  5. Manual, petrol. I'm with you on the press every button and get on the floor (with a torch): https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202011126055897?postcode=bn213uu&year-from=2007&keywords=vRS&model=OCTAVIA&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=New&sort=relevance&include-delivery-option=on&body-type=Estate&year-to=2008&make=SKODA&advertising-location=at_cars&radius=1501&page=1 Wonder what 'Rekotw Centeal Lockinng' is Gaz
  6. As skodavia has said, if you think the pressurisation is any more than normal coolant expansion, then it might be time to arrange a sniff test to confirm or exclude HG failure. If it is compromised then any pressurisation from the combustion process is likely to add to any air lock woes. Gaz
  7. Hello from a partially sunny East Sussex Gaz
  8. Mine went back for warranty work on suspension creaks, which resolved the noises being made. G
  9. Brakes would be my initial guess. Bit of lateral pressure changing the pads contact. Can you make the noise happen? If so and you have a manual handbrake, it might be worth gently applying the handbrake while in motion to see if that alters the noise. Only if you can do it safely. If it's not rotational then it could be suspension bushes/components creaking. Either way, it's worth having it checked - a stitch in time.... It's also worth carrying out a visual inspection in case it's something obvious. A friend once had a strange noise from the rear of her TT. A quick look revealed a rather obvious 4' branch caught under the car! Gaz

Bonjour s16206 Shame to get rid of what looks to be a nice Yeti, but needs must, I suppose. Gaz
  11. Hello AJFW, welcome aboard Gaz
  12. Good enough for me I've just been out and oiked my silikat bag out. Needed point nosed pliers to gently manoeuvre it to a portrait style vertical position, but then it came out with ease. I'd be surprised if it took more that a minute, all in. Bag was thankfully intact and undamaged. Gaz
  13. Hello WW, welcome aboard Gaz

  15. Hello and welcome Dave Your user name seems familiar, but I can't place it. Gaz
  16. Hello Chee, greetings from t'other side of the planet Gaz
  17. As an armchair observer, this would be enough to take the white one off any shortlist I had. G
  18. What's the rust on the roof and where is it? If it's anything other than easily repaired stone chips, that'd bother me. Sounds like the off-road functionality is more important to you than colour choice, all others things being equal? Gaz
  19. Have you tried a re-callibration?: Gaz
  20. I was advised by VW to NOT remove the Silikat bag from my 2018 Golf GTI, as I'd be voiding the warranty. They confirmed any failure would therefore be covered. My warranty expires next March and the bag will be removed shortly thereafter. Gaz
  21. Hello Howard In case it may help: Gaz
  22. Kudos for running in freezing fog - keep it up Mac! I reckon I might be able to pace you, on my mobility scooter But having said that I was going out, but just noticed it's now raining, so I've suddenly come over all bantamweight and put the kettle on Gaz
