The track was wet, so being honest what else did they expect with the cornering grip?

Me, you can keep the Fabia, I want the Maseratti Quattroporte, but then its old news as I have already seen 2 in the flesh in town....simply gorgeous.

yes it needs better brakes and suspension to be a better 'track' car but surely now we can justifiably say that our car feels as quick as other hot hatches at least on the straight and imo better than a lot of them in EVERDAY driving.

i bet there'll be be a few posts in the next few days from robmawer!!

I cant seem to get them any smaller, also dont all download it at once. My 128K ntl bandwidth is not the best in the world.

The Cooper is a whopping 4,330 euros - i.e. three grand! - cheaper than the vRS.

Them Skodas - expensive stuff.

So how about a more honest Dutch comparison?

Fab vRS, now chipped to 160hp, coilovers and better brakes all-round at 2,670 euros additional cost, against 163hp Mini Cooper S, which is 2,670 euros more expensive than a standard vRS... Which one would win?

A standard vRS would keep a cooper S honest in pure straight line performance... so with chip + suspension and brakes it would kill it
