  1. Carts returned, refund received, original ordered, arrived today. In, working and tickety boo 👍 Gaz
  2. Nope, it's not having it. Even applying far more force than I want to. So they're going back for a refund. Seller doesn't want the black one back so I might butcher it with my friend Stanley just for interest sake. Lesson learned 🙄 Gaz
  3. I like it with peanut butter on toast (don't knock it if you ain't tried it), and of course on roast 'snips or gammon, but I'm far from a regular consumer. My Mum insisted local honey would improve my resilience to hay fever, so I had it every day in my teens. Didn't make diddly squat difference so far as I was concerned. Gaz
  4. I was just thinking the same - mine was an MIB1 Amundsen in a 2015 vRS. Haven't had the vRS for nigh on three years now, otherwise I'd go and take a pic. Gaz Edit: Well I'm blowed - found a pic of mine from 2015;
  5. Your powers of observation continue to serve you well. I've just heard back from the seller who's 'confident' these are compatible and has sold them to other XP8600 users. They apparently need a bit more pressure applied for them to lock into place. As someone with many decades of experience in being ham fisted, I'm conscious of not overdoing it, but will give it another go in the morning. Gaz
  6. Thanks Mike. The small PCB on the compatible one is offset to the left too, whereas it's central on the OEM one 🙄 Gaz
  7. I bought a set of compatible ink carts from eBay for our Epson XP-8600. Bought from a seller of 15,000+ feedback, and 100% positive, so felt fairly confident. The point at which the locking tab on the printer engages is significantly different, and it won't latch in no matter any amount of fiddling or fettling. The compatible cart, on the left has a semi circle of additional plastic that the OEM one doesn't and the blue locking pin butts up against it and therefore cannot locate. I can't see what else to do other than return them, or carve them up so they resemble the OEM shape. Just wondered if I'm doing something wrong or if anyone has any tips or tricks?: Gaz
  8. Hello Pete I arrived here because of a 2.5 V6 Mk1 Superb, which was a great car 😎 Sounds like you're having the same experience 👍 Gaz
  9. A number of possibilities on this one. If everything’s free and moving at the callipers, I’d be wondering about water in, or a fault at, the brake servo, or a problem with the master cylinder. A scan for codes might be useful. When it’s seized up, are the brake lights on? Gaz
  10. Got my first bong this afternoon on the way out for petrol. Momentum - £1.55 a litre now 😲 Gaz
  11. I agree Mick, looking again, it's way too small for a Goshawk. Gaz
  12. Looks like a Goshawk to me. Gaz
  13. Hello and welcome Eudes You must be one of more remote members! Gaz
  14. I like this thread for its nice little trip down memory lane 😎 It's just answered my question to Mrs Gaz last night of 'When was it we went to north Wales?' (2016). And a post from Andy (Auric) being his usual 😄 Gaz
  15. Must admit, I thought 391 mobility scooters available was a bit frivolous too 😇 G
  16. Maybe it's to provide downforce 🙄 Conversely it seems (to me) that front mudguards often seem short and flick muck up higher as a result. Gaz
  17. If Ashford Skoda hadn’t been dicks three years ago, I’d be in a L&K Yeti now and not a Golf GTI 🙄 G
  18. Hello and welcome Boltby I've still got a hankering for a Yeti. Gaz
  19. I must come and visit your planet sometime PP 😁 Gaz
  20. NZ spec. - some seals fitted after the car went upside down? Gaz
  21. Hello Ryan You should notice a slight improvement in fuel economy! Gaz
  22. However many acres it took to produce the 130 or so litres (rough guess) of petrol I'd need. I'd better start saving/planting..... this planet saving malarkey looks like it's gonna get expensive 🙄 Gaz
  23. West coast, St Phillans, just north of Largs. Couldn't pop round with a watering can could you? - there's a burn nearby. No taking any cuttings yet mind Gaz
