Digital Skoda Service Records
of course, the quickest way forward is that you phone up your local Skoda dealer and get them to PDF / email you the digital service record. They should do that for free.

MPG dropped
Excessive oil comsumption is usually two things on VAG cars: 1) Piston rings are worn / sticking and potentially if the car has lacked maintainance, then cylinder scoring is fairly terminal (unless you get the cylinder liners redone). Lets hope not. 2) Cylinder Head Gasket has failed - however, this will also cause pressurisation in the coolant system. Quick test - start the car and open up the lid of the coolant tank (when the car is cool otherwise scolding will occur) and see if there is pressure being pushed into the coolant tank (a good indicator will be bubbles in the coolant header tank). If so, highly likely the cylinder head gasket has failed. In all this, its REALLY important that you get this sorted above everything else. Otherwise you will just end up with a block DPF and a broken engine.

Boost Actuator voltage
Daffy question - did you replace it with a proper OEM or good quality product?

Upgrade to 9.2" mib 2.5 from bolero ?
You will need RoW maps and select your reason as appropriate on Amunsden (unless you have a larger SD card) or Columbus - download RoW maps (its a big file)

Skoda Octavia 2010 1.6 TDI
What has happened? Do you have a split pipe? I would need to check, but I'm sure that the pipes had colour flashes on them which matched up with the colours on the filter, but I'll need to check this.

Skoda Suspension
Have you check the top mount bushings and that the top mounts are torqued up correctly? Please also check the ball joints. Any excessive lateral movement in the suspension will cause the drop-links to fail and if they've snapped, that must have been a LOT of movement. Biggest concern is now the top mounts are now worn.

What Do We Think?
I don't think you will be able to tell unless you are under the car. Things to check include: Sway-Bar and link and the steering rack aren't bent. Check that the wishbones are straight/true as well. If the car has been clobbered on one side, the force may bend the various different components which may also wear the bushings.

6 speed DSG Clutch Jumpy
You might want to take that conversation into the MK2 section of the Octavia - there would be more assistance there/experience of your MK2 car.

Radiator fan always on
We need a code scan done. Please find a local user with either VCDS (genuine) or ODBEleven, do a full code scan and post your output here.

Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDI Cold start issue
Yes, the Battery Monitoring System needs to relearn a new profile for your new battery. It is highly recommended that you code in a new battery. Get hold of an ODBEleven dongle for your smartphone. That will allow you to code up a new battery and read all fault codes. The crank time doesn't seem overly long, so I don't think that's a major issue.

New owner, personalisation questions....
Hello and welcome to the group - yes, first port of call - always do a factory reset with any new VAG car you get. Yes - there are two parts to that. Generally (although not always) - if your system has two SD card slots its probably a Amunsden system or a Columbus system. Take a photo of the front of the system (called an MIB2 system) and on the system itself - switch the system on, wait 10 secs, press and hold the Menu button. Press Version and take a photo of that information and post it here. You will probably need an updated Maps - (available on the Skoda https://updateportal.skoda-auto.com/ portal or on the Audio,Electronics and Security section of this forum) - the firmware - there are LOTS of threads available on this. Roughly speaking, if it is an Amunsden system, you'll need version 0480 firmware. However, we'll confirm that after you send in the photos.

Terminal 15 Error
Are there any wired in accessories (such as a DashCam) on the car?

MPG dropped
This is obviously worrying. I suppose we really need a couple of things (of information). 1) What type of journeys do you do? Long or short - are you a progressive or eco-warrier in terms of your driving style 2) When was the car last serviced? 3) When you say you put in oil every 2-3000 miles, how much oil and what type of oil are you using? Things to check: a) Fuel Injectors - they tend to get a bit dodgy after 120,000 miles. b) DPF - my biggest concern is that you may have a block DPF. When was the last time your car did a full/long/hard regen? Can you either invest (or go find somebody with) - either a genuine VCDS or ODBEleven scanner - get a scan done and post it here pls?

Hunter alignment code needed please
I know its the other end of the UK for you, but West End Skoda in Edinburgh have the proper alignment Hunter system with all the relevant Skoda setups.

Mirror Puddle lights
Yes, always go for the Kopacek lights - they are brilliant and better-than-factory build quality.

Did I say Pletherer....I probably meant "a - single - one" filter.

Mib 2 columbus on Mib 1 columbus screen
Err - no. You'll need an MIB2 screen for your MIB2 system. There are certain upgrade paths for MIB2 systems to run 2.5 screens, but nothing in the order you are asking.

The man in the know is @pab567 who can sort you out in that direction.

BCM module
VCDS won't clear CP. This is explained in this Ross-Tech thread . My concern is that if the boot switch is still working okay, then you either have an intermittent switch issue or the screenwash has got into the electrics and has caused the 09 gateway driver module to either short out (in which case, it is expensive to replace) or think there is still a short in the switch. A tech looking at that series of codes would look at the switch and probably replace it, then retest. Get a second hand switch, connect it up, clear out the codes and try again. If that doesn't clear out the codes, you'll know you have a problematic driver in the BCM. The only other thing I can think of - is the screenwash has capiliaried itself up the wiring harness to another connector and has caused a short there too. Download the wiring diagrams from ELSA (its about 7euros for an hour's access, download all the info for your car) and start checking there.

New DPF Cost?
You are going to have to get the head gasket replaced and/or check the piston rings if you want to stem the oil flow. That should be the number one priority, otherwise you can clean your DPF but it will block up again really quickly with excessive oil usage. TDI's can be oil burners....all depends IMHO on how the car was run in!

Skoda octavia 2018
Err yes, but generally unlikely. It will be one of two things: 1) The "bag of silicon" in the header tank has split dumping out its content into the heater matrix and coolant system. Urgently get the car to a dealer to flush out the system. 2) The flap motor (in the central console area) has failed and is not mixing the airflow as appropriate.

BCM module
Did you change out your MIB / Head Unit for anything? That has triggered out Component Protection for a number of modules. This can only be cleared by an hour's labour at a Skoda Dealer. Make sure that if you have a remanufactured Headunit e.g. updating to later MIB 2/2.5 Columbus/Amunsden system, it will need to have the CP removed. The only other thing is: the boot handle button has failed. This is a common failure and is easy to replace. Its a possibility that the screenwash has shorted out the switch too.

Octavia 1.6 dsg jerking when cold
So - formally the DQ200 gearboxes don't need any servicing, but Skoda want you to break your car so you can go buy another one from them. So - servicing a DQ200 box is a thing, but not on the formal schedule for servicing. If you don't care, carry on - use it until it breaks. If you care mechanically, then there are rebuild kits which require hydrolics and gear oil as well as the usual pletherer of filters etc. A specialist VAG dealer can help you and a Skoda Garage would do it for you - if you asked.
