@farty When the wheels are smaller but the same circumference / total diameter is kept and the tyres, and tread width then what is the difference other than the possible same (edit) to one rim more than anothers by size?

Urgent help on steering
@Pamuna Welcome. Best say what age your car is, what engine it has and how it came to have this fault. Your are going to need someone that can look at the car diagnose what the fault actually is.

Best front tyres for smother ride
@DSgformeAs asked above, what wheel size and tyre size are on the car. & what are the winter tyres you have on the front and what are on the rear as in Brand / name, and do you run these at pressures lower than the ECO pressures that might show for your car?

EV sub £30k comparison group tests.
If he studied figures and thought before recording he would have seen that both the e-208 and e-Corsa 8.1 second times are 0-62, both are given 7.6 seconds with 0-60. As it is either can better those times, as can a VW e-Up better the VW times. Then as for unladen and laden weights, maybe Matt should take them to a Public Weigh bridge sometime and find the actual truth on the various cars weights. He needs to stop saying BHP / HP when the figures are actually in PS, or vice versa. PS If the Police Officer knows what they are doing which is driving without due care and attention basically then surely an official warning is in order. What a place to conk out!

Kodiaq winter/All season/c.v tyres
Then there are those with BMW,s that went for a x-drive and for appropriate tyres and have dealerships store their other set of wheels and they are stuck behind so called SUV,s / All wheel drives / 4x4s / cross overs etc. So cars that drive front, rear or all wheels and have Summer tyres on. Even those that go 19" rims and low profile tyres and go out driving when they might be better staying where they are.

From a Snow Gate Webcam on the A939. These are what let people go play on a rather exciting road even when ploughed and salted.

Winter is coming!
It is chillier tonight than is normal in Scotland from the North to the South, but milder weather is forecast from Sunday.

Skoda Enyaq
@BoxerBoyThe charging power is being produced all around where you live and needs people to use it and places for it to be stored as electricity in Batteries or converted to hydrogen. They want to take the gas out the ground from near where you live for the Cracking Plant at Grangemouth so that they do not need to ship so much in from the USA. Maybe you notice how much electricity is generated from Oil & Gas at Grangemouth to be able to run the refinery. Grannies trundle about in Smart Cars, Renault Twingo's, MX3's, GT86 / BRZ.s and BMW's with RWD just fine as they will in a electric Smart, TESLA, Honda-e, VW ID.3 / 4 / Enyaq etc. Scotland has plenty Grannies in their 40's that can drive perfectly well in winter the same as older ones, or even Grandads.

Torn between 1.8 TSI and 2.0 TDI CR 170 - Superb II
Simple really when salvage & stolen Cars are in building with people not working dealership hours with tea breaks and lunch breaks and have white marching powder. it is a very busy industry in the UK.

Torn between 1.8 TSI and 2.0 TDI CR 170 - Superb II
@Westbury63 You certainly have not worked in the car trade with the people i have. They can turn a turd in to concours condition and turn out a ringer in under a day. Take a dead Hire Car / Taxi and with a stolen cars parts make it a 'First person to view will buy car'. So best reserve.

Torn between 1.8 TSI and 2.0 TDI CR 170 - Superb II
@Westbury63 Millions around that do not know how to and that go along to look without someone that can. A RAC Inspection can be a total joke. or as it is a, *82 point check.* So not a RAC inspection. I have traded in cars that were advertised with a RAC Inspection before they even got to the dealer. At least you get some support if it is a bag of nails and you discover that soon enough.

Ridiculous Skoda main dealer servicing costs
Places that film the service could easily also film the road test that they should be doing when they are charging for it to be. I see no (edit) reason why a car owner should be allowed to film from their vehicle the establishment and people that are in and around their car and that have nothing to do with their cars servicing and maintenance.

A 1 'Former Registered Keeper' car is just that, 1 former keeper on the V5. No 'In Trade' keepers, or @the Car Auctions' OWNERSHIP is showing, the car could have changed hands several times and been a Taxi for a few weeks or months.. So you need to check when the 'Former Keeper' last had the car in their keeping. Then was that Keeper a Company or a private Individual, but still you know little about a beautifully presented car with a FMDSH. Anyone can made a hard used car look beautiful if they know how to. Check what the Full Service History actually shows, as in was it serviced to the recommendations at the schedule these come up at. Then is it even the original engine in the car, or maybe better still a nice rebuilt one.

Kodiaq 2.0 TDI 200hp engine break in
I would suggest unless driving on roads with no speed limits / unrestricted autobahn etc then there is no worry about using too high RPM in the gears while driving sensibly in a new car. I see now when not on a phone that the car has a DSG, so that is sorted then. Select D and the gears will change just fine when at the right RPM.

Does it really matter if they chose to call it that for their 'Publicity'. Just as long as the London to Brighton Veteran Car Rally is held where it should be held. http://autosport.com/dakar/news/154489/dakar-stage-6-shortened-and-delayed

Engine oil for Sel first Edition 1.5 tsi
@OctaviaFirstEdit ? Did you ever check the Oil from collecting the car until you got the warning. Just to maybe let you and others know if their 'Technicians' ever bothered to be sure the correct oil level was there when you got the car. So now your car might have half and half of the VW508 00 & VW 504 00 or maybe mostly VW504 00.

Engine oil for Sel first Edition 1.5 tsi
@OctaviaFirstEdit ? Who was he, as in what is his job, was he a technician. Your engine has VW508 00 oil in from the factory. Topping up with a different spec like VW 504 00 so 5w 30 FS III which is a long life out is OK if needs must. But Your car / engine is nearly new and at least 7 months away from an oil change if you have it on Fixed Servicing. (Your never said how many miles you car has done.) Really is is advised to use the Recommended Oil for your car until it gets an oil and filter change. that is 0w 20 FS IV. / VW508 00 This was showing from Skoda rom the early launch of the 1.5TSI's.
-
Engine oil for Sel first Edition 1.5 tsi
@OctaviaFirstEdit Did they say how much oil it needed, and where does it show on the dipstick if checked when cold without the engine being started? ? What did the say to top up with, was it VW508 00 so 0w 20 Full Synthetic IV ?

A warning
It is worth a reply here from @DAN@ADRIAN FLUX. In threads and article i have read, insurance claims can be higher on vehicles parked on driveways from damage from building, slates off roofs etc and more expensive cars on drives. Also more fraudulent claims of a higher value came from those that had vehicles parked on drives. Maybe an internet myth, but then an Insurance Company / Broker rep / employee should be able to confirm or deny.
