  1. Nothing special required. torx and philips drivers (possibly just torx) so so many threads here on window regulator repair that show you where the fixings are. use the search,
  2. I dont think that site covers using SetConfig tool, that does seem somewhat more specialist that firmware and map updates. From my ivestigations the software has to be paid for and you need to remove the unit and either make a data (seriel) cable or buy one.
  3. I am told the egr valve can be removed and mapped out ( so the car doesn't complain that it is not responding) and that this has no detrimental effects at all. I do not know this to be accurate or true though.
  4. It is unlikely to be anything other than the wiring loom. Often the cables are still held by a part of their insulation so intermittent operation is common.
  5. I now have tps insisting that suffix CN is correct for the L&K where i believe it should be DF, they say that DF is for a 2014 model.
  6. asked a few now, none will answer with a number or if there is enough for the L&k. has anyone got the wiring diagram for the l&k door loom?
  7. I have asked the seller to whom a link was posted here, his reply was that he didn't know if there were enough wires for the superb with sound system . I guess I will have to pull the boot back and try to count them, hoping i dont break some while doing so.

  10. is there a special repair loom for the L&K with the extra speakers in the door? i assume it needs more wires.
  11. I seem unable to change my stored positions, can i ask -"with the keys in the ignition" is that with ignition on or off or even turned on and then back to accessory position?

  13. On some cars you could move the fuse between two positions , bridging the top two contacts gave permanent on and bridging the lower two gave ignition on. That is not the case with the superb cabin fuse box. Of course you could cut the wire at the back of the fuse box and using the correct VAG fuse adaption part connect it to one of the ignition live rails. I would have concerns messing with the factory wiring though. I have an extra two 12v cigarette sockets mounted on top of the drivers coin box (hidden from view so may not suit you) which are connected to ignition live via a fuse break out lead.

Of course you would have to inform the fitters they were there and being black they may not be easy to see underneath. As a slight aside i notice that I have only one option on that site regarding cookies...ACCEPT . ( i didnt lol)
  15. how did you check the resistor? when you change to the seat position surely the fan speed drops from maximum? ( and the max led goes off)
  16. I inserted the large outer pin and then used some lubricant on the smaller pin which i pushed onto a long bolt (m5 if i recall) with a nut at the depth of the small pin which pushed it through easily.

  18. the greenline doesnt have the sound amp or extra / better speakers.
  19. there is either chinese knock off or main dealer as far as i know. the knock offs surely all come out of the same factory? the one i bought lasted two weeks so then bought the vw one.

  21. also bear in mind that garages and dealers now suck the old oil out (they still try and charge for a new sump plug though) and as a consequence much more old oil is left and worse, more metalic sludge is left behind which will then mix with the new oil.
  22. it needs to be re set with vcds or similar. I can do that for you and am not far. pm me. (private message)
  23. If factory fitted surely skoda know what number key it is?
