If it were me and with that usage I'd be sticking with Diesel unless the dealer / Kia can guarantee an update in the future... then swap out to EV at next change.

We've got Falken Azenis FK510 SUV on our Kodiaq and, although I was a little wary at first (dealer fit on a S/H car) I'm impressed with them and have just fitted two Falken to the Swift as a result. They do a non SUV version too...

Presumably it's not possible to get at the +ve and -ve feeds to the LED's and run another LED in parallel? I'm guessing the BCM would flag an error?

It is probably OK but personally I try to avoid it - different grip levels across an axle is not god (ie wet grip might be good on one side but not the other so a different response when turning left from right for example). For me if it's avoidable I avoid it (based on crappy tyres on my MX5 many years ago when I bought it) And if I 'd paid for the Skoda Tyre Scheme as the OP seems to have I'd want it 'right'

By the looks of things they are completely different tyres and tread patterns so I wouldn't let them fit what they have as you'll have a mismatch across an axle. Either get them to source the correct tyre of argue for two matching tyres.

For info we originally wanted an SEL but finished up with an SE as we found a deal too good to miss and decided we could do without the extras, although ours does have heated seats which are a must with my herniated disc in my back. A year on we're happy with it and don't miss the SEL spec. SWMBO would prefer an electric tailgate but having seen some of the problems with them I'm glad we have a manual one.

Ah... Sat nav... We don't have that luxury in our Kodiaq so use Google maps via android auto but in our other car it's dead easy to update as you just pop the maps on an SD card, plug that in and your done. Does yours not update via the Internet and over the air? I had it in mind the new ones did either via the built in esim or by connecting to house WiFi or a mobile phone hot-spot.

Chrysler pt cruiser has wheel arch panels for bulb access... Works well. Maybe grab some access panels from a scrapper and cut the arch liners to suit?

Have to say I'm with you on not liking leather seats... I don't get sick but really do not like them and I've tried a lot including supposedly well bolstered sports seats... I much prefer cloth or alcantara

Yep we got a 2018 Kodiaq last year and found the same... The owners manual is hard going... Much harder than my experience of other makes but then we only have an SE so a lot of the manual isn't relevant...

Correct - but an early 4x4 or Scout with a PD engine is EU4 and will pass an MOT without one. It is a risk but, bearing in mind that the 4x4 drivetrain and undertrays such as the rough road package make the DPF very difficult to see, the chances of it being identified as cut and gutted are very minimal.

I agree re the lying but but it's all to do with downsizing according to BMW... Given most are turbo'd engines the last two numbers on the cars designation are supposed to give an 'equivalent' naturally aspirated size - or that's what they suggested initially when they changed, but now it's more a rough 'power band' - a bit like Audi use - and allows them to designate the same engine in different states of tune by different numbers.
