Eight years ago now, my then vRS had to have new brake discs at under 18k miles. It happens, frustrating as that may be. You're still in a position where you should end up with a very good car, that you'll be very happy with 👍 Gaz

I think you're right in your considerations. Perhaps give them a chance to remedy the issues, but certainly make your dissatisfaction known. You won't be the first, nor last, to put faith in the Approved used flag of 'trust us-it's great'. Surely not! I can see brake shudder not showing itself on a short test drive. Hopefully it'll be acknowledged, and remedial work undertaken. I personally wouldn't stand any messing around though - keep rejection in mind. Gaz

Hello Milo I had a 1999 110TDI VW Passat estate, so very similar, which I passed on to a friend. I wish I could go back to 2011, give myself a clip around the ear, tell my younger(ish) self to not be a dimwit and to hang on to what was a bloody good car! 🙄 My Son did a stint with PGL, here in the UK. It didn't last very long. Being enthusiastic, and then sustaining it, wasn't his strongest trait. C'est la vie. Gaz

Likewise If the tyre referred to is the front one we can see in the photo's, from what little I can see of it, it looks intact and does not appear to have left the rim. Without knowing other circumstances or factors, it's unfortunate the car couldn't be brought to a controlled stop on what looks to be a good road. I don't know how insurance works in India, but in the UK I wouldn't expect Third Party insurance to cover the repair, or more likely write-off. Gaz

Late to the party, but just to say we have the same DQ200 DSG in our Polo. We've had the car seven years, it's at 51,000 miles, the DSG has not been serviced (nor will it be) and has been faultless throughout. Gaz
