  1. Welcome back Stewart Having a Yeti 4x4 is an itch I've still not yet scratched. Would've had one four years ago, but got dicked about by a Skoda salesperson, so I walked, and bought a GTI instead. Gaz
  2. Saw my first '23 plate Skoda today on the M40: I like it, and the colour choice 😎 Gaz
  3. Good morning Predrag and welcome to Brisky Gaz
  4. If it's saveable (and it looks like it is 😎), can I just point out the good money Mk1 & Mk2 Escorts are fetching these days. Last Mk1 I bought was £150, and that I scrapped it because they were 1) two a penny and 2) I couldn't be bothered with it makes my hindsight muscle have palpitations Same as for the FIAT 131 listed at Silverstone recently with a £45k (?) start. Just sayin' Gaz
  5. Abso-blooming-lutely, and I still don't completely understand it. I get the Grandfather rights bit. But then can I buy a pre 2016 bike, gradually replace everything and still have a grandfather rights e-bike? It seems there isn't a definitive answer to this question And the new (i.e. post 2016) Wisper e-bikes can be specced, bought and used with a full (15.5mph) throttle. How does that work then? I know David Miall knows his stuff and put a lot of work and effort into this, so I've no doubt about its legitimacy, and the DVSA approval : Gaz
  6. Without anything to suggest otherwise, they appear to be dithering and dragging their feet. I think if it were me I'd be telling them as such, that the time it has taken so far to resolve two fairly routine issues is unacceptable, and you are of a mind to reject the car, as it's pointless having a car you can't use. Maybe have a chat with your local Trading Standards, to talk through your options. Gaz
  7. Not necessarily, if the Grandfather rights apply: https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/electric-bike-guides/uk-electric-bike-law/ We've now had two with a 'full' throttle that can be ridden quite legally. I've a feeling David at Amps has managed to get some of the new Wisper bikes type approved for throttle use: https://wisperbikes.com/shop/e-bikes/crossbar-ebikes/tailwind-comfort-crossbar/ Gaz
  8. Hello Andriy Gaz
  9. I've always liked the Honda's I've had 👍 Never had a Type R though - yet: Gaz
  10. Moral of the story seems to be you need 88% battery for the full beans, but mustn't charge it above 80% 🤨 And buy a Kia instead Gaz
  11. Have you left the plastic sticker on the battery? Not sayin' how I know this can be an issue EDIT: scratch that, just read your post properly. Try another battery perhaps? Gaz
  12. Yep, I've had a couple of these give up over the years 🙄 The last one being on the rear window of my very last CRX Del Sol. When stripped, the clip hadn't so much as broken as decomposed to a powder like quality that I could break up quite easily by hand. I'd say that was a good thing, but it's still small bits of plastic. Gaz
  13. Don't, as if it wasn't bad enough that I was salivating, you've got my back leg twitching now Meant to say earlier that I agree with Pete about the lovely photos. Temperature bong made me chuckle - think we've all been there. G
  14. Cool 👍😎 I can be reeeaaallyyy well behaved for a sausage roll 😇 Gaz

Hello and welcome aw Agree with varooom's sentiment, although I think my 110AFN (i.e. pre-PD) was bulletproofer 😇 (that's a real word, honest it is) If I was flexible enough, I'd still kick myself to this day! Gaz

Hello LR - from just over the hill My last vRS was Sprint Yellow 😎 Great colour and never had any trouble finding it Gaz
  17. G'day Stu I got my vRS in 2015 too. Moved it on in 2019, but did enjoy ownership 👍 Gaz
  18. Hello and welcome Jim I'm not sure whether to be impressed, or disconcerted, that our Ryan tracked you down while on holiday. His tentacles obviously have a long reach! 🤣 Gotta love a Mk1 vRS. Gaz
  19. I'd have thought if you can demonstrate that the photo's were taken outside of the average speed measuring area, then you have a question to be answered, as you could've been doing 70mph (presumably) at these points, which would increase your 'average' speed if the average speed zone is a shorter distance. Having said that I can't help but feel I'm missing something. I'd be taking a photo of the 'Not in use' cameras if it were me. Gaz
  20. I know they're not the same cars, but Mrs (the pothole queen) Gaz's Polo GTI (45k miles) had to have a new NSF spring. We only went for one spring instead of a pair. I can't notice any difference, and although I've done axle pairs before on other cars, I wouldn't bother again. As long as it's identical and the remaining spring isn't in a state that makes it stupid not to while you're at it. G
  21. The WRN lives!! 👍😎 Don't they know, the rear exhaust has to have a hole in it? 🙄 Methinks they're getting lazy and too used to MOT'ing EV's rather than proper cars 😁 Not a bad fail, all told. Bit o' DIY'ing to keep you entertained. Gaz
  22. I too didn't like the sound actuator at 100%. Had mine turned down to 30% which seemed to be a good compromise. Gaz
  23. My tale of woe from a couple of years ago, in case there's something else going on: Gaz
