No, you can do it yourself if you have a modicum of IT skills. There are numerous postings on how to do it on this forum.

Apple CarPlay with ios18 / iPhone 15
You need to make sure your firmware is on the latest version. For example on the Bolero and Amusdem MIB2.5 systems, version 0480 had numerous fixes to make Apple devices work correctly.

Dpf questions
Cleaning on the Octavias is relatively easy. Take it to a specialist DPF cleaner (don't use chemicals) and they can take it apart and flush out the DPF.

Skoda octavia 1.6 tdi manual transmission 2015
It is highly unlikely that you need a new gearbox unless you've lost all the oil and driven it hard with no oil. So...find a proper VW specialist, get their expert opinion and get the main seal fixed.

Flashing spiral and yellow engine error with codes P308D and P3043 power train
P3043 is a faulty fuel pump. P308D is also associated with the fuel pump and the car has gone into reduced power to cope with lack of fuel delivery.

If it's a PCV valve then the car will throw an error. Any chance you can get a scan done?

If you look at the top of this group, you will find a list of tweaks to the coding that are known to work.

Tips on how to make my Pre-Facelift Mk3 Octavia look better?
Some suggestions. 1) Suggest cleaning up the headlights with headlight restoration preparation. 2) Do full LED upgrades on headlights, indicators, tail light bulbs (in most cases will require some minor coding tweaks) 3) Get a set of dynamic (Audi style) mirror repeaters to replace existing repeaters. 4) Depending on hardware installed in your car, you can enable up a whole load of extra functionality in your car.

Help needed for potential buyer.
>My first choice was 2.0 diesel because the >1.6 has been reported as having injector >issues. How common is this? 2.0 are hard >to find in our price bracket. My sister has >the 1.0 petrol and thinks it’s good but >would it have the power I need. A 2.0 TDI will be best and most relaxed for longer journeys. If power isn't your thing, then a TDI150 is perfect. Suggest a car with an EVO150 engine (post 2018/2019) as they are better engines. There are usually loads of Combi's /Estates with this combination. Especially in SE or SE-L specification.

Adblue fun
With Ad-Blue, the sensors and the pump will eventually fail especially if the level of Ad-Blue is always low in its tank and you experience lots of hot days. Suggest some ad blue cleaner occasionally. Rough idle on my 2014 VRS TSI 162kw DSG
What are the misfire counters like?

Rough idle on my 2014 VRS TSI 162kw DSG
What is the mileage of the vehicle? Intermittent rough running would be something like: spark plugs or the coils breaking down when getting warm. Check out the misfire counters; if you have a high number of misfires, then its time to look at new sparkplugs and coils (all 4). If the crank position sensor is failing, then it should show up a fault or there was an issue with the O2 sensors, again a fault would be shown. Typically, every change sparkplugs every 50k miles/84k kms depending on driving style and definitely replace coils every 100k miles/160k kms.

MIB1 Amundsen. radio
Possibly the screen on its way out. This does happen with MIB1 screens. Consider going for an MIB2 screen as a drop-in replacement. Asked @pab567 for further information.

Intermittent starting.
Probably the starter motor in the case or the solanoid that operates the starter. Get a code scan do to confirm.

parking sensors
Sounds like somebody has coded them out.

Databus error
Did you code in the battery? Okay - so if you are stuck in gear, there is a release mechanism (look in the manual) on how to release the gearbox if its stuck in Drive/Reverse. What we haven't had is a proper scan. All the previous symptoms fitted a failed battery. It could be the mechatronics unit that has failed, in which case - go speak with Darkside Developments and get a replacement board. https://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/0am-dq200-dsg-7-speed-mechatronic-repair-kit-2010-onwards.html

FL Headlight Water Marks?
Normal - that's water via the breather pipes. It will dissipate after a while.

Estate boot storage?
oh - lots of options there. If you've not found it, I suggest you go Google and search for https://www.kopacek.com/ and look at the skoda branded storage solutions they have in stock. For example: https://www.kopacek.com/skoda/skoda-merchandise/new-official-skoda-2017-collection-simply-clever-cargo-trunk-folding-bag-carrier-box simple storage box is a good start. I have that - very useful.

VRS Brake Discs & Pads
I suggest that you go for the standard Brembo/Golf R type discs and pads in that case of the same year. They had 292bhp at the crank. Modern Golf 8 R models are 320bhp these days.

MK3 Octavia VRS Starting Problems
Definitely a voltage supply problem. Would check some of the big fuses near the battery and check connections first.
