  1. It was the farty noise that i was referring to at the times you accelerated that were new to me, from a car with a TSI i mean, farting i hear plenty of.
  2. ? Are they not a Skoda Main Dealer participating in 'Skoda Fixed Price' Servicing and maintenance? 15 minute road test and time to look see all in 30 minutes, £60 if really they are going to charge.
  3. Never heard similar really with any car with a DSG, 1.0,1.2,1.4,1.5,1.8 or 2.0 TSI's.
  4. Employees at that Dealership need training or retraining or actually the boot. That will be the person that accepted the car off the transporter, the technician or fitter that did the PDI, the person that did the polishing for the handover, the salesperson and the muppet that told the OP 'this is how it is'. It is how it is, actually terrible. Best find out if they are saying 'As left the factory', or 'as is after transit damage repair carried out'.
  5. @Mikegm Welcome. Your car also has SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction), so that means it uses AdBlue. Best read your owners manual. Available at some filling stations @ AdBlue pumps. Also in containers. Goes into the AdBlue tank in the car, not the fuel tank. Just to give you the idea.
  6. Welcome to the forum. But then anything is possible if you have all the skills or the money to hire someone that has. ? How badly damaged is the 2019 that the engine, gearbox, wiring, ECU etc etc etc is coming out of?
  7. Surely they have NI & PAYE or Self Cert, pay Council Tax, VAT etc, unless totally illegal, so pay for the roads, pavements and emissions / pollution even if they use no planes, trains or automobiles, but then those 'renting' e-scooters are now going to have to have a 'Driving Licence' according to the DfT.

  9. 'They' are all getting the same car to drive, so time will tell how that car lasts... Still waiting for any to mention if they checked the tyre pressures before commenting on the handling. Plus the pressure will affect the range, like putting people and stuff in the car. (No 11kW charger available yet, or maybe they would be getting to drive one.)
  10. The issue was not de-tuning as the 150PS were great, including that in 2012. The issue was taking them to 160ps & 180ps (185ps with a Audi A1) with the inlet manifold they used, the injectors, oil spray jets, breathers and the consumables like the spark plugs 2009-2011 then 2011 on. Plus the bl00dy mindedness of VW Group that failed to admit issues but discontinue the engine in 2012 for a change of engine management and some bits and still not nail it.
  11. @vtxracer It was a Media / Press car, i knew they had Super unleaded in it and i put more in. A 'twincharger'. It went very well. http://evo.co.uk/seat/ibiza/7142/seat-ibiza-fr-review The Reg Number of the one in the picture is showing it as 1,197cc This was not the one i drove it was blue.
  12. The track rod ends was an issue that had a TPI covering them and that meant people had that dealt with while under warranty way back. Not all got done. If the car is not right now then unlikely The Fix will get done and you getting a 24 month peace of mind guarantee on possible issues. Then reversed and mapped you are just back where you are now. ? How many miles has your car covered?
  13. @vtxracer Did you have it on the dyno before remapping? I drove a new one in 2012 when SEAT had stopped building the CAVE engine Ibiza and i had ordered a CTHE one for delivery in 2013. The 1.4TSI 150PS with DSG was as quick as a 180ps CAVE engine vRS. I suspected that SEAT had them producing more as they tried the new engine management.
  14. Fitting good tyres / All Weather tyres would be money well spent! Stuff the affect they might have on range.
  15. Skoda needs to get the Average Co2 g/km low and the WLTP / RDE2 figures where they want them so are going to offer the cars that can get the results under the tests so what they can offer is limited or they will have to pay the cost of the high emission vehicles, even if in the real world they are no high emission emitting. So DSG's. Light Hybrids, Plug in Hybrids and eventually EV's.
  16. I am driving a demonstrator currently, had it for the past week. Sales cars can be road tested alone or with a salesperson even in Scotland. I have driven them, and am used to TSI's with DSG's and TDI's with TDI's. There should be no unusual noises, but a petrol turbo and diesel turbo will sound different and a dry clutch DSG and a wet clutch feel different, and different on a petrol or diesel. As to what people can hear, that varies. Since an ex Management Car / Demonstrator i would be sure they check out any noises. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/479014-service-regime-change-or-not-for-approved-used-karoq
  17. Ask the dealership ahead of the Service to have a car the same as yours to try when your car is being serviced and see what you think about the noise of that one. Or even try one before your car goes in. You let your oil level get pretty low it seems for an engine with not a big oil capacity. ? Did you use VW508 to top up with?
  18. Stone cold on the flat the oil should be near the top of the crosshatch. At operating temp and stopped a few minutes maybe the oil will show a little lower. Half way up the cross hatch after topping up would have meant the oil was pretty low. ? When was it checked last? ? When were the tyre pressures checked / set and the TPMS reset? ?? Did you top up with VW508/509 so 0w 20 FS IV? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/470119-check-oil-warning-query
  19. @vtxracer Welcome to the forum. Is your Ibiza FR one that has a 1.4TSI that is 150ps as standard and remapped to 200hp?
  20. Your oil should be checked at Normal Operating temperature, checked on the flat after a few minutes. So check it when you get someplace, maybe after at least 10 miles of driving, maybe in a filling station. If you check after arriving someplace, then you could check again where that is when cold so you compare the difference if any between a cold check and an at normal operating temp. If you have noises that you think are not as the car should sound then report them ASAP, and be sure a Master Tech or Tech are going to drive your car to road test and not just a Salesperson.
  21. @jamesy There is no 'nox recall' as such just the VW Fix which you maybe best swerve as 'Voluntary' and for their benefit not yours. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions
  22. Guest_ replied to Ryeman's topic in Electric Vehicles
Michelin Pilot Sport and the (staggered) wide rear 17's are going to make a difference.
  23. Some DQ200 7 speed twin dry clutch DSG's are part of a 'Recall action / Service Campaign, Skoda Secret Service campaign type thing. '34H5'. So ones from 2013-2015 might benefit from the Software Update that was started as a preventative measure. This is not just with the Octavia, it can be and VW Group vehicle from 2013-2015. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions
  24. @UrbanPanzer I have the UK brochures from each year, it is not that difficult, they were not an option in the UK. But buy them and a dealer might stick them on, like they would fit mudguards. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/177587-official-briskoda-fabia-ii-vrs-register http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/186943-the-fabia-vrs-review-and-photo-thread
  25. Black Pack or not they were not a factory fit or dealer option on Mk2 Fabia vRS 2010-2014 in the UK or any country.. You just buy them and apply.
