Just press the air conditioning (AC) button . that will stop the load on the compressor and may also stop the noise. turning on again will bring the noise back if i am right.

There was a thread on this some years back and if i recall correctly there are no bulbs, it uses smd led's ( sub miniature device - light emitting diodes) The thread showed them and perhaps a suitable replacement though the details were sketchy..again if i recall correctly. use the search / this forum top right

how are you measuring the drain? all doors and boot bonnet , windows must be closed for the car to deep sleep.

Try turning the a/c on and off when the noise comes.

the amp is under the passenger seat. are you sure the drain continues after the car goes to sleep? (being locked for X mins where X is a value i do not recall) 10 mins perhaps?

(Please note this sentence does not begin with "SO" no sentence in the English language can!) I have cured a problem where no new recent or saved destinations can be added, the latest maps doesn't confirm completion and deleting all destination entries succeeds but they all come back the next day. The normal delete which can be found by pressing the setup button, then selecting System - factory settings- Navigation Memory and navigation asked for confirmation to delete and then did so resulting in blank lists but the next day all the old destinations would be back and recent ones I had programmed were not showing. I had previously noticed that searching for some post codes was not possible as they did not exist . The fix was to download the map partition reformatting tool called " 2720_mpf " which is an ISO Burned to a cd as it is very small and run. you then need to re install the maps To run 2720 put the cd you burned into the unit, it will actually run on its own but when completed will complain it needed an swl disc, it then tells you to reboot the unit by pressing the 3 button reboot ( setup mic and eject) The error message is "software downgrade error" the cd will then re run and ask you to confirm that you wish to proceed with the update. Once formatted it will say" SWL success " and then a pop up message "Please insert navigation DVD" The maps loaded and all is well, all destination entries are blank..

I have had to replace the drivers window mechanism like so many others and apart from a video in what i suspect is Russian I was amazed that there was nothing explicitly for the superb 2. I have produced a pdf of the procedure that I hope will help others (despite it taking me four hours to do the job) which I will email to anyone requiring it, on the condition that it is not then posted in part or whole on line in any format or on any site. surprisingly I could not find a local supplier for the genuine or pattern spare and so had to use fleabay. the seller I chose who advertised "same day dispatch" did nothing of the sort and had to be prompted the next day to send it. it was sent rubbish royal mail on a 48hour delivery and arrived 4 days from ordering. complete rubbish service so I do not recommend that you buy from "vantastic"= LR trade parts selby.

it can break within the insulating sheath and may not be obvious. it is very unlikely to be anything else.

there are two. AFAIK (as far as I know or believe) one is the fm aerial in the rear side glass and the other is either the glass on the other side or in the shark fin. i have been unable to get confirmation on this ever.

the tv channels automatically re tune as you travel around, there is no manual re tune option. if the chanels do not appear then the aerial may be disconnected. the reception is not that good either.

video option? does the tv display, does a dvd play?

This topic has come up so often I should cut and paste my reply. I had a set of 16" steels for winter use. After 4 years the 18" never went back on and in fact i should sell the,. I was replacing two 18" tyres one year and four the next, not counting two more that were written off by a pot hole and one complete rim and the L&K wheels were not cheap (now have six of them) I found breaking distance /grip to be very slightly worse but comfort, fuel economy, tyre and wheel economy, noise all substantially improved. Oh and aesthetics took a dive too. I would consider another superb in the future but certainly would remove the 19" wheels immediately and replace with 16" again.

what unit is that? where is the airbag warning light?

i would imagine a lot would happily come for that if it wasn't that it couldn't be classed as essential travel? Would sending it at the other persons cost be a lot of hassle?

aRE YOU QUITE SURE IT is lack of juice in the battery and not an intermittent starter motor issue?

A total wild guess is that the system is detecting no load so turning it back off. Perhaps a multimeter across the connector under the seat to see if there is and resistance measurable on the seat element. disconnect battery 1st (god knows why but scared to proffer any suggestions without safety 1st)

Kept my winter 16" wheels on for some years now. Saved hundreds of pounds in tyres since. Doesn't look as nice.... better for my pocket and the planet.

It was a short lived cure sorry. that is an old old post. the eventual cure was adding a cable from the negative terminal of the battery to the engine. No diagnostic pointed to it but an old time mechanic said it was worth a try and he was right, the factory earth strap must be poorly fitted or missing.

Oh and then went to another page with a trojan , luckily blocked by malwarebytes pro.
