  1. And yet you were wittering on the other week about the 5 being too small for you to fit in...
  2. TBH on the photo you can only see a few on the bonnet and the sides look OK but in person it looks like it's had a close encounter with a hawthorn hedge or similar ( IE it's been trough one recently)... the sides have full length scratches and the roof and rear spoiler are losing Thier lacquer. Buts it's done the job and is tidy enough inside (or was until we hit the beach... 😀)
  3. Aaand we have a winner... Congratulations that man! Yes it's a totally base model fiat Tipo in dark blue with a few dings and a fair few scratches that has clearly had quite a hard life over the years (it looks to be an early pre face-lift model) but from a distance looks pretty good and to give it its due it drives well. To be honest though it's perfect for the rough greek roads and if it gets another couple of scratches I doubt anybody will be too concerned. Rather perversely though it has been fitted with an aftermarket all singing and all dancing Huawei based head unit complete with sat nav. The latter is totally unfathomable though and doesn't seem able to find anywhere we need it to as its set up to use English but can't recognise the English versions of Greek placenames... Which means it's useless as we don't know greek and it doesn't have a Greek keyboard. Halelluia for sygic and Google maps though as I discovered yesterday that it also has android auto! Pictures can follow tomorrow when / if it stops raining. Ps the spare wheelwell is also a miniature swimming pool but I'm not sure if that was due to the hire place washing it before we collected it or the torrential rain we've been having
  4. Nope nothing that high brow...
  5. Nope... I wish given the torrential rain and road, - sorry, track - up to the villa we're in...
  6. Sorry @mac11irl but no.. try something a little less ubiquitous
  7. Again no... Both of the above sre possibly a bit too good compared to what I got
  8. Nope. I did think I might get one of those but no...
  9. Nope but probably equally as bad?
  10. Right it's hire car time again... Corfu again but this time in the north east of the island and with a slightly bigger car as we have my eldest with us too. So... Group D from a local outfit Get guessing 😁
  11. That looks like a loose pipe or split pump or bottle associated with the windscreen washers. From memory the bottle and pump etc. are all located behind the bumper and wheel arch liner in that front left corner of the car. Pretty easy to get to by taking the wheel arch liner off.
  12. Check for a leak in a fuel pipe... I had one once in an old chevette and lost about a quarter of a tank in a few miles
  13. EH??? whatt a stupid thing to say... are the 'majority' not able to use lifts and ramps? Yes - they are - and providing them includes for everybody. Not providing them doesn't.
  14. Just for clarity - on V5C documentation the Kodiaq is classed as an 'Estate' and not and SUV - in fact there is no 'SUV' or similar designation.
  15. Wow!!! - those statements are very naive as a minimum and show that you appear to be quite 'out of touch' in relation to how many people in this country live on a daily basis and are hand-to-mouth in terms of finances. Mind you, and please don't take this as a personal insult, it is typical of the attitudes of many people who are generally well off and also of people who constantly 'promote' or 'evangelise' about 'EVs' and 'Environmental / Green' initiatives.
  16. Indeed - the 'pay back' period on that is ging to be quite a long time??
  17. So turn the bugger off properly then instead of leaving it on standby????
  18. Blimey... Thats a bit crazy... Think I have better things to do with my time
  19. I've wondered for a while... Do you really go round each morning unplugging all your electrical items from the mains and plugging them into the little batteries you have and then do the same in reverse at night???
  20. Interesting - so basically a ten year return on investment... which is probably why a lot of people haven't taken it up and a good reason why all new builds or refurbs should have it as a mandatory requirement of Planning Approvals and Building Regs. As for "why people don't do the same sums for a new kitchen or for a new extension" they probably do in some form - but the return on investment and justification is usually non-monetary and hence not readily quantifiable.
  21. If a DSG automatic then yes, if a manual then physically probably but you'd be uninsured and not road legal.
  22. What spec is it... The 7 seat manual tdi150s from 2017 and 2018 weren't homologated for towing as far as I remember.
  23. Personally I've never had any issue with hiring an ICE car overseas and I've been doing it every year for about 30 years. I've never been charged to top up a tank as I return them full but then I always use local hire car companies and not the rip off big names... Basically people know the score when they hire the vehicle as i is spelled out and people are told - so if they are stupid enough to get caught then more fool them!
  24. Nice but not a fan of the primer grey
