  1. Solid Blue or Metallic Blue or white, then the black or greys or red is as much as they need to offer for the UK. If you do not like them then no need to have one. When they need to get a vRS noticed they can do the Greens, Yellows or whatever.
  2. It is so basic that the spark plugs need removed and inspected, and the gap checked. Properly inspected. Then replaced. No point taking out and putting back. Spark Plugs have caused issues as far back as 2009 with the first SEAT Cupra Twin Chargers, and then on with the Fabia, Polo & A1. Why the type was changed, then the gap, and still the OEM plugs were guff. 1 plug fails. That could have been the issue in August 2018. ? When where the spark plugs that are in fitted, and what are they? How many miles back and how long ago.
  3. Aside from the possible battery or connection issue, what spark plugs did the car get over 2 years back and are they still in now?
  4. Welcome. First guess is a flat battery. Enough to open door and have interior light on but not to start the car.
  5. & HMRC that is very nice to them when getting a car they are keeping for 3 months / 3,000 miles for customers to see and drive, and not for a showroom or compound to be kept as new and to make even more profit than usual on. Lock Down will not be an excuse they will get away with. Suzuki Dealers were rather sick at have to hand over new Jimny's to new owners who had already sold on at a good profit. Some cars are just an easy profit maker if you can manage to order and receive them. The Yaris GR is a future classic, but if Toyota turn out many thousands then maybe not so valuable in the future is supply is greater than the demand.
  6. Toyota will not allow Toyota Dealers to sell a new car at the huge mark up. Selling a used one is a different matter as they might as well as a private buyer might well do the same. Then it has a former registered keeper. Is the car they are advertising one they got as a Demonstrator, or are they going to sell several 'New Cars' that they have received to be 'Demonstrators.
  7. @Tomsalmon Is this the Mk2 Fabia vRS? What is the story? Odds are an Oil Change will not fix it. There are 2 oils, MCU's and in the box. Here you did say which car. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/489307-gearbox
  8. @Jase_31 the search function is pretty good on Briskoda and there are various threads on ' coasting function'. It can use less fuel and have the car emit less emissions if you are able to use it. It is as simple on some journeys having it enabled and remembering to have your toe off the accelerator pedal. The best way to find out if it suits your journeys and driving style is to try using it. All you need do for reducing speed is tap the accelerator or drop a gear, even with a DSG and then your car is no longer coasting.
  9. @LA1Eboy Any update on the water retention in the doors, has it sorted the issue ? Another owner with the Characteristic Feature. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/489287-kamiq-driver-door-water-retention
  10. The 1.0 MPI is a 3 cylinder engine with no turbo that you can get in a Mk3 Fabia and it has 60ps. Here the 95ps.
  11. Welcome to the forum. Best contact them again and have a Trained Technician attempt to resolve the issue as others have had done. ? Does the passengers door not retain the water in the same way? That must be a characteristic feature deleted as a money saving measure! You are not alone in having The Characteristic'. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/483733-water-retention-in-doors It is a 'Simply Clever' feature that Skoda do not put in their advertising and that Motoring Journalist never notice when going to sunny places to drive the car at all inclusive launches.
  12. I am charging just now and it is just below freezing as it has been for a couple of weeks now other than when a few degrees above for a few hours at a time. So doing a 2 mile trip up to 8 or 10 times a day in town with 30 mph and 20 mph limits and with full heating on, heated seat and steering wheel on is giving 1 mile per 1% of charge in the battery. That means charging needed every few days. A couple of times on 3 pin charger at home as local chargers have been out of order. I have charged at home only for a short time to add some miles, but I really am too tight to spend a few extra quid on electricity. I changed from Octopus that I went over to and am with E-on now as they quoted me happy. Octopus was charging too high a tariff for my gas in the house.
  13. @AllanDJ do you know if you had a Fabia courtesy car with the 110ps engine which is the most powerful they do or a 95ps one? Often the courtesy car is a 95 ps model. Are you sure it was a TSI and not a 1.0MPI you had?
  14. Just not cheap purchase prices when specced to the bits and pieces as options and nice trim some want and they have no option on a bit more poke.
  15. @dijit I really think you should do things a bit differently. Your Warranty Started with the car being First Registered. You had best get things sorted out by the supplying dealership. They could have paid for an Approved Repairer so a Skoda Dealership to have things correct and you having a proper Full Service History for the future.
  16. @skoda1982 28psi is a lot of a drop before you get a warning. What did you have them at when the TPMS was set at, over 60psi?
  17. @DiljitHave you decided to do your own oil changes between the Service Intervals? Your car left the factory with 0w 20 Full Synthetic IV. so VW 508 00
  18. Welcome. While it is still Mk III Superbs the posts on the iV's are in that section.
  19. Sounds like a bargain if you want to drive up to your wind turbines and look at them in your £80,000 landy & think about the £250,000 each is of the windmills earn you a year.
  20. @fidelio Sorry not really as it might not and the 1.5 TSI & 1.0 TSI's might live on for ever with VW Group Recommended Long Life OIls. Or maybe many will go the way of some Euro 5 TSI's and have a not long life of Long Life Oil and Long Service Intervals between Oil & Filter changes. Make your own decisions and do what you want, and maybe trust the VW group, after all they are truthful and honest and always put the customers first.
  21. Ionity. Where there is proper Rapid Chargers at some locations for those that have vehicles that can take advantage of them. http://support.ionity.eu/en/general-questions/how-much-does-it-cost-to-charge-at-ionity http://drivingelectric.com/your-questions-answered/658/complete-guide-ionity-charging-network https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-news/101586/uk-s-first-350kw-ev-charging-station-opens-in-kent
  22. ChargePlace Scotland Free Chargers are 'Free' to charge at. You buy a £20 card for a year to tap in and out. Some councils are now charging to use ChargePlace Scotland Chargers when they are located on Council Property. https://chargeplacescotland.org/ev-driver http://chargeplacescotland.org/news I have done over 5,000 miles using ChargePlace Scotland chargers and paid only the £20. There will be places i use that will now cost me to charge @ in 2021 but not yet in my council area.
  23. @J.R. If someones arse is on the heated screen then they will other things on their mind. Head for thinking, feet for dancing and if people want hot pants they would buy some. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/417427-heated-seats-a-burning-issue http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/334218-vrs-heated-seats-recall
  24. If it becomes common on 3 to 4 year old cars it will become a Safety Critical recall matter so maybe Skoda UK need to think on. They got away with the very dangerous failures with Mk 2 Fabias and just doing a Service Campaign which left dangerous cars with owners.
  25. It looks like one for someone in the trade or a DIY'er that has previous experience and the tools to do the work or with mates rates from those that have.
