  • I've stripped both cars, cleaned the estate and today i got the engine loom, abs pump, brake lines etc swapped. I had a mechanic friend over doing the clutch, timing belt, water pump, hybrid turbo et

  • Tell me about it, i'm always fixin them. So far in my house he has fitted a dimmer switch, something is wrong here.

Both wings were damaged mate. I have salvaged all panels that were ok.

Pah, half a job!!!

You left a seatbelt in

Looking neat though mate. Any scrap value for damage repairs etc?

I left the belts in as they had both gone off so not much use.

I rang about four scrap places to see if they wanted to collect it and all wanted money for disposing of it. Steel is worth next to nothing at the moment. The farmer who runs the farm is getting shot of it for me. Should make a bit out of the parts we don't need with any luck. Ill get the Estate built up first and then ebay the left overs.

looking good :)

Looks like some decent hard work is still to be done... Great pics though..

Don't tell me Bengie's ambulance is broken again :P

The back box was delivered along with the Estate at the weekend, just sorting your bots out Jason, what part do you need again Jason, be better than sending the whole thing it you dont need it all.

Hi - Just the backbox and tailpipe. I don't need any (much) pipe on the engine side. It will be a big box to let me know and £££ coming your way.

The paintwork on the old one is still in great condition

vRS front bumper on the way ready for a bit of subtle modding.

Is it getting smoothed Ross?

Steve

I had to deliver the estate late Sat night filled with bits from Forge, Allard, and various other gubbins like the lights etc in their 'mildly damaged' state.

The original vRS front bumper was completely shot and beyond repair, that ebay one looked like it could be very much used ;)

Just to apologise to Ross in public, the car was delivered with stuff in that should not have been in there, lack of time but still, really sorry as should not have happened regardless.

This is gonna cost me a beer token or two ;)

You should keep those videos of your girlfriend more securely.

I am more discreet than posting videos/pictures of myself in those kind of situations :easter::censored:

;)

Must admit I cannot wait to see the end result of Ross' handywork, should be a very interesting drive once done, currently driving a 1.4 petrol Kia (not in UK) which is remarkably ok to drive considering the roads here, but getting 200bhp instead of 100 in the same body will be nice :D
