Can't find factory OEM tires?
They tend to fit whatever is cheapest for them in the right size. Do your own research and you'll probably be able to get a much better tyre than the original fitment ones

Octavia Scout 2015 - vibration at high speed and juddering on acceleration, when heavily loaded
I'd guess rear propshaft coupling as well based on my experience with a Mk2 4x4 which was similar - what's the mileage on the car

Wheel spin
Oops.. Apologies I must have misread

Wheel spin
Location location location @J.R.... By my reckoning we probably had more than 14 days in the last two years where I live or if not certainly in the last three years. And by 'proper winter' I'm counting unploughed roads with pukka lying snow... Not those light dustings that seem to bring havoc to those in the South East...

Rear wiper gasket
I had similar and water pooling on the rubber boot seal. From what I could tell the water was getting in between the rubber seal and the glass rather than the rubber seal and the wiper shaft. This was backed up by the fact that the hole in the glass could be felt just underneath but very close to the edge of the rubber seal. I managed to gently pry the rubber seal up slightly and work some windscreen sealant under it. No more leaks...

Roomster 2012. Here's a repaired turbo assembly. Is this a Skoda repair???
OE is welded but not like that... It's neatly brazed down the sides. As far as I can see from the photo the end of the plate the rod is welded to is bent which may be causing the problem.

Sounds like an asthmatic Darth Vader is behind my dash.......
How's your A/C? That sounds like a case of low refrigerant level to me.

Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
Thanks @ColinD

London Air Ambulance Octy 245's
From memory the non scout 4x4 suspension is the same as the scout - based on ours that had the rough road package. The only difference was is tyre size that gave a slightly higher ride height.

No oil pressure shown via OBD socket ?
Yours must be newer MX5 than mine then .. the older models got a pukka sensor.

Coolant temp on up hill?
Probably more likely to be a sticking shroud in the water pump.

Thoughts on the look of the Mark 2
Hmmm... I tend to disagree - I looked at a silver version on the website with the silver rear panel and it didn't look right at all - it works much better with some of the darker shades (albeit not black). Personally I think the new Mk2 shape is very much colour dependant, with the darker colours working better than the lighter ones.

the truth about electric cars
I have a vague recollection we had a plastic board type affair over the distributor and electrics on our Austin 1100 and 1300 too...

Blimey... 12 posts and you're ripping into people yourself... Talk about pot calling the kettle black... I think. you need to learn about civil discourse yourself! Feel free to upload the video so we can see exactly what was said and promised.

Thoughts on the look of the Mark 2
Maybe it's just me but I like the silver d pillar, although it is quite colour sensitive. Overall its not as taut a design as the Mk1 though and does seem a bit more 'bloated'.

Life after scout?
Ours is a 5 seater and has a spare wheel so the boot isn't as big as it could be but it's still bigger than the octavia was. One of the benefits for us though is its a bit taller so I can dismantle my daughters wheelchair and get the wheels upright at one side and the chair folded and upright at the other leaving most of the boot for other stuff. The other benefit is the massive rear legroom. We were originally looking at diesel 4x4s and fancied an SEL but dropped on a decent low meage petrol 4x4 SE with heated seats which has suited us spot on.

Life after scout?
We've gone from a mk2 4x4 tDi non scout to a Kodiaq. Suits us fine as Mk3 4x4s and scouts were pretty rare when we were looking.

So I went and bought a Jaaaag
That Is very lovely looking thing! It really shows the likes of BMW how design should be done

Headlight removal
Could be the locking tab. I had one break just under the headlight and it felt like you were releasing it but you weren't. Ended up using a small flat bladed screwdriver unxer the light unit to make sure it was releasing properly

So I went and bought a Jaaaag
Yeah... Sorry... I'd just done a 3 hr drive with my 83 year old deaf MIL so needed to wind down a bit... And looking at pictures of F-types to confirm seemed an ideal way to do that.

So I went and bought a Jaaaag
OK so have you finally bought an F-type...??? That picture being a close up of the rear wing, edge of fuel filler door and the start of the wing crease that leads from the rear wing to the top of the door, with the chomey black bit top right being the rear side window bottom trim.

the truth about electric cars
I think you'll find it was filmed on something like a Ring doorbell or similar given the wide angle lens and the home owner saying he was not at home... so no set up etc.

I locked my keys in the trunk
Fold the back seats and get at the bot / keys that way?
