Ours (DC04) will be 9 in March.

All it's required in that time has been a couple of filters,A new crevice tool and a cable!

Though my mate who fixed it did 'pimp it' with a DC07 motor.

mother has one and in all the years she has had it its only ever been sent off to be repaired twice and she couldnt fault the customer service received, in fact she phoned them both times after receiving it back to thank them for their outstanding customer service and turnaround time.

Now - have a look round the office cleaners and see what they use - surprise ,surprise it's a Henry or similar ,priced at around £100. (usually a lot less ).Why -they just keep on working .

Dyson produce a new model every month, is that really a good move? If permanent filters were so wonderful and effective why don't cars have them?, especially considering a vacuum has to catch smaller particles of dust than a car.

If you want a decent vacuum cleaner, then it's Miele for a cylinder or Sebo for an upright.....and guess what both use bags (for a reason).

That's not a bargain! My new fridge freezer arrived yesterday - Beko, originally £550 down to £298! Swmbo was a little surprised by the size of it - but she likes the water dispenser! Also bought an indesit washing machine, £229 down to £194.
