  1. @1 min 33 seconds of the first vid he says what the platform is. With 10 years of the Leaf in production surely Nissan know there stuff & if not they are stuffed.
  2. They show to rim / tyre centre.
  3. @PhilMacInnes Welcome. You want to check that you can get all the wheels off if you get a puncture so you might as well take a wheel off and try it in the spare tyre well. As it is the wheel off the car might need carried in the spare tyre well if the car and boot are full. Needs to go in with the tyre inflated or with some air out...
  4. Simple enough to just flip them on their roof and let a Police Examiner and loss adjuster give them a good inspection.
  5. Welcome. 10 litres of fuel @hand over, maybe 15 if lucky. No mats unless they are a standard fit from the factory or you are buying mats.
  6. @peterhardy I just need to not get any points on my license in the next 3 years, so 'mostly' in ECO for me, A/C off, stick in 'B' and not even risking it for a biscuit on the most out of the way mountain passes with miles of views. Heated seats and steering wheel will be a help in colder weather, but then i don't need to drive an EV if proper wintery.
  7. @peterhardy My car will never be raced or rallied. Well not on the public highway and only on the Parallel Universe that other Boy / Lady Racers on this forum drive on where NSL's do not apply. I might do the occasional 'Traffic Light grand prix' or grand pric-ks. The early vehicles that i got a wee shotty of had Michelin PS4's fitted, but the Primacy that the cars come with are being put away until they go back on at hand back. ? Have you tried your car with 'Traction control off'?
  8. @shyVRS245 I leased from Motability the more expensive e-Corsa with the cloak of invisibility and no show without more go as in the Peugeot e-208 GT (not GT Line which is cheaper.) Advance payments have changed 3 times in the past 3 quarters, i have ended up paying more because the price at order is fixed, but now if i ordered one it would be £900 less. (It was a 11kW onboard charger one i ordered, but these are not built yet so i had to re-order.) Loads of bargains available now with Motability for EV's, but diesels and hybrids advance payments are up quite high. The e-Corsa drives different to the e-208 and has more standard spec and no silly dash, steering wheel and un-comfy light coloured seats. All that glitters is not gold it can be a diamond in a goats arse. I have driven most of the available EV's now, and the e-2008 & DS3 e-tense included and got what i was wanting, but i could really of chosen any of the many under £40,000 EV's that are available. I want for the fun to drive one that will allow me to do 400 miles or so with just 1 rapid charge during a day.
  9. Bloody noisy for a quiet car. & hand brake turns with a e-Brake as standard on PSA EV's are not advised. Coming to a Krispy Kreme / KFC carpark sometime soon after people catch on to the Lease Prices and the Demonstrators are up for cheap finance. Then in 2 or 3 years time the Lease & Mobility cars will be going back to the motor trade and will be cheap as chips.
  10. 6 year interest free loans in Scotland on EV's from the Government. Nothing is free, tax payers are paying towards it. As they are towards many things. Free Rapid Charging as well. (Not the Free Fast (slow) charge at Supermarkets at Charge points all around Scotland, http://chargeplacescotland.org It is nice not paying to get miles of smiles. If a quick charge is required at Instavolt is cheap enough. Well other than in taxation, just like everything is paid for by really.
  11. @peterhardy Have you looked at https://www.octopusev.com/eo for an energy provider, or the Tariff for EV charging with SSE.
  12. Welcome. Maybe have a look at others projects in the Fabia Project Section. eg http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/471644-tech1e's-'new'-fabia-slayer
  13. @horkin All Motability cars at the end of lease get returned to Dealerships, but they go to BCA (British Car Auctions) If they have Ex Motability cars coming in then they put an offer in and bought them, and not necessarily will have cars they supplied or serviced.
  14. Yes the ASG is a single clutch Automated Manual so the Automated-Shift Gearbox, rather than a twin clutch DSG. Direct-Shift Gearbox.
  15. This is a Ferrari that i could happily live with.
  16. If the Service Plan is for 2 services at Fixed Service Intervals then you do need to use it or lose it. @ 2 years old they will have called that last service a Major Service and the Pollen Filter should have been changed then. Was it? Now not much is getting done, but if any matters arise then maybe they are covered under warranty. Was March 2019 the first and only Service, was the car not in around August 2018 so a Service Plan with 2 fixed services?
  17. 'Service Plans' did not include Brake Fluid Changes. (£60 at a service) or DSG / Haldex Oil changes. There are new Skoda Bespoke 'Service Plans' that cover various things and are at various prices.
  18. Actually they are now called an 'Oil and Inspection service'. (The '£99 Oil Service' offer was scrapped over a year ago. ) They were called Interim services for a couple of years after changed from being a 'Minor Service' & then a 'Major Service'. & the 'Extended Scope Inspection' can be added to the Oil & Inspection Service. Those not on a Service Plan will be paying for the Consumables that are fiited. Those on a Service Plan should check just what they will actually replace at a Service. ie, Spark Plugs or Fuel Filter, Pollen Filter, Air Filter. They might say not due for replacement according to the Schedule / Guidelines.
  19. Has the car had inspections carried out since last March and do you want to leave that for another winter / year before looked at other than getting a MOT? The recommended brake fluid change is at 3 years then every 2 years. You can ignore that if you want or maybe your husband can check the brake fluid to see what H20 content might be. ? What miles had the car done when serviced last March? Maybe the Service indicator was not reset from the Variable / Flexible service interval of 24 months / 18,000-20,000 miles. If reset to Fixed service last March that would have been 9,400 miles / 372 days, which ever comes first. http://volkswagen.co.uk/owners/servicing/regimes
  20. @Godfrey Is that the neutral position switch? The car is under warranty if under 3 years old, it could possibly cost you nothing if a premature failure due to a design, materials, or manufacturing fault. Do not be too keen to go paying for a diagnosis and then the part and labour/VAT.
  21. VW Group have done 1.2 cc petrol engines long enough now in Euro 5 & Euro 6 and discontinued them. N/A and Turbo and just so so. 110 ps max, but they have done 60,70,75,90,105 & 110ps and now they are no more. If someone wants a 1.2PSA engine vehicle they are there to be bought in various Peugeot, Opel / Vauxhall, Citroen / DS. Or Suzuki, Honda, Kia / Hyundai or just anyone. But then they are now having to go mild hybrid as well now. Wishing for better from VW is just a waste of time, they are going light hybrid with their small capacity turbo petrol engines now simply because the biggest car manufacturer in the world builds so so ebgines. Simple 1.2 n/a engines are not a bad thing to have if you do want a small VW vehicle & now a 1.0 litre n/a engine.
  22. If a cars standard wheel does not fit in the spare wheel well with the tyre inflated or partially inflated then the car is not fit for purpose. If you are travelling with a full car and boot and get a puncture and unload your boot, get the spare out and fit it, you want to put the punctured tyre / wheel someplace and that someplace is in the spare tyre well. So best check as usually the cars standard wheel / tyre will go in the spare tyre well.
