  5. There are multiple threads on the Coolant tank and silica bag. E.g.: Gaz

    Hello Luke, welcome along Gaz
  7. Didn't want to disturb Mrs Tiggywinkle too much, but she's welcome to makes as much noise as she likes munching and slurping on the slugs in our garden:
  8. Hello Greg and co. I started off in a Superb MK1. Great car of it’s time. Gaz
  9. Thumbs up 👍 for Tyre City in Eastbourne. Had to purchase online to get the right price, but once I'd pointed out I was prissy about my alloys, the chap explained what they'd do to ensure the wheels were not marked and they were true to their word. My alloys left the centre in the same condition they went in. Gaz
  10. This freeloader's been on my car for three days now. Reckon I'm safe as most Caterpillars run on diesel (so far as I'm aware):
  11. Hello Alessandro I drove down to northern Italy the year before last, staying up in the mountains (Madonna di Campiglio), Salo, Bergamo and Lonato del Garda (where my Wife's Granddad was born). Beautiful part of the world Gaz
  12. Hello and welcome Mike Gaz
  13. Hello Jay, welcome aboard Gaz
  14. Hello Charlie Dorset's my favourite County We like to escape to just north of Bridport when times allow. Not sure what we'll do now though as our favourite B&B has closed due to the poxy Pandemic, n'er to re-open 😧 I can see myself retiring to Dorset. Gaz
  15. Tenacious Tape maybe? I bought some to repair the pocket in a cycling jacket and it'll undoubtedly outlast the jacket. Be warned that it lives up to its name. Measure lots, once it's on it doesn't want to come off. Gaz
  16. I still can't quite get my head around knowledge that is less than zero 🤔 I've a nicely weathered jerry can that it my time has had diesel, petrol, two-stroke and paraffin in it, with no adverse effects. It's a great can, very useful. Inherited it (well stole it really) from my Dad, and knowing him I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's had tea, coffee, squash or god knows what else in it in its lifetime. Certainly wouldn't trouble me switching it between contents of diesel or petrol. Gaz
  17. One would hope they're correct, but minor changes in tyre pressure can make a difference. My 2015 vRS was certainly firm on the suspension front. Changing to PS4's from the Bridgestone's it came on made a marked improvement. Might be worth checking the transport blocks aren't still in place - sounds daft but it won't be the first time they've been discovered years down the road. Gaz
  18. Hello and welcome Josip Gaz
  19. Hello H&S Gaz
  20. Hello Bally Gaz
  21. Really? Think you'll find if it's not a manual, and not a 2.0 (Petrol or Diesel), then the DQ200 is one of the most common DSG's in Octavia's from 2014. Our 1.8 Polo has the DQ200. It's worth a search on here, for threads on failing DQ200's. @e-Roottoot might have some useful pointers/info on '34H5' and '34F7' which may be relevant to this car. Gaz
  22. I was wrong in thinking it was the same model, but the Duster gets a good write up in this week's Express too. Positive nod to LPG as well:
