygriffyou can tell when some dealership staff are lying or talking guff, their lips move.

Battery low warning
It is not an essential journey going driving to charge a cars battery. Just keep using the charger to have the car with enough charge to be able to start when needed for essential journeys like getting shopping, medicines / doctor appointments, going to work or doing caring duties.

Best spark plugs for Fabia VRS mk2?
@GUESTYGood, the Esso is now 99 ron minimum. ? How many miles has your car done. Is it a 2012 with a CAVE or CTHE engine? Just watch for any drop in the coolant level as can show the Waterpump / Supercharger Magnetic clutch might need replacing. The 2 belts need inspecting anyway if you have the oroginal water pump and belts. If tuning or modifying or upgrading Twinchargers is of interest then this is might be the best advice for those in the UK from @Mickmartin. In Scotland http://ecotune-scotland.co.uk know all about Twinchargers.

Best spark plugs for Fabia VRS mk2?
@GUESTY You do not need to uprate the standard coils. Just need 4 correctly functioning coils. You can uprate if you want to. Like everything vRS the threads are all here to just do a search for. People come here with issues then later they are giving advice....They learn quick. It is 12 years since the Euro 5 emission SEAT Ibiza Twincharger came out there has been lots learned in that time about keeping them running well or tuning them and still keeping them running. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/425593-misfire-cylinder-four @thomasaspinHas his R8 Coils fitted and Denso plugs, but we were let into a secret. That was they were not fit and forget. Maybe they did need gapping. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/465359-fabia-vrs-mk2-coilpacks http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/345369-misfire http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/324010-coil-packs-and-uprated-coils http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/416603-vrs-coil-packs The recommended petrol is 98 Ron Super unleaded for a 1.4 TSI / TFSI m that is 98 ron. No retailers sell 98 ron in the UK so it is 97 ron or 99 ron that is available. It shows on your fuel flap. https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/need-help/need-help-faqs/fuel

2014 VRS TSI Estate: Quantum Red Remap to 310bhp?
There will always be people who want cars that can give good economy when carry people and stuff over long distances and maybe even need to tow. Not everyone lives in urban areas or needs to go into low emission zones in towns or cities. Horses for courses. Many people drive what they like to drive regardless of the changing minds of politicians.

Remap vrs diesel octavia 2017
Not a very good remap then. If the economy matters more than the performance best have it reverted to standard? Did your insurance company load the premium with the car remapped?

@Jimbo1971 If you drive exactly as you did before the remap can you really not get the same MPG?

Skoda Octavia MK 3 1.0tsi vs 1.6tdi
@Donald1Welcome to the forum. Basically you have no need of a 1.6 TDI for your use as in the OP. A 1.0TSI will do all you want and not worry about the short trips with cold starts. The 1,6TDI is that green that in the Euro 5 there needed to be a defeat device, and then when they got SCR (AdBlue) in some models they are now discontinued.
