Tenacious Tape maybe? I bought some to repair the pocket in a cycling jacket and it'll undoubtedly outlast the jacket. Be warned that it lives up to its name. Measure lots, once it's on it doesn't want to come off. Gaz

I still can't quite get my head around knowledge that is less than zero 🤔 I've a nicely weathered jerry can that it my time has had diesel, petrol, two-stroke and paraffin in it, with no adverse effects. It's a great can, very useful. Inherited it (well stole it really) from my Dad, and knowing him I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's had tea, coffee, squash or god knows what else in it in its lifetime. Certainly wouldn't trouble me switching it between contents of diesel or petrol. Gaz

One would hope they're correct, but minor changes in tyre pressure can make a difference. My 2015 vRS was certainly firm on the suspension front. Changing to PS4's from the Bridgestone's it came on made a marked improvement. Might be worth checking the transport blocks aren't still in place - sounds daft but it won't be the first time they've been discovered years down the road. Gaz

Really? Think you'll find if it's not a manual, and not a 2.0 (Petrol or Diesel), then the DQ200 is one of the most common DSG's in Octavia's from 2014. Our 1.8 Polo has the DQ200. It's worth a search on here, for threads on failing DQ200's. @e-Roottoot might have some useful pointers/info on '34H5' and '34F7' which may be relevant to this car. Gaz

Likely to be TSI rather than TFSI. So your engine is most likely the EA888 Gen 3, and the DQ250 DSG. How long have you had it Rodders - is it still under any warranty? The DQ250 is a robust unit, but if you're concerned, have it checked out. A stitch in time and all that.... I have the same drive train in my GTI, and the vRS before it. Neither have done what you describe. Gaz

Coolant check valve is a (IIRC) £500 unit that controls coolant flow for initial warm up. It can shut a cooling circuit that includes the matrix and (unfortunately for me) the turbo. My hoses were stone cold, but the valve was reporting itself to be open, when it was not. If the coolant pipes to your matrix are warmed, then I'd suggest the CCV is probably operating normally. If you've heat getting to the matrix, but no heat coming into the cabin, it'd seem to suggest an airflow management problem. Has it been scanned for further faults? I'm now wondering if something's either not connected, or seized, stopping airflow from, or to, the matrix itself. Gaz

System bled, so presumably not an airlock in the matrix? Do the flow and return pipes to the matrix get warm? Coolant check valve? (caused the untimely turbo failure on my vRS - first symptom was no heat in the cabin). Gaz
