Badges that don't belong...

Featured Replies

You know the type i mean. A car that has the badges from a completely different brand to make it seem 'faster' or 'unique'.

I just followed a Honda Accord with the BMW Mpowered badge proudly above the Accord badge.:rofl:

Really wanted to get a photo but couldn't

Anyone seen any better ones? Pics are good too if you can.

Remember when I was a kid there was an old Fiat 126 just down the road from me with a huge "TURBO" sticker on the back :D

Pretty sure they also had a 2CV at some point with an even bigger Turbo badge on the back of it!

I saw a Type R badge on a corsa once. But even Honda are at it now, putting one on the new civic FN2. ;)

I admit having a Renault Clio 1.9D (non-trubo) and putting a Turbo_D (from a Pug 306) on the back of it.

Although, driven well it did shift, big engine in small car = quite quick

Best one I've seen is a Cavalier GSI with about 20 GSI badges on. It had 4 on each side, 4 on the front, 4 on the back and a GSI sun strip. Might have been on the wheels too.

What about a Lada with NOS signs on it?

Regular sight around the city is a Octy II estate with a Type R badge on the back....

Seen a normal Beemer with an M3 badge.

Also seen a Rover 200 with a VW TDI badge (the red ones)

Must admit to putting 1.3L badges on an old escort diesel, back in the eighties, when the babs were having a few weeks riding round carparks with the ministry checking fuel in diesels

Saw a cupraR badge on a astra van once... oh and a vRS bag on an OctyII Sport :P

Too many to remember; have seen a similar M-Power badge though - think it was either on an Avensis or an Accord

I find the whole thing pretty strange to be honest. Someone even turned up to a Briskoda meet with one

I saw some chavved up Octavia MK1 RS with a 1.4 badge on the back once............

1.4 mg zr diesel with a turbo badge on the back. however infront of the turbo badge was a replica 'fq' badge, evo style haha

Well on my VERY slow Suzuki SJ410, there is a 'Nitrous' sticker on the back! I didn't put it there, it was there when i bought it!

The thing with Nitrous stickers is they are not specefic to one car/brand as anyone can have a kit fitted, so its not the same as putting a Porsche Turbo badge on a Fiat Punto ;)

That said, if i had NOS fitted, i still wouldn't put a sticker on my car telling everyone.

Focus RS with the RS part of the badge from an RS4 or similar

You can get all these badges at Halfords , the Porsche style 'Turbo' script , the Saxo style '16V' badge (which if applied in the right place on a 16v car , doesn't look so bad!) , the Type r badge etc....all availible in the Ripspeed area.

I'v seen a Rover 620 with a Tyre R badge on it

ripspeed got me a sport badge for my renaultsport 182 for 1/4 of the price of the steelers

Maybe not quite on topic but one badge that had me stumped for some time was the one on certain models of Accord(?). Knowing the Japanese tendency at the time to put badges/stickers on the back for everything - number of valves, number of gears, number of airbags, I really thought it over the top to have a badge:

"2 0ils"

i can go one better than badges where they dont belong,

today at work on the car park there was a fiat punto 1.2 sx and cable tied into the front bumper there was a intercooler, and looking closer there wasn't any pipes over the ends either :thumbdwn::eek:

In my younger days my micras which I owned my first one on a S plate, had max power stickers under the 16v badges (16v badges came as standard on the 1.0 micras of the time).

My next car another micra on a 03 plate had the saxo style 16v badge on the boot lid, which looked quite good at the time.

There's a Mk4 Golf 1.4(still badged as such) in the car park at work with Sunny GTiR badging.

Sadly, he's got the bonnet vent, roof spoiler and a 5 inch exhaust too
