Hi everyone.

Just a short introduction. I’m Daniel. I’ve worked for Adrian Flux Insurance for nearly 18 years now.

If any of you guys on here have any general insurance queries or specific problems with Adrian Flux insurance please let me know. I can assure you I will be completely impartial despite being on the pay roll of Adrian Flux. If we have messed up I will acknowledge that and make efforts to get it corrected, if any of you do not understand an insurers viewpoint I will do my best to clearly explain it.

It could be problems ranging from simple paperwork issues to major claim disputes. With my years of experience I should be able to answer most queries immediately, if there are issues or a problem that I can’t answer directly I would ensure that a relevant manager investigates these and I would then be able to relay an answer back.

I hope this will be of some helps for you.

Thanks very much.

Daniel.

Welcome :)

Why is insurance based on uberrimae fides rather than caveat emptor? ;)

Hello and Welcome to Briskoda Dan. :D

To be 100% honest with you - I'm not sure if this is you looking for more business or just looking to help people.

I'm going to take the "I can assure you I will be completely impartial despite being on the pay roll of Adrian Flux" as you are just looking to help people. In which case - Top man. That's brilliant.

There are so many insurance questions on here - You will have many PM's

Many thanks,

Rob

Oh and what are the three main components of the tort of negligence? :D

Welcome Dan.

I used AF for my insurance last year without problems and for a good price however I am about to renew with Chris Knott tomorrow as a member of your staff pi$$ed me off yesterday.

there's some fickle folk about

I insured with AF for precisely one year, but soon left after a massive increase in premium the next, and a conversation with a patronising representative on the phone. I've never been back, despite the possibility of a 25% discount from them.

there's some fickle folk about

My money - So I can be!!

The constant request for my mobile number and email address for so called 'security confirmation' was enough to seal the fate.

Cheapest isn't always best.

Seen Dan over at another car enthusiasts website, and can say he's genuinly here to help.

I have a question, is there a increase in premiums for using Bluefin Remap Unit as i've looked into them and from what ive seen. AF recognises the modification quite well.

This is taken from the bluefin website its self.

"You should inform your insurer of modifications to your car’s performance. To ease any concerns, we have a well-established scheme for bluefin customers available through a of leading agent for specialist Motor Insurance, Adrian Flux. Premiums may remain unchanged by using dedicated companies who understand the benefits a bluefin brings."

i want to know can they do cracking deals for standard cars too? im f--ked off with directscum sorry line.

Welcome

welcome to briskoda

Welcome to the site - will keep you in mind come renewal time, not sure whe it is due lol

im with AF for my insurance after they looked after my other half when someone hit her car. they were also the most sensible quote as my car has throttle bodies half the insurance "experts" thought they were in line with a turbo, and were trying to bend me over for over a grand!

AF have been good and solid so far :)

When I was ringing around last December, I was on my way to a good quote with AF, and it was coming out at about £40 more than renewal with my current insurer. I then mentioned the fact I had done a roadcraft driving day through an A.D.S which would get me another 25% off. That would have clinched it for me, but I was told I couldn't go any lower than I already was. Felt a bit cheated really and ended up renewing with LV.

Welcome dude if your genuine then im sure you will be a great help to this forum.

If you would like to PM me your client ref and the problem i can look into it for you. There is no way we wish our staff to be upsetting the clients.

Without looking at your actual Quote i can't really say why it could not be lowered any more. Maybe if you can PM me your surname and postcode i can look into it and answer your query.

We do have several schemes for standard cars as for if it would be a cracking deal not sure till i get some more details from you.

Dan.

Can you do quotes over email/PM?

I hate spending half an hour on the phone only to be told "oooh! I don't know know how they've got it that cheap mate!" which has happened every time I've rung AF :(

Thanks for the offer Dan but I'm afraid it's too late. In harsh markets like this you have to be pretty careful not to lose customers over such things as staff attitude.

FWIW the promise to beat a competitors quote for my renewal was a load of cr@p too.

Maybe next year eh.

I know I've harped on about it and it may seem a triviality but I really don't like the way the team try to extract information from the clients under false pretenses, why do they persistantly ask me to 'confirm' an email address and mobile number for 'security' when they plainly don't have the information - that's just downright underhand. If I wanted you to have those details I would have provided them.

Hi,

I can understand that it's to late for you but i would like to know who it was so that the service team can look into any issues as it may not have just been you that had been spoken to like this.

Can i ask why the promise to beat other quotes is crap? Are we going about it the wrong way or something?

The service teams have to ask 3 items of data before they can start discussing a file with the person on the phone we use Date of Birth, Mobile and Email. Even if they are not on the file we would expect our staff to ask them.

If you would not want them to be asked a note can be put on the file and 3 other questions such as postcode,Reg and make of car could be accepted.

Presumably because you're not beating them ...? :)

We can do them over a pm but we would need to call you with the actual quote figure.

Or i can arrange a callback at a time that is suitable for you.

Hello,

Yes we cover Bluefin no problem. Normal there would be an increase in premium for this compared to a standard car as it increases the BHP however the schemes we have got will normally keep this to a minimum.
