Have you tried holding the lock button on your key?

Just curious why you’d want new when theres plenty out there in decent condition? Not forgetting the price difference. just so happens I stripped my Fabia last year and have that side for sale.

Assuming the Fabia vRS power steering pumps are the same (which they should be), I have a perfectly working one sat in my work (Warrington) if you need.

@Kobayashi since you’re in the north west I have a fully working fuel pump you’re more than welcome to have, no harm in swapping it and seeing if it makes any difference before parting with money to buy a new one.

Did your car have Bluetooth before installing the unit? If no you need a Bluetooth module.

Quite possibly, the wiper links are known to come off and only 1 side working. If both aren’t working and the fuses are fine there’s a good chance it’s the motor. If you’re in a rush for a complete wiper mechanism I’ve got one for sale. It’s Christmas and all so I’m not wanting an arm and a leg.

If you need a working second hand pump let me know, I have one boxed up ready to go from my vRS I stripped.

Postage wouldn’t be too expensive in this day and age, if anything I’d include the postage. I sure can, I’ll pop out on my break and get you some numbers if someone hasn’t done in the meantime.

I recently swapped my space saver for a full size alloy if you’re interested in purchasing one? As far as I’m aware it’s never been used and it looks like it too.

I can’t remember how many bolts are used to hold the rack in but I know there’s 2 different sizes and if they’re switched around incorrectly it can damage the pipes as it’s gone too far through.

No it’s just a bad design, if I remember correctly they said the seals that are used for the number plate lights aren’t that good and do allow water in over time, once the water is in that’s where it starts so then it works it’s way around.

I had that issue, I had the badge removed and filled in. Looked fairly good.

If you need any fully working parts I’ve got some for sale, removed them from my vRS.

Have you had it serviced recently? Was the plugs changed? First things first would be to get it scanned again then go from there.

No, someone bumped into me previously and I had a feeling I knew what it was as it was fine before hand. There’s only about 5 places it could leak from, the aerial which is rare unless it’s been changed, the lights which again is rare, the vents and the grommets under the crash bar used for parking sensors. Pop the lights out, bumper off and you’ll see.

Where abouts are you located? I made the exact same error when changing mine so I ordered extras, I’m fairly certain I have one sat in my drawer that you’re more than welcome to have. I noticed you’ve been to RRG Rochdale on a previous post so I could meet you or you could collect.

I have one, the small size is the one you’re wanting but make sure you get the steering wheel cover for it too so it doesn’t mark. When fitting or removing have the bar pointing towards your headunit direction or you’ll keep hitting the windscreen.

Gunna be stripping my vRS in the next couple of weeks so everything will be for sale, I’ve owned this for over 6 years and it’s never skipped a beat, I’m currently still using the car until I pick my new one up so won’t be stripping yet just giving you lot a heads up. Has a few mods on the car that will be for sale but they’ll be put in the for sale section when removed. 1: Audi TT Comps with Hankook Ventus V12’s - I have about 6 alloys, 1 spare in the boot and 1 shot blasted to be sprayed. 2: LCR Brembos 323mm with braided hoses, MTEC C-Hook discs and DS2500 pads - one of the pad plates was loose, it was put back in with strong loctite so I would advise to get that re-drilled and tapped. 3: Forge Front mount intercooler 4: Milltek Catback exhaust system 5: H&R RARB 6: ITG Maxogen CAI - had a new filter within the last 12 months. Comes with all the cleaning spray and oil. 7: R8 coilpacks and adapter The car currently sits on 134,474 but is still being used for work. It had a engine replacement at 69,915 so it only has 64,559 miles on it. Waterpump was replaced October 2019 and has been serviced every January or 10k miles with 5w40 and Denso SKJ20CR-A8 plugs. The engine has never been remapped, it’s completely standard and doesn’t burn any oil <—- I should put that bit in bold. It’s taken me to the french alps, around the Nurburgring twice and over to Poland so I trust this 100%. As far as I’m aware the gearbox is original at 134k but it’s absolutely fantastic and still working as it should. I also have another DQ200 box from a previous white Fabia with a broken engine I purchased with the intentions of swapping it over when/if this one was the fail. That was removed at around 73k miles. As stated it won’t be stripped just yet but if there’s interest I’ll happily take deposits to secure whatever is wanted. if you’re interested in the gearbox and/or engine I’d suggest popping over to see before things start getting removed. Anything else I’ve forgot will get added I should also add, collection from Oldham. I’m not willing to send anything that’s massive as I’ve no longer got access to boxes, pallets etc. 👍
