  1. Forgotten I'd asked about this- we don't have a separate sim - it's built-in but the glove has been 'red' for a week or so now. I've never used or paid for Connect as, for an SE, I'm not sure it provides any real benefit so I'll sit tight and see what happens. Thanks
  2. This is interesting as I was looking at the Racechip website yesterday for our Kodiaq - only a 1.4tsi so a different kettle of fish but I'd be interested in your feedback over time.
  3. AZ1s seem to go for about £15k now but not sure about Beats? The green del sol I saw was, a, really bright metallic green... Mamba green or something...
  4. The last del sol I saw was actually metallic green... Was a while back though
  5. Haven't seen a Beat in ages .. and it's in the best colour! I remember these, the Cappuccino and was it the AZ1 all came out about the same time?
  6. Try here https://manual.skoda-auto.com/210/en-GB/models?_gl=1*191bq03*_gcl_aw*R0NMLjE2NDQ5NjIzMTkuRUFJYUlRb2JDaE1JOVBUWmo5cUM5Z0lWRWJydENoM3c4d0ExRUFBWUFTQUJFZ0tBSXZEX0J3RQ..*_gcl_dc*R0NMLjE2NDQ5NjIzMTkuRUFJYUlRb2JDaE1JOVBUWmo5cUM5Z0lWRWJydENoM3c4d0ExRUFBWUFTQUJFZ0tBSXZEX0J3RQ..*GA4_ga*MGY4NDNjZDktYTZjZC00YTAyLTgzZjQtOGRiMjZiYmUyZDJl*GA4_ga_MS0YW0TWZD*MTY1MjAxNTE5Ni41LjAuMTY1MjAxNTIwMy41Mw..&_ga=2.193277357.1004418601.1652015197-1312855240.1642890850
  7. Nice to see you back and out the other side... And remember you may be ticking but that's a good sign all things considered!!
  8. Both above posts are valid points... Not sure what I was thinking earlier... For what the cost will be l may as well get both done.
  9. Ok this will probably stir up a whole load of comments but... Our Kodiaq (2018 1.4TSI 150 4x4 manual) has just flagged the need for an oil change and inspection service as it's 12 months since the last one and about 11months since we bought it. However, this seems to be because it's been set to fixed servicing rather than variable as it's only done about 5,000 miles, mostly long runs since the last service (we use the Swift round town for obvious reasons) and is now on 22k miles. The Haldex had an oil change at the last service (but no filter clean from what I can make out) and the brake fluid was done at the same time and previous services seem to be in line with the Skoda guidance. Given the above I'm debating just getting the Haldex done properly at and independant and potentially the engine oil and filter but leaving everything else (spark plugs etc.) for now given the mileage. The cambelt is, I understand, a 'lifetime' belt so in theory good for 120,000 miles, inspect from 60,000 onwards. So... general thoughts - haldex and engine oil or haldex only and just reset the service reminder?
  10. Just wondering if anyone else's Kodiaq is currently 'offline' and showing a red globe at the top of the infotainment screen? It doesn't affect us too much as, having an SE, we have a Bolero infotainment system that doesn't really benefit from being online - it's just the red globe that annoys me. Cheers
  11. From memory use silicon grease - that's what used to be recommended for the MAF sensors on the Mk1 Fabia
  12. Probably a good thing for the environment and us then really?
  13. Sounds like a new start button is needed... Its a common issue from what I can make out and the one on our Kodiaq was replaced by the dealer for the same issues before we bought it.
  14. They suit the car far better than I thought they might... Nice choice!
  15. I've found it stick to most plastics yes so it should do but the plastic needs to be cleaned with an alcohol (isopropyl) wipe first.
  16. If it were me I'd use 3m double sided automotive foam tape... The sort that is used for sticking badges on. I have a roll of the stuff and it's never let me down for that sort of thing
  17. You could always try M&T Transmissions in Sheffield... I know they are a long way away but ship worldwide etc and seem a decent bunch of guys.
  18. It may sound daft but I did a temporary fix on a friend's Renault 5 that had a similar arrangement using a piece of string wrapped round the rod and tied behind the piece it fitted to. It was supposed to be temporary but actually lasted about three years.
  19. Well that's something I was never aware of but the dental check makes total sense now!
  20. I may be being thick but what's the teeth thing all about given its a heart valve op?
  21. Ours is on 22k now but 4 years old and needs a service... It'll be done at an indie so I'll be asking for the filter to be cleaned as well as the dealer didn't respond when I asked if it had been cleaned when serviced before I bought it last year...
  22. Or a bit of that flat braided tape you get round heavy packages - fold it into a loop, slip it in past the door seal andover the lock button then pop the button up (been there done that!)
  23. You could - and the Chevette before it! I owned both and the switch was a separate unit to the key barrel and just clipped (or maybe screwed with a phillips screw??) on so you could take the steering wheel shroud off, pop off the switch and use anything with a flat blade screwdriver / knife - you name it - to turn the switch and start the car.
  24. Tablet tablet playing playing up up 🤣
  25. Indeed... And very nicely phrased... I'm sure there are other words you could have used Indeed... And very nicely phrased... I'm sure there are other words you could have used Indeed...
