  1. Decide what you want then and tell them that you’re considering rejecting the car as it’s within the first 30 days. Make sure you put it in writing and address it to the franchise manager. they will be very accommodating. The ball is in your court
  2. When did you collect the car? If it's within the past 30 days, you have a right to reject the car if it is not as described. Between 30 days and 6 months, you still have the right to reject but it's a little more complicated.
  3. Just had a chance to test the lights on a short (essential) journey which was around 5 miles on dual carriage way and 5 miles on a B road. At first, I thought they'd finally fixed the lights. It seemed to have a decent blanking arc on cars that I was following and I didn't get flashed. Granted, the lights seemed to have a fairly aggressive blanking which covered all of the other side of the road, regardless of traffic, but I could work with that. However, on the way back, I took a B road and noticed that the lights on full beam didn't seem to show as far ahead as previously. Worse than that though, of the 2 cars I met on the road, I noticed that the blanking arc was off to the side of at least one of them which led to them flashing me. I've attached a still from the dashcam. Overall, I'm not that impressed.
  4. I’ve got them as an option on the SE L and I don’t think they work. I’ll get flashed by oncoming cars even when they’re not too far away and I noticed the blanking is offset when I’m following cars. I’ve attached a photo which shows the latter and have some video of being flashed. for bonus points, they don’t always seem to step down when I pull the lever towards me.
  5. Out of curiosity, did you have a problem with Matrix LED lights? I need to test mine but that would mean finding some sort of essential journey which requires me to drive at night
  6. So I've received the car back and it doesn't appear to have fixed anything. I've let the garage know that they need to get in touch with a firm plan on when to fix or else get started with a like-for-like replacement or refund. The aftersales manager has been in touch to say he's looking into it.
  7. Car has been with the garage since this morning and they've applied the update and gave me a call. It doesn't appear to have fixed the km/miles on the sat nav nor the kph/mph on the dash. They've put the lights onto the MOT testing station and it all appears to pass. I had to point out to them that the Matrix lights only work on high beam above 30 mph outside streetlights. They're holding onto it until morning to see if Skoda come back with any suggestions but I'm not entirely optimistic.
  8. Thanks for that. I've told my garage that if it doesn't fix the faults then I want to look at rejecting the car. I've had it for a little over 3 months but I've been complaining about some of this stuff since day 2. I'd be really disappointed as the car has massive potential and I really enjoy owning it, I just don't want to be stuck with something that will be devalued in years to come because buyers will be told to avoid anything with XX and YY wrong with it. One thing that really annoys me is that they had the car in November and were supposed to take it in to fix the issues when a patch became available. I think they're only bringing me back in because Skoda UK have told them to but, if this patch has been out since 2nd Dec, why haven't they at least given it a go already? <sigh>
  9. I've had the online checkin for my appointment and apparently it's going in for recall campaign 97EQ. Criteria are 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10 & 12. I'll post an update following the update but was wondering if anyone else had this?
  10. I think you just press and hold on one of the panels. There's a whole load of different items you can put in, some of which have got different sized options. You can also have multiple home screens if you like.
  11. I have a 12 Pro and generally use Google Maps as I prefer the satellite photo view. However, I've found that if you run Waza first and then flip over to another sat nav app, it'll still give you the audio alerts. Somehow, I doubt that'll make the phone any cooler
  12. What software version are you running?
  13. When active, you can see ECO inside a circle in the dash. It'll usually be when you're not pulling a lot of power from the engine
  14. I bought a wireless charging pad. Allows better airflow around the phone and it was almost £300 cheaper.
  15. I've had an update from Skoda. Apparently they'll be installing a campaign that is expected to address all of my issues except for the kph/mph. It'll fix the units on the sat nav and is expected to fix the matrix LED alignment. Fingers crossed I guess.
  16. I think it was Dean I was speaking with. I’m half tempted with the refund route but I believe that, after the first month, your right to a refund is less clear
  17. Apparently remote lock / unlock isn’t available on all cars. I was told this by someone from Skôda UK. Not sure why and feeling a bit aggrieved about the omission of something that was listed in the brochure.
  18. Garage just phoned. They’ll come collect it on 27th to apply the recall and have a look at it. Will post back here on progress.
  19. I had a call from Skoda this afternoon and was told that there's "a new campaign" which should lead to cars (including mine) being taken into the garage to get an update to address the issue. Hopefully it'll address the other gremlins I've got as it's all getting a bit tiresome now.
  20. They're currently set "correctly" for the UK. My worry is that, if I switch it over, I'll just end up dazzling everyone all the time on the dipped beam. Another problem is that I don't go out at night much these days for some reason
  21. Have you got matrix led lights?
  22. It looks to me like the blanking is misaligned. If I’m following a car, I’ll dazzle them but oncoming traffic is fine. If there’s only oncoming traffic, they’re dazzled but I can see a blanking come off to the right. the garage thinks that the lights and the sat nav unita are locked to being on a left hand drive car. Given that the lights were a £1600 odd option, I’m feeling a bit cheated at the mo. Any chance of a refund?
  23. Does this mean they’ve fixed the matrix lights?
  24. Mine's been stuck on this for a while. I've had a couple of updates but they seem to be mainly manual updates and "bug fixes"
  25. Press the right hand scroll wheel on the steering wheel and you can scroll through some options. Press again to change the left hand selection
