Still getting more than 600 miles/tank out of my 110bhp Octy mk1. Averaging more than 55mpg & averaged over 60mpg on a 2 week holiday in France this July & I don't exactly hang around! Maybe I got a particularly economical one?

I have a mamouth commute to work as I'm from Greater Manchester and am based down in Tidworth, South East Wiltshire, at the moment I'm coming home once every 3 weeks so apart from the 3 and a half hour commute down there, the car stays put in the work car park, so I'm averaging 450+ miles off a full tank, at about 56-57 mpg and that lasts me 3 weeks-ish

not too bad i don't think!!

I average 290-310miles to the red line from my 1.4 16v (100bhp) Fabia

i get 250 miles on a 1.4 auto fabia

Not long enough :D Too much fun to drive. Best I've managed is a week.

my tanks lasts me 3 weeks ish. travelling a round trip of 16 miles a day and more at the weekends. The trip is mostly dual carriage way at 50mph and some city and car park drivng.

I generally get about 450 miles to the tank and use the computer to fill up and not the fuel light.

When I swapped from a 1.2 clio to the fabia my fuel bills stayed the same on the same journeys. I get more miles in the fabia VRS which negates the cost of diesel over petrol.

I always say that a 1.2 economy is the same as a 1.9 turbo diesel for my style of driving.

Makes total sense for me.

Always fill up using the "nipple" teqhnique. Last night it took 42.09 litres @ cost of 45 Euro. Previous fill was on 11.11.08. Best result yet 70.54 mpg actual - computer said 4.1L/100km. Round trip to work is 110 miles a day but this included 2 round trips of 34 miles with the trailer on collecting turf (wife likes to keep warm!)

Car has done just under 51,000km and average mpg since new is 59.8 mpg - just about run in now.:)

Average about 350 miles on a tank, which lasts me one week, thanks to the ..ahem.. "joys" of commuting to Manchester, plus a fair bit of weekend motorway driving.

At present, my fuel bill is a bit better than it was, but when it were more expensive, the fuel cost per month was more than the loan payment on me car!

In my Fab VRS I used to go through a tank roughly every week or so.

Max mileage was (see attached), max MPG was (see other attached). I miss those days...

Course, average was closer to 58mpg. This was after having followed a very slow truck up the A595 to Carlisle.
