Negative Camber Wanted!

Featured Replies

I want a good negative camber setting on the rear of my fabia vrs but I hear it's no adjustable :(

Is there a way to create negative camber on the rear or even like a spacer or something somewear to create some?

I want I want I want NEGATIVE CAMBER lol!

Any help is much appreciated guys :)

p.s. I done a search and found nothing :( well thats any use lol (mostly octy stuff)

Are you looking to eat your tyres and affect stability, or correct?

I'm not convinced you can use a camber kit on the fabia as it's a fixed rear beam. Only adjustment is slightly left and right.

Basil used shims to adjust toe!

So same principals?

Here!

Ah, fair enough. I don't even remember that thread. So, for negative camber you just need to use excessive shims, as Basil only wanted to ensure his were properly level, not sitting on the negative.

Why "I want I want I want NEGATIVE CAMBER lol!"?

just cause my handling is pish and I love the look of negative camber and my alignment is out so though why not try find how to do it...

Keith, if you fancy it we could do this at the same time dude? some negative cmaber will let you keep the car at the height you've got it and save your arches lol

If you add neg camber to a vRS the wet road holding is going to be very interesting. I would seek professional advice before doing this.

lol no chance! i'd need serious negative camber to tuck into my arches, that would just scrub the inside right out of my tyres.

If you think you handling is bad now then i wouldnt put any more negitive camber on ;)

Aesthetic considerations outweigh practicalities every time.

Im a youngster ;)

only 20... 21 this year though

tbh im not to keen on the camber thing! if done right it can look good but i only like it on other peopls cars lol.

i dont want to spend money on new tyres after wearing out the edges and would rather spend it on other bits and bobs!

I got negative camber with the shims, np - fairly equal as well.

If you read the guide, and a linked post it should give you an idea of what to shoot for, to get what you want...

Another idea is to find the dead centre of the rear axle and wind a chain around it and attach to a floor mounting. Winch in and measure till happy.....

had my fabia for about a year now :) I take care of my car and I'm not a sterotypical young driver lol more of a mature head on me as I know there's no point in driving like a fanny.

That only gets you killed or others, so I drive my car nice and well and don't through it around everywhere or thrash it :thumbdwn:

So to answer the question hopefully another couple years ;)

Can't remember cause it's through my dad's company as it's mega cheap only like £600 a year or something  but thats helped by being on a policy with like 12 other cars with loads of no claims lol
